Angelo Joe
Seems like I've heard about this and that it was I Love Lucy. Probably way off, but that's my guess. Have no idea about the second part of the question.
Rejuvenated
Ricky and Lucy are a little too early. If no on gets this by noon tomorrow I'll post the answer and someone else can give us a question. One day is more than enough to tie the game up and let people get bored. Angelo Joe
Thought so... On which TV show did we first see a married couple sharing the same bed on a regular basis and why did the producer's feel it was ok?
CeCiMom
Wow Rejuv... this is a hard one... fun too. I really thought I had the first part correct as I was sure I've heard Mary Tyler Moore talk about this specific subject. Looking forward to the answer... How about, Oh wait... maybe it wasn't Mary Tyler Moore talking about it.. .it was Mrs. Brady. The answer is... The Brady Bunch and I still have no clue why producers thought it was ok. Rejuvenated
I hate to say it, but nope, sorry Ceci. You'll laugh when you figure out the reason why they thought it was ok.
CeCiMom
okay... let's try this direction. The reason the producers thought it was okay was because they were married in real life? Now what show... LOL
ART VAN DELAY
Was it the Dick Van Dyck show ?
kayo
Ok, I think I might have it...It was The Munsters, and the reason it was deemed ok was because they weren't considered a human couple.
Rejuvenated
Let's call this one over. Kayo, you were the closest since oddly enough, you got the second part of what I was looking for in this one. The answer I was going for and the one you will find most often is: Darin and Samantha Stevens of Bewitched because the producers felt it was ok since Sam was a witch, not a human. Now, if you go to Morty's Fun Facts page you will find something interesting about a show from 1947 called Mary Kay and Johnny. The only online reference I could find on this show is linked below. It was a 15 minute live show starring a real life married couple. Whether or not they actually slept in the bed or if it was just on the set is not specific. http://www.snopes.com/radiotv/tv/marykay.htm take it away kayo, you're up
morty
May Kay and Johnny did, so they win by a landslide. The second place position is in question as I've been told Ozzie and Harriet slept in the same bed. The problem is I only have about 15 episodes of their show (which ran forever) and none show their bedroom.
