Thanks for letting us know realityfan. I hadn't heard of this show so, I googled it... lol

From CBS site:

Join 16 modern-day pirates as they embark on a high seas adventure around the Caribbean island of Dominica in search of hidden treasure that will total $1 million. Over the course of 33 days, the pirates will live aboard a massive 179-foot pirate ship.

Each week, these buccaneers will go on extraordinary expeditions and decipher clues along the way. Gold coins - real money that the pirates can take with them beyond the show - will be awarded after each treasure hunt, but only to some.

The prized gold will then play a key role as pirates strike deals with each other and vie for long-term security.

Claiming the lion's share of the week's riches, one pirate will become the captain of the ship and will assign roles and chores to the remaining crew members, setting the tone for law and order or betrayal and sabotage, which could lead to mutiny by the crew. Such fates will be decided on the ship at Pirate's Court, a lively gathering of public speaking and judgment where one individual will be "cut adrift" every episode.

In the end, captain or not, only one pirate will win the largest booty, worth $500,000, and claim the title of "Pirate Master."

Part of article posted in Survivor forum.....Spoiler: Survivor 15 thread.

"In addition to "Pirate Master," Mark Burnett Prods. is producer "On the Lot" for Fox (premiering May 22), as well as a "Shrek"-themed online skein for AOL and DreamWorks.

The Eye's summer sked kicks off May 31 at 8 p.m. with the premiere of "Pirate Master." The skein inherits "Survivor's" regular season timeslot, bowing seven years to the day that "Survivor" first premiered on CBS.

Net ordered 13 episodes of the unscripted adventure last year (Daily Variety, Nov. 6).

For the past couple of years, CBS has aired the "Big Brother" results show on Thursday nights. With "Pirate Master" now slated for the night, it's possible the net could be mulling a change in the "Brother" air pattern."

It premeres May 31st and 8pm. That's a Thursday. When does BB come on? Tuesday, Thursday, and Sun? It's on the same network though so no worries.

That's what does worry me, well a little but not alot. CSI is winding down for the season and they basically show reruns all summer. So, that probably means that CSI will come on at 10, if Pirate Master comes on at 8 and BB at 9. Which means, what's happening to the show Shark? Shark comes on right after CSI, so if this is the time schedule, Shark is either being cancelled or moving to another night.

edit: or CSI may be coming on at 7. During the summer, they've been known to run 2 episodes of CSI, especially if they don't have anything in the lineup and they use it as filler. So Shark may still come on at 10. I just really like that show. :P

Former NFL Star Leads CBS' 'Pirate' Cast

Series will also feature on 'scientist/Chippendale dancer'

Christian Okoye of 'Pirate Master'

Christian Okoye, a two-time Pro Bowl running back, is the most recognizable face among the 16 potential buccaneers competing in the CBS summer reality show "Pirate Master."

The Mark Burnett produced "Pirate Master" premieres on Thursday, May 31 and will take the standard 8 p.m. ET "Survivor" time slot through much of the summer.

On "Pirate Master," 16 contestants will live aboard a 179-food, square-rigged barque. Over the course of 33 days, they'll live as buccaneers, traveling around a Caribbean island in search of a treasure totaling $1 million. Each episode will find the contestants gathering at Pirate's Court, overseen by host Cameron Daddo, where they'll state their case and somebody will be cut adrift.

At 45-years-old, the Nigerian Nightmare, who rushed for 1480 yards and 12 touchdowns in 1989, is also the oldest member of the "Pirate Master" cast. Only 43-year-old marina owner Louie Frase comes close in the decidedly young-skewing cast.

Although the cast includes the usual assortment of Burnett-picked transitional occupations (bartenders and students), the nautical themed show has a few interesting alternatives. There's a dive master (Kendra Guffey), a smokejumper (J.D. Norton) and, best of all, John Lakness, whose occupation is described as "scientist/Chippendale dancer."
