TV_Paige Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 2006 Outer Critics Circle Awards by Broadway.com John Lloyd Young in 'Jersey Boys' "Jersey Boys" and "The History Boys" were awarded the top 2006 prizes by the Outer Critics Circle Awards. The story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, "Jersey Boys" took home Outstanding Broadway Musical, Outstanding Lead Actor for John Lloyd Young and Outstanding Lighting. In addition to Outstanding Broadway Play, "The History Boys" took home four awards, including prizes and stars Richard Griffiths and Frances de la Tour. The biggest winner was actually "The Drowsy Chaperone," which won in four categories. The Outer Critics Circle is an organization of writers and commentators for all media covering New York theater, representing more than 90 outlets including Broadway.com.
