I Want to Be a Hilton

Let's see: $200,000, a fab Manhattan apartment for a year and access to the Hilton Rolodex

Great comments from the Watercooler! As usual, they are right on target. What a ridiculous show! If they were going to produce a show with such a flaky concept, why not call it "Socialite for a year" or "Wannabe Hilton"?? I can't believe people actually wanted to be on this show. And I can't believe that people want to be like the Hiltons  I guess after one year of living it up, the winner will skulk back home to their old life, probably having spent all of their prize money? :? LMAO, the "fracas" thing was hilarious!

POOR RATINGS: Turns out not many people want to watch a Hilton, nevermind be one. Tuesday's premiere of NBC's I Want to Be a Hilton finished fourth in its 9 pm time slot with 6.8 million viewers. The Peacock fared better at 8 pm with Katie Couric's exclusive (and unpaid) interview with "runaway bride" Jennifer Wilbanks drawing 8.7 million viewers.

I didn't watch but was not surprised by the low ratings. To me the gall of Paris Hilton's mom telling people how to act in high society when her daughter is always struttung aroud Los Angeles half drunk and stared in her self made porno is to much for me to take. Etiquette and Hiltom seem more like an oxymoron. Glad I skipped this one

I tried to watch. Notice, "tried". I couldn't get interested and and found myself hitting my "recall" button to TVLand for Bewitched reruns (which is always where I land when bored).

Frankly, I do not want to be a "Hilton for a Day" and do not see why anyone else would want to be either. I found the show to be shallow and uninspiring, even with the big cash prize.

I agree with StephenV. Kathy Hilton isn't much of a role model to teach a person "Social Etiquette". Does she not read People magazine or Star? Can you imagine having Paris Hilton as your sister?

Nebartist I didn''t watch the show so if it's a tongue and cheek stab at high society I guess it would make more sense than.

Before I begin, can I just say how much this show's cheesy theme song about "high-society life" makes me want to stick sharp objects in my eardrums? OK, with that out of my system, I can get to the business at hand: discussing how much Team Madison sucks. Then again, if Madison losing means we get to hear more from Latricia, and enjoy her perfect eye rolls, I'm all for it. It's really quite natural that she thought the Hamptons were friends of Kathy's
