1950s/1960s Serling-like 30-minute jobbie?

Recommended Posts

It aired in the 1950s or 1960s, maybe on the Twilight Zone, Science Fiction Theater, or ? I want to know the name of it and where I can access it.

It opened with a man, obviously upset, running about and trying to find another man. He is not sure why he must find the other person. Eventually

he finds the other character, perhaps with the help of mysterious instinct. They talk in the other fellow's office; the man he searched out tries to calm him, but to no avail.

The seeker and the other finally physically confront one another, and the seeker slips and takes a nasty fall which lacerates his wrist, His wrist's skin is thick

and plastic-like. There is no blood. He opens the "skin" further from the laceration and he sees cables, pulleys, wheels, and blinking lights.

The other man has a compassionate, grandfatherly look, and says, "We were going to tell you, but we could not decide on what was the right way."

Obviously the fellow was an android, trying to find his maker. He was such a well constructed android that he had no suspicion that he was anything but a human.
