I just watched most of the first episode and I'm finished. Chef Ramsay is a pompous ass! It was mentally exhusting watching him barking orders and hurling personal insults at those poor wannabe chefs. IMO this is Hell's disaster. Sucked!!!!

Am I a bad person for digging into this one? Because it may be the nastiest reality show ever to hit the air. Yet there's something about culinary guru Gordon Ramsay raking 12 chef wannabes over the coals that's just delicious. As is Ramsay himself: He's like Bobby Flay, Simon Cowell and the planet's scariest Little League coach all rolled into one seriously unflattering apron that's cinched in the back by a string of bleeped-out expletives. God bless him. The bit where he sampled the assorted trainees' signature meals was both cruel and grueling, though I'm not sure who suffered most

The craziest part (IMO) in the whole show (yes, I watched the whole show) is that 3 lady customers came to talk to Ramsay about their orders and he says to the Matre' di (sp?) "Please escort these bimbos (sp?) out of here".. The ladies went back to their table and one of the ladies complained that Ramsay told them to leave. Not once did any of them get offended for being called a BIMBO.

Then near the end of the show he says something about escorting them back to their plastic surgens. That man is CRAZY!!!!!

He was stupid to think that these people could run a restaurant on the Grand Opening and some of them aren't even chefs. Then he gets all upset like its their fault.

If I had a shot for every time I called him an idiot last night.....I would still be reeling from a hangover.....He is such an IDIOT!!!!!!

I'm convinced that the restaurant patrons were planted "extras" and in on the whole scheme. I can't imagine any group of people waiting that long for a meal in real life. Nor can I imagine anyone taking the abuse that Ramsay handed out to the 3 women. I also can't imagine any legitimate restaurant opening with completely inexperienced chefs and an egomaniac at the helm. Although I guess Ramsay has worked at restaurants before.... I think his being an ass is a schtick, though. Not a very good one, he's definitely stealing from Simon Cowell or whoever that guy is on American Idol, but he's playing a type, the British Villain.

So I actually watched the show to the end, I have to admit it. I'm interested in the opinions of those of you who also watched the show to the end: what was Elsie thinking?!?! There were WAY worse people than the 2 she nominated. And what's up with her stabbing Dewberry in the back?! Who wants to make an enemy on the very first day?! I liked her up until then!

OK, so you had to know that we'd be losing Dewberry. Let's be honest: If walking out on his Red Team during the restaurant's doomed second night wasn't bad enough, the overgrown muffin still deserved to go based on his lame-o defenses on the chopping block last week. "I have a good base knowledge on... general things, you know?" No, I don't, buddy. And I want the folks pan-searing my scallops to know a bit more than just "general things." Like how to properly hate on Elsie for selling him out in the first place. Or how to handle a mofo like Gordon after he cuts off the Blue Team's air-conditioning for losing the squid-cleaning contest.

Seriously, somebody needs to set that Brit straight. The customers may not always be right, but they will always be the customers. So quit bitchin' in the kitchen and feed those poor people before they order in even more pizzas! Oh, and send Jeff home next while you're at it. I'd rather watch Edward Norton look-alike Andrew bad-mouth Mary Ellen than listen to that kidney-stone-chondriac suck up to his maniacal mentor any day. Except maybe the day when the hunger-crazed whiner with a doctorate in Music Ed bitch-slaps ma

Dag. I don't know what's worse, that weeping patron upchucking smug Andrew's salty risotto or Gordon's rage-aholism sending Jeff the quitter right for the hills. Of course, when I say "worse," I obviously mean best. As in "this may have been the cuisine-and-scream reality show's best episode so far," thanks in large part to the nightmare that was night three at the restaurant. With two food critics in the crowd and not a damn hope of his wannbes getting their act together, Gordon unleashed his inner Ike Turner on not just Andrew and Jeff, but also poor Wendy the perfectionist. Who, by the way, never got anything right. Ironic or sad? Discuss. Anyhoo, my fantastically talented (and single, ladies) chef friend gave me a ring-a-ding right after to discuss the events that left me

I have seen the 3 shows so far and I can't belive the way he acts towards the customers.

Fox finally has a good reality tv show.... will keep watching to see what he does next

I think Andrew's still here because secretly the old buzzer was pulling for Andrew to bow to him so he could mold him into the himself. I think Andrew reminds Gordon of Gordon ... arrogent, bullheaded, etc..

And the quote of the night goes to... Jessica! "Frog just went into my eye." Lovely. Well, I guess that's an occupational hazard of working in a kitchen that serves Kermie's legs. Much like having your ass chewed out by a British chef who's obviously skipped his meds. Of course, I'm betting even the best pharmaceuticals couldn't take the edge off Gordo's seething distaste for Andrew's messy garnishing chops or the misplaced tuna entr

Tonight's episode.. June 27th

In the beginning when the red team won boy the blue team were sore losers. Come on now get over it and be gracious.. I can't believe Micheal sabotages the blue team.. That's horrible! So shameful.. I don't like him now and I don't trust him either. I want him gone. When the red team lost I'm like okay now let's get rid of Micheal but then Micheal picks who should be gone? WHAT? NO!! Okay he picks the people so why did he pick Chris to leave? I hope Micheal does not win at the end.. Oh oh during the course of watching the show tonight I ended up having a crush on Chef Ramsey! Altho I wasn't happy with him when he told Jimmy and the customer to lose weight but maybe that was just staged I don't know.

I loved the pasta competition! Sonya, is that when you developed your crush? He was having such a great time. You don't see Chef Ramsey smile that often. I missed half the show (the last bit). What was the reward for winning the pasta comp? (AND only by .01?? wow!)

Yes!!! That is when I developed my crush. :) Chef Ramsey is very attractive. He has a nice smile.. Umm the reward for winning the pasta comp was to go on the gondola.. Is that how you spell it? They had fun. :)

Wow. And all along I've been thinking our tattooed Michael was the good one. Diligent, reserved, all inked up. Who knew that a) he was such a manipulator and B) crazier that a s---house rat? I mean, it's one thing to convince his Red teammates to bury the Blue Team in lasagna orders while working the floor on pasta night. That's just good strategy

I think Michael shaved the poodle on this one. He got rid of an ally and a one of the strongest members of his team. I was pulling for him to win but that move was stupid. No way that chick and Jimmie can pull it off without a team reshuffle. Bad move. Now if the teams go more into individual cooking (as was implied by the previews for next week) then he might have made a good move for himself. I doubt it though b/c there would still be the team challenge - like serving. Are ya kidding me? If they have to do the serving again...they lose. Jimmie sucks in that department and no way would I eat the food he brought. Ack!

I really like the blonde and Ralph too.

Have you seen the British Ramsey show(s)? There was one running on BBC America called Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. He's much nicer on that show. Still very direct, but much more supportive and not nearly as abusive. He has a much more, um, attractive personality!

Hmm yeah, 'tis true the team is much weaker without Chris. However, IMHO Elsie has done a fabulous job, for someone who's not a professional chef. I also think Jess and Ralph still have a real liability with Andrew holding them back!

Personally I think the teams are pretty evenly matched. Each team has a professional chef (Michael, Ralph), one good amateur (Elsie, Jess) and one liability (Jimmie, Andrew). I can't wait to see what happens next!
