Coup E'dtat - New Twist

That's why Dani thinks it's safe to put James up. They only need 3 votes for him to stay. It could be a 3-4 vote, then James could nullify one vote and Dani would be the tie breaker.

Right now they think they have CT's votes, but I wouldn't be surprised if Will votes him out. Janie needs 5 votes to stay which is unlikely but possible.

The coup d' etat will be introduced on Thursday (that is what Julie said). Also she said that all votes from here on out would be live. It's likely to be very unpredictable.

What was the terminology that Julie used? I think she said one egg contains the power to "cancel someone's eviction vote". I don't think that would mean that the vote would be given to the other nominee, just that there would be one less vote that week. And I think he would use the vote for himself if he needs it down the road. I didn't hear the part where she said it was good for only this week. Did anybody catch that part?

As far as the coup d'etat, I think that will come with a huge string attached. I have no idea what that will be all about.

If James were smarter he would realize the main reason Dani is putting him up is to get that nullification pass out of the game. She doesn't trust him with it. That speaks volumes. Otherwise she would just put up Kay and Janie or Janie and Howie.

If he saves it for later, it could wind up biting Dani in the butt.

James is gonna be stressing big time. It is too hilarious. He may hate Janie for lying to him, but at least she never intended on putting him up. She's had HoH twice and he was safe both time.

Also, he can't really be mad at her about CT, since he's trying to be in an alliance with them....which he initiated through Dani the week he was HoH (week 3, before Janie's HoH).

He was looking for an excuse to defect and Janie gave it to him with a big red bow.

"... the power to cancel somebody else's eviction vote" is good for one week.

(I was at a concert last nite, so I taped the show. After seeing the lack of certainty about what was said, I re-watched it and those are Julie's words.)

Can someone tell me WHERE/when in the show she said the thing about overthrowing HOH?

Sam,

She said it close to the end of the show. It was when she was talking about watching Sunday to see who won the HOH and who is nominated, Tuesday for POV, and Thursday for live eviction where the Coup d' Etat will be introduced.

UPV,

I can't believe Dani is thinking of putting up James, but that is what she wants to do as of last night.

Sure it's good for one week but it doesn't state THIS week only. It can mean that he only has the chance to do it one time, and can't do it multiple times. Just a thought.

I'm thinking he'll probably have to decide to use it before voting even takes place. If I remember correctly, in season three, when it was down to the final two, the HouseGuests were permitted to cancel out someone else's vote, if they wished. They had to do it BEFORE the votes were cast.

I'm guessing the same thing will happen, this time.

I would think that the producers will have several approaches for this twist, and will pull out the one they want after the new HOH is determined. Yes, it's a twist, but it's also a vehicle for scripting the show the way they want it to go.

Does overthrowing an HOH mean that another is automatically substituted?

Does it mean that a now-democratic house can vote for the new HOH?

Does it mean a hide-and-seek contest that could take two weeks?

Does it mean a now-or-never decision?

So many ways it could go.

I would love to see this new twist take effect before the live vote.
It would be so cool to see that happen and then to see Dani and Marcellas be the 2 being voted on for eviction.
Marcellas would totally lose it and that would make for a funny show....lol

I hope they make James nullify someone's vote out loud. He would more than likely dq Howie's vote. That way, the remaining HG's wold know eactly where he stands.
