Big Brother Season 26 - Episode 37 - Veto Meeting and Live Eviction

Recommended Posts

Cam and Makensy. They sit side by side on the block, and they are the only two left standing in the final and most final and most important Power of Veto competition of the season. Which one will claim victory and the sole power to evict? Welcome to Live Eviction Night on Big Brother!

Previously on Big Brother, we were down to our Final 4, but it was Chelsie who punched her ticket to the Final 3. Knowing all power lay in the Veto, Chelsie put her two closest allies on the block and Cam seemed ready to cut Makensy. At the final and most important Veto competition of the season, both Rubina and Chelsie were eliminated, leaving a do-or-die showdown between Makensy and Cam.

Which one of them will in the Power of Veto and earn the sole vote to evict? We are just days away from crowning the winner of BB26, and by the end of the night, we will be down to our Final 3. Plus, Kimo says Aloha to the Jury House, and last year's winner Jag is back to break down one of the most unexpected seasons in BB History. All this, right now, live, on Big Brother!

Good evening, I'm Julie Chen Moonves. Welcome to Big Brother. It is Day 87 inside the Big Brother House, and with her 4th HoH victory, Chelsie has tied the record for most HoHs in a single season, and in the process, she has guaranteed her spot in the Finale. But who joins her will be determined tonight as the Veto competition concludes, leaving the winner with the sole power to evict live, and send one more Houseguest to the Jury.

Who will be evicted and who will make it to the Final 3? We'll find out live tonight. But first, when last we left the Houseguests, Cam and Makensy were tied going into the final round of the Veto competition. Who will claim victory? It's time to find out.

With both having two Error Strikes and facing elimination, the final round of the Veto competition came down to Cam and Makensy, both needing to act faster than the other to claim the most crucial prize of the season.

Round 11: The image is of HoH Leah prepared to throw the ball at JANKIE's Knock-em-Down game to win a second Power of Veto. Cam narrowed his answer down to either Day 61 or Day 63 but guessed the wrong one first, giving Makensy the window to narrowly lock in the correct number and secure the final Veto.

The Houseguests teleported from the game grid back to the Big Brother House, where they first realized Makensy had won. Makensy worried that Cam would take Chelsie to Final 2 over her. Chelsie was pleased with Makensy’s victory, as it placed the responsibility of the last eviction decision squarely in her hands, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to work to ensure Rubina was evicted.

Rubina wasn’t too concerned, believing Makensy would stick to their plan of an all-female final three. Meanwhile, Cam was disappointed, having hoped to win the Veto and finally have something to show the Jury. He's going to have to talk to her to show how he can benefit her game.

In a backyard conversation with Chelsie, Makensy was unsure of her decision, fearing Cam’s strong performance might make him a bigger threat than Rubina in the final competitions, even though they've grown closer in trust. She feared losing would push him to try even harder in the Final HoH competitions. This is not good for Chelsie's game, she says privately, because Cam is more likely to take her to Final 2 than Rubina.

At the Jury House, Quinn is taking it slow with Leah, who wants to see where things go naturally. They were less than thrilled to welcome Kimo as their newest member, as they had hoped to see either Chelsie or Makensy walk through the door instead, recognizing the strong games both women were playing.

When they watched the video, they weren't surprised that Makensy won again, or that Kimo and Rubina were on the block. T'kor says it was obvious what was happening. Leah has seen this show before, and Cam, Chelsie, and Makensy were clearly working together.

As they watched the BB Comics competition, Leah loved her Chubby Chaser comic. Angela also loved her Atomic Mom comic, boasting that a 58-year-old lady took out one of the strongest guys in the House. When the top 3 players were revealed,
they were surprised that Cam didn’t even place, leading them to believe he might be throwing competitions. Angela called him an award-winning floater, which drew mocking silence from the other Jurors.

They were not shocked that Makensy won, and Leah noted the strong girls were carrying the season. Quinn agreed as if he had just realized how the guys had been emasculated. T'kor notes the emotional difficulty of being on the block against the person you most trust in the game. The jurors acknowledged Makensy’s string of wins, seeing her as a tough competitor to beat and probably willing to take out Chelsie. However, they also viewed Chelsie as a mob boss controlling the season, with Cam in her back pocket. They feel Rubina is probably more favorable to Makensy's game than Chelsie's.

Big Brother Season 25 winner Jag Bains joined Julie Chen Moonves to share his thoughts on the current cast. He called the Houseguests insane and enjoyed the BB Arena competitions, comparing them to the excitement of a Double Eviction. Makensy’s decision to evict the loyal Leah was the worst move of the season, he said, while praising Chelsie’s manipulation of that eviction as the best move, eliminating someone who was targeting her.

Jag confessed that his decision to evict Felicia or Matt weighed heavily on him and his position as a role model for his Sikh community influenced his decision to keep Matt, even if that was not the smartest game move.

Jag pointed out that Rubina has two allies on the Jury, two automatic votes, which could pose a threat to either Chelsie or Makensy. He called Cam an enigma who would had a tough road to convince a Jury he deserved to win without comp wins or game moves.

Chelsie’s game was really strong, both in comp wins and in her social and strategic games. She's set up very well for the end game. Makensy has clawed her way to the top with comp wins, but it might depend on who she sat next to in the end. His prediction? Chelsie would be the winner if the Jurors weren't bitter.

With 9 total competition wins, Makensy has cemented the title this season of Competition Beast. But tonight's eviction could be her biggest challenge yet.

Back in the Big Brother House, Cam attempted to make a bacon, onion & cheese BBQ sandwich, but toasted it without butter on a skillet, burning the bread. But he's happy with it.

In the Unicorn Bedroom, Rubina made a last-ditch effort to persuade Makensy, reminding her of their shared goal to have three women in the final. Rubina also warned that if Cam made it to the final three, he would likely take Chelsie with him. She promised that if it were up to her, she would choose Makensy over Chelsie.

Makensy appreciated Rubina’s pitch, recognizing that Rubina might be easier to beat in the final than Cam. However, when she later discussed the situation with Chelsie, they agreed that while Rubina had a compelling story for the Jury, Cam might appear as someone they carried to the end. Chelsie also pointed out that he might be seen as more likable and that Rubina had two strong supporters on the Jury, while Cam did not.

While playing cards, it dawned on Cam to slide into a conversation with Makensy. She candidly shared her concerns about keeping him, saying it was difficult because of his closeness with Chelsie. Cam, trying to sway her, suggested it could strengthen his case to take out Chelsie and go to the end with Makensy. His only chance would be that shock factor with the Jury. Privately, he didn't know if he would do that but he needed her to believe he would. Despite his pitch, Makensy remained uncertain and felt she needed more time to think.

At the live Veto meeting and eviction, Makensy said sorry, not sorry, and used the Veto to remove herself from the block, and Rubina took her place in the nomination chair next to Cam.

Cam made a boilerplate plea to Makensy for her vote, after which Julie Chen Moonves burned him about not giving a shout-out to his dogs in the crib. The Houseguests erupted in laughter as Cam jumped up to quickly add them to his plea. You already know how you're walking, he said repeatedly.

Rubina started out her plea with a shout-out to all her dogs at the crib (that's how she said it), then congratulated Makensy and repeated her desire to see an all-female Final 3.

Makensy explained that loyalty was important to her, and she had to stay true to the people who played the game alongside her from the beginning. With the sole vote to evict, Makensy faced the two nominees and chose to send Rubina to the Jury.

After nearly tripping on her way out. Rubina joined Julie Chen Moonves for her post-eviction interview. Inside, Makensy said she was still shaking.

Rubina said she wasn’t shocked by Makensy’s decision, as she had sensed in recent weeks that the others had a Final 3 deal, and Makensy confirmed it just before the eviction. She had hoped the all-female alliance pitch would sway Makensy, but it didn’t. She reiterated that her promise to take Makensy to the end had been sincere and she played by feeling.

When asked about her relationship with Tucker, Rubina said that since his eviction, she had been able to focus on her own game and not on not getting into a Showmance. As for the future, she has no expectations and hopes there is an opportunity after 4 years of not meeting anyone.

In their Goodbye Messages, Chelsie said she still hopes to make Rubina's dream of a female winner this season come true. Makensy said her resume was too good (really? Rubina scowls) and her jury management was insane. Cam tells her she's a bright light and peace out.

Rubina expressed being humbled and blessed to have made it this far, it shocked her. She's done crazy things and this is the craziest, but she wouldn't trade it for anything.

Back in the Living Room, Julie Chen Moonves congratulates the Final 3 who all feel amazing. One of them will win Big Brother and the $750k Grand Prize. The live 2-hour Season Finale is only 3 days away. The Battle for the final 3-part HoH will begin shortly.

Makensy pops open a bottle of champagne as Chelsie dances, chanting We Did It. Cam toasts to Us.
