Its amusing how the same people defend their favorites non-stop and pat each other on the back for doing the same. The only peoples opinions that matter are the people who dont have favorites or the people who dont let bias get in the way of an objective opinion. The later people are a special breed and there are very few that actually post. So Jen lovers will continue to defend her and D&D will do the same. It really is pointless arguing with people who refuse to have an open mind.

Yes....No....No... If somebody sat down by me and blew smoke in my face I

might have gave him a smack.....Jen shouldn't messed with the cigs. Or Dick

with the clothes. I think that Jen just snapped. In past weeks she had put up

with alot from Dick. I think in her mind she had a truce with D/D and I think

she thought she was safe from going up....Then D/D is trying the dackdoor

move on her.. So she just lost it..and..The eating while on slop, was just a bad

move....JMHO

I can't wait to see how CBS edits this whole blow-up for the show!

I have ShowtimeToo and I'm visiting my Mom and she doesn't have it....

BBAD has been a snooze fest for weeks (beer pong every night) and the one

night I can't watch and theres a little excitement.....grrrrrr!

Maybe my wish will come true and Jameka will get voted out!!!!!

I agree with alot of your post Elle......

want to push Dick's buttons, you go after his daughter.

Why are people so gung ho to get Dick out of the house. It would be a much worse punishment for him to vote Danielle out of the house to get under his skin. Can you imagine if everyone said "we are voting out Danielle because of your behavior." He would go ballistic & she would just wallow for the entire week saying it's so fruuuusssstrraaaatttiiiinnnnggg.

Did you not see the cigs being destroyed and stomped by Jen? How is it that Dick started it? Jen is pissed for being nominated. She started it. He is a jerk though and I can't stand his verbal abuse to her. But SHE started it. And I think she was reading the book trying to get him out of control so that he was the one to get a PN or kicked out. Didn't work though. :footballhelmet:

I think it would be completely normal to smack away the hand that is smacking at you. With your hand. Not jabbing at the hand with a lit cigarette. Maybe I just have a different, less violent view of what is normal than some people on the board. One person posted earlier that if someone tried to take a knife they were using, they would stab them with it, and that Dick had every right to burn her on purpose with the cigarette if she tried to take it. I don't see it that way, but I guess I am way different as it would take a lot for me to be that cruel to another person, even if they were in my face.

It's difficult to avoid "jabbing with a lit cigarette" when someone is swinging at you and you're trying to get a hand up to deflect a blow.

As for your knife scenario, I don't know if Dick had a right to purposely burn her if she tried to take it or not. I do know that if someone is threatening my life and it comes down to either me or them being grievously or mortally injured, i'm going to try my hardest to make sure its them. It's got nothing to do with cruelty, its self-preservation.

My main point is still being missed...I NEVER again read NEVER said she was not at fault. I said they BOTH WERE at fault and BOTH needed to be evicted or at least both deserve penalty nominations. They BOTH ignored the rule about eating regular food while on slop because they BOTH thought they were going home PERIOD END OF STORY.

Dick's mean, simple as that. That's why I wouldn't shed any tears if he left. Don't get me wrong, I like the entertainment factor so hope he stays a little longer, but no, I don't want him winning this season.

By destroying Dani's stuff, you force him to react with the same. It will carry on much longer than if she was simply voted out. He'd go nuts for awhile, but then calm down. Start attacking Dani, start ruining her things...crap, the sh*t would hit the fan all the time!!! That would by far have more of an impact than simply voting her out. Voting her out is like some sort of protection, a shield from exposing her to the bad stuff. I say, no way... expose her to the bad baby!!!

:stop:

lets get one thing straight... he did not get face to face and blow smoke IN her face!

he stood about 3 feet from her and blew smoke in her direction. (big difference)

did he do it on purpose? YES. is he a jerk? YES. is he a prick? YES.

did she sit there eating on purpose? YES. is she a jerk? YES. is she a twit? YES.

so its pretty even with the two of them.

Dick definitely has different rules than the rest of the house. I didn't actually see him eat, so I haven't commented on that, but I know it was reported. He should have gotten the same punishment as Jen, but CBS doesn't want Dick to leave.

As for not being biased, I actually dislike Jen. I just don't like Dick and I don't like the way that anything he does is okay.

I did not state correctly the knife comment. The person said that if they were eating and someone grabbed at their knife, they would turn it so that the person was stabbed. That's not stabbing them, and it's not a life-threatening situation, either. In my opinion, it is much more violent than I would ever be--I wouldn't want anyone to stab themselves, even if they tried to take a knife I was eating with, and I wouldn't want them to be burned if they tried to grab a cigarette out of my hand.

In that case I agree with you, that's taking it a little far (with the knife thing)

Yeah that was a joke trying to say that someone grabbing at a ciggy was a life threatening situation he was never concerned with her hurting him...

He might not have been concerned with her hurting him, but that doesn't mean he isn't equipped with the same reflexes as, oh say, the rest of the population. If someone tries to hit you, you're going to flinch or raise a hand to deflect it or try to avoid it.

his only concern was to inflict as much pain as possible

And how do you make that determination? Nothing that he's done in the 50 or so days he's been in the house has suggested to me that he would try to hurt anyone physically. Verbally, no doubt. But he was hardly trying to "inflict as much pain as possible" by raising a hand with a lit cigarette when she was trying to slap it.

If that is the argument I continue to stay that they should be both out on their a$$ for their parts in the incident. Both took an aggressive stance during it so both should be gone. Hold a ciggarette like a dart and jabbing someone with it is not a defensaive stance. At no point did he look concerned for his safety. He was SMILING the WHOLE time!

I don't think for one minute that the producers had nothing to do with Jen's actions. Who will give better ratings, Jen or Jameka? There's no way they are letting Jen go this early. She is the only one left with enough brains to challenge Daniele and Eric. Dick is just Daniele's henchman, Jessica is window dressing, Zack is a waste of space and Amber is just a joke. They need Jen to keep this season from going down the tubes.

Here is the video that shows Dick actually trying to burn Jen at the end--it's not just defensive, and if he wanted to defend himself, he could just use his hand. It's not a reflex either.

Edited to add: At one point, Dick shoves her with his foot to get her away from him, and I think that is appropriate. But not the cigarette thing.

Wow, of course last night was the ONE night I pick to not record BBAD or watch feeds...JEEZ! :shocking:

IMHO, Jen did this all on purpose as a ploy to either:

1) Get her last digs in on Dick before she walks out the door

2) OR the smarter ploy...intentionally get a penalty nom, knowing that it may keep her around another week. Jen is not dumb and she had been reading the rule book for quite some time before this happened. I wouldn't put it past her to do all of this for the express purpose of one last fighting chance at staying another week (plus, she got to be mean to Dick as an extra added bonus!).

My vote is with #2...wish we could hear her DR sessions from last night.

As for the question "Would you have done the same thing?" I kept hoping she would sling that cottage cheese into his face! Would not have been any different than the tea.

What I don't understand is when Nick was on the block to go home he was on slop but he ate and no one said anything to him. And if I remember Dick was on slop last week and he ate why don't they say anything about that ?
