very upset. you think the last season was bad with fractions this will be worst. i dont get the point of an alstar edition. the very best players at competition will be target earlier. most people favorites will get an early exit. so i know if my favorite james gets picked he will be leaving pronto. very dumb idea by cbs. i believe veto/hoh competition will be rigged because now that the producer knows everyone strength they can designed comps to favor certain people and get certain results.

if they are gonna have the allstar edition i hope they dont bring back holly. if she comes back i probably willnt watch this bb

One fear I have with America voting the players in is that there would be many voters that may have only seen a few of the seasons and not know who the other previous HGs were. Also I think everyone should have only one vote. Those that vote continuously buries out the vote of those that can not or will not vote more then once. Many will think if they only vote once, then why bother...

That's why the producers left the option open to supersede the public vote to intervene to have a well balanced house. I'm sure there are millions of BB fans that have not seen every season, myself included.

Last night I started to think about how much All-Stars was going to be totally lame like Survivor All-Stars but ended up instead thinking this might end up being a pretty fierce competition after all . . .

Like Dr. Will would seem to be a primary target, but what if he's been cultivating relationships with past contestants for months and made secret pacts with ALL the potential houseguests? He might be safe for a while.

Or what if the other former winner Jun takes a page from Dr. Will and convinces people keep her around to 'use' her for her cooking and vote and people do?

Say somebody like Chicken man gets HOH - do you put up James the veto king because with his friendships of Kaysar, Janelle, and Danielle that could put a target on your back if he, well, wins the veto. Maybe he'd instead put up Danielle and Nakomis.

And what's crazy Allison going to do? Is she going to get Janellous and try to take her out? Or maybe she'll try and manipulate poor Kaysar and Janelle'll try to take her out - cat fight!

Jase is no threat - will he float his way to victory?

Or what about Kaysar the viewer favorite and non-threat in terms of game-play . . . will his fan popularity keep him safe until it's too late to get rid of him?

When does Chicken man become a threat?

And what about somebody like Roddy?

So yeah it's kind of lame that we don't get to meet anybody new, but since there's so many targets and a houseguest can only get rid of one person at a time this might actually get pretty vicious (maybe?) Cautiously optimistic . . .

Well... With new HGs we can listen to conversations and watch the alliances form over time.

Many of the all-stars have already formed friendships outside the house, or at least have had lots of contact after the show with parties, lunches, etc. There may be friendship ties that we will never hear or know about inside the house as the seasons plays out. Perhaps this may be a non-issue but my gut feeling is not optimistic.

I also wonder about the dept of conversations over the 3 months. Have we not already heard most of the stories? Just how much unexpected entertainment can there be? Yah, there may be catfights and backstabbing but we get that also with new HGs but with a lot more unknown conversations. I just don`t feel pumped up about this all-star thing...

If CBS wants a true all-star game they could fill half the house with past selected players from BB 1-6 and the other half of the house with players from past BB seasons from other countries... Would that satisfy both camps?

Perhaps that could light my coals that are at the moment still frozen...

I don't really know how i feel about this all stars thing. Half of me doesn't like this idea just because i want to see a whole bunch of new faces and hear some new stories and jokes and stuff but the other half of me is pretty psyched about it because if i see somebody like jase and howie in the house, then i know it's going to be a really entertaining season and i'm definitely gonna stay up to watch them clown around in the middle of the night lol

Yes, I understand that there will be people on the show that we already know, already heard their stories, BUT if CBS does the smart thing and has people from each season to pick from. Then make sure that 2 people from each season HAVE to be on the show. Also, none of the winners or runners up are eligible. Maybe the people to choose from are those that got evicted first, like Mike, those that didn't make it far.

Just something to think about.

Here is something we can hope for - because this is a special edition of BB allstars, it would be cool to see as many former guests show up for appearances and games as possible.

(recall they have done this with select previous season people)

I think it would be awesome if every week another couple of formerguests from every season would make some sort of showing.

Even if they came on a satellite feed on the house plasma screen or something.

I like that as a way to keep up the novelty - like since we won't have 12 new people for 12 weeks, maybe they can give us 12 not-new people for 12 weeks and as many of the remaining 55 for a couple of hours each throughout the summer. Even the most hated or boring player ought to have an interesting story or update to share with people, wouldn't you think?

And CBS must be saving a fortune in $ by not having to fly all the potential houseguests into LA for background checks and psych exams and stuff - if they don't spend the money they saved on this then yeah hopefully they'll spend it on better comps, etc.

That's true - guess there's two aspects that make BB unique - the live feed portion and the competition portion. I've never actually been that into the live feed portion BB for some reason (probably because it costs $ - lol) so guess it's hard to miss something I've never had though it sounds like the lack of novelty'll be pretty disappointing . . .

This is totally off-topic, but is something wrong with the roll-eyes smilie face? Mine's got closed eyes and a little smile --->

Anyway . . . so yeah guess the 'special guest stars' idea doesn't sound as fun an exciting as newbies, but hopefully the producers do have something up their sleeves to keep people interested otherwise it sounds like they'll be losing a lot of $ on live feeds (?) Then again, these are the people that thought up the 'Summer of Secrets' that lasted all of about 2 days so who knows . . .

Ehh, I'm a little skeptical. Firstly all my favs. from BB6 (Friendship) will most likely not be back; and if all "good guys" are voted back into the house that sounds pretty boring. I hope some of the spit fires like Amy, Ivette, Jase, and Diane are put back in (even though they may be annoying, they make good TV/live feeds). I also am not too big on the precconcieved notions many HGs have about eachother (do we remember Marcy + Roddy spreading hate about Danielle so no one would vote for her? imagine that straight coming in the house). This also could be a repeat season of two large alliances slowly bashing each other (good drama, no real game play during the week). But hey, any BB is better than no BB at all right?

I am a little worried about the fans voting in the favs thing. I think a lot of fans came to the show a few seasons in, and will therefore vote for the people from the last season or two. I started watching mid season three (or was it four -- it was the one with Allison and Jun), but I would REALLY like to see some of the OLD players that I never saw from the first couple of seasons get in the All Stars -- it would be NEW to me, at least. And I am SOOOO not ready to see people from last season return.

usually around this time there are tons of fans searching for any info they can find on the upcoming season. once i found out it was an all stars.... i just didnt seem to care. i check the bb board every now and then (like right now) but i am not into it like i have been in the previous years.

of course i will watch it when it comes on. but i dont think i will have the same "must see" attitude i usually do with BB. and i am still pondering on if i will be getting live feeds this year or not. depends on who ends up in the house i guess. i certainly wouldnt get the feeds if the likes of say... Holly, jase, april or any other obnoxious idiot is in the house.
