These Producers Are Sick

I definitely think BB has gotten meaner this year, and I believe it is b/c Arnold Shapiro is no longer there to co-produce the show. Since Allison is now in full charge, I believe it has something to do with her way of producing the show.

I'm not sure Alison was going for meaner edits, but she is certainly going for the easy edit.

Bitch has ruined the basic aspects of this show...

You mean the live experiment where the HGs are a slice of America forced into close confinement with people outside their comfort zone and not permitted any contact with the world outside of the BB house?

If so, I see your point. They haven't mixed things up demographically in a long time. It's like there are no fat people, no Asians, or anyone over the age of 44 since Season 4, yet there's always a gay or two, always a Christian or two, and way more silicone and beefcake than is in the real world. Even the jobs are skewed. If America's employment is like the recent BB houses, then most people are in the food service industry, have a SAG card or both.

exactly what I mean... Plus all the dumb twists, the AP, and the stupid theme... Rules for some, none for others... Infuencing houseguests on what to say, how to vote... This is not reality tv anymore... It's a scripted farce...

Don't forget playing clown music when they interviewed Kail's husband? WTF was that for?

What was that about? I didn't notice it. If they keep ragging on hg friend and family members no one will agree to be aired. Then what are they going to do for filler?

They've mocked the Christian aspect, and later dialed it back (anyone else notice no more organ music?)

They've mocked Jenn's vanity.

They've mocked Dick's name-dropping, but it backfired because it turns out he DOES know all those people.

They've mocked Jess's pettiness over the $5.00. Had Carol stayed, the pettiness may have continued.

They've mocked Dustin and Joe's sexuality by playing up their stereotypical "bitchfights" and anytime either one of them acted in a stereotypical manner.

They mocked Amber's lack of brains, yet haven't mocked others in the house who are equally illiterate when it comes to the English language. Even Jess who supposedly is in college, comes out with some really grating mistakes.

They mocked Kail's small-town view of gays

They mocked Amber's Next Top Model comments and I don't think that was an accident. She talked about that weeks ago and nothing came of it except on this board.

Reading this list, it all comes clear to me now, especially with the 'ciggie' incident.

Until the night of the broadcast show, all anyone had seen of the ciggie incident, was one angle, and that allowed a lot of speculation as to what had happened. We even had reference made to the image on the screen in the control booth, telling us that more happened. And so, to oblige our blood lust, BB-Alison, fed us red meat in the form of multi-angle camera footage designed to make the viewer froth at the mouth for more. Which we are getting, in the form of hourly Jen 'slams'. I'm sure the producers are egging that on. Gotta keep the lions happy! Toss em' some more fresh red meat!

Coupled with all the other 'scripting', 'handling', 'dumb' twists, and over the top behavior, we get, in my opinion, a lousy show. Yeah, it's a pressure cooker in the BB house, but this year, the pressure is off the charts, and it shows.

I also agree that the producers are trying to make sure America votes Amber out. I don't think they liked the publicity they got with her comments about Jewish people.

Edited to add: The organ music was back yesterday, too.

Does anyone know, is this the first time BB has asked HGs to strip for prizes?

I'm sure the crew enjoyed that comp (or were maybe sickened by it: think Amber, ugh!)

I doubt the crew has better looking wives than Amber (if so, not many), but that's just me basing it off the "average american." I don't understand when I see comments about her being fat (not that the pp did). She's not Dani or Jessica, but she's hardly in the fat category. She's very average, and I bet if many of the men on this board saw her ... they'd want a date, but don't want to admit it b/c she's so hated. Personality and her being a nutcase are another story of course ;) A naked woman is a naked woman... many of us who are skinnier would look just as horrible if they were bending down or caught in an image they weren't "posiing" in.

Anyway, I was surprised they made them get naked too. By make, I mean... if they didn't, they'd be hated by the hg's for ruining their chances at winning the price. Seemed very unnecessary. They could have just put on extra clothes underneath.

If Kail were there still I highly doubt she would have played. I am married so I would not get naked period! To be honest I thought it was in poor taste for BB to do such a thing. Jameka and Amber "God's Girls" should have said no, no matter what. I can't believe people sell themselves so short for money.

I don't know the answer to that but I don't recall any where they were totally nude. I personally didn't like it. The producers seem to have gone out of their way to humiliate the HGs this year. Did anyone else find it strange that NONE of them kept their own undergarments on beneath the costume? Obviously they were told they had to only wear what they were given, which means they had to undress completely in front of the camera crew and whoever else is behind the mirrored walls getting their chub on.

Also, Jessica came out of the DR and announced that she was picking teams based on gender - what caused that brainstorm, I wonder???? Clearly she was tipped off as to the need for that. If Dani and Dick were on the same team, one or both would have refused to compete and that would have been the end of that.

Frankly, the nudity was unnecessary to the task and a cheap stunt on the part of the producers. Would the outcome of the game been any different had the men been able to keep on their own undershorts and the women been able to keep on their own bras and panties beneath the BB issued costumes? All that would be different is what the cameramen and the rest of the crew got to see (and the film editors, and the sound mixers, and the lighting guys, etc. etc.)

I also found it a bit sexist. The men could hide everything under the bubbles but the women didn't have that luxury. Female audience members like myself got nothing out of it - we see the same stuff every day when the guys are in the pool. Did CBS really think seeing some fuzzed out boobies would attract the 18-45 year old male who can watch porn on his computer 24-7 if so inclined or did they do it to embarrass the female HGs who take great care to not show their nude bodies while showering, etc.

True, anyone could have chosen to sit out, but if even one did, they screwed their entire team because they wouldn't have access to those letters. They pretty much had to choose between becoming a target or becoming a co-star on some perved-out CBS techie's porno flick.

Well, Amber's not fat, but she's not the most attractively shaped person there.

I also thought it was interesting that Amber and Jameka chose to strip, being so religious and all, but hey, they're in the BB house, so obviously that's not a concern. To each his own.

And I agree that the whole thing reeks of a set up b/c as someone pointed out, Jess magically and deliciously had the idea of boys vs girls and the set up just happened to have a partition so that they couldn't see each other undressed (but the crew can). And yeah, Dick and Dani seeing each other naked would have been gross, so obviously they had to separate them so they would both participate. And maybe by dividing them by gender, that would ease any qualms that Amber and Jameka had about getting naked.

Jess knew because when she came outta the DR,

she had the rules to the comp in her hand.....

Remember, how for every comp the HOH always comes

out of the DR with that paper in their hands, then reads from it....

She had the rules so, that is how she knew....

It was not a set up......

and as far as I can remember, this is the 1st comp that

contained nudity....

I wonder if the producers hinted to Jess to make the teams male/female? I can't imagine any of them doing it if the teams had been mixed. What the hell would Dani and Dick done if they were on the same team?

btw.. Amber weighed herself this morning 165 lbs.

165 lbs!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! That is my freaking weight and I thought I was too fat and too old for the show!!! Apparently, I'm still too old, but Amber is deluded if she thinks that weight is going to get her on ANTM.

I still think the contest was lame & designed for the cameramen to get off but I'm just sayin...
LOL!!!!

That fuzzy round circle would have been an oval had I been in the house. Just for the record, I would have stripped and had no qualms about it, but the camera crew would be hurling up their BigMacs.

All four women left in the house are modest, with Dani and Jameka moreso than Amber and Jess. Compared to past HGs at this point in the game, they still take extra care to ensure privacy in the shower, etc. which made me feel that it was designed specifically to entertain the crew and embarrass four young ladies who aren't the exhibitionist type.

They had the choice to participate just like they had the choice to go on the show. If all 4 of them decided not to do it I highly doubt they would have been a 'target'

I believe God brought us into the world naked so it is okay
