  1. I really wish I had some guilty pleasures this summer. I didn't watch the bachelorette, nor did I watch the bachelor pad, which I think was on tonight. I don't like the Real Housewives, that are on now. I only like OC and NY. Sigh.... And I don't get into Big Brother at all, which seems make up the majority of the action on this board. Thank goodness for Top Chef, and Project Runway, or else I would be reality free. Perish the thought! Although the latter are not anything that I'm embarrassed to admit that I watch.
  2. Are you suggesting the Jake is voicing regret over sending Ali home when he did? If so, this is one premeditated set up. I wouldn't watch, because I don't watch Ali at all, but I could almost believe it. I never bought that she was popular enough with the fans, to be given her own season. But if this whole thing has been set up since who knows when... I think Jake was planted in Jillian's season to be the 'hero', to set up his own season. And of course, Ali, planted for the 'it's Jake or my job -- it's my job ... no it's Jake.. but now Jake doesn't want me...' scenario. And then we have Jake breaking up with the girl Ali hated so much, for no apparent reason IMO. Sounds far fetched, but I actually could see something like what echo has suggested. It's almost like the producers have accepted a challenge to see how much garbage they can feed the fans, before we finally all say 'enough'. Well, I've said 'enough', with Ali's season. I can accept the staging, and scripted-ness, to a point. But Ali being the next bachelorette, was where I drew the line. I do kind of miss the show. I miss making fun of them, and being grossed out by all the kissing, and fantasy suite dates. I never get to see anyone jump into someone's arms and wrap their legs around him. You'd think as much as that happens on The bachelor, that you'd see that once in awhile, out in the real world. But I don't. Hmmm....
  3. Is this season close to wrapping up? Any talk of who the next bachelor might be, from this crop of guys? Or, could they.... would they.... do we dare to hope... cast someone new?!? Since I haven't watched any of Ali's season, I don't think they would get me back to watching, by casting one of her rejects. Because I know at some point, we would have to hear about her, and see her again. It's nothing personal, but I am determined to not see Ali on tv ever again. I think I am offended that she was cast as the next bachelorette, when I found nothing likable about her, and found her to be the worst actress EVER! I could not stand the fake crying and pouting, and I don't want to see any recaps of it. So I'm hoping for someone new, not because I really miss the show that much, but because sometimes on Monday nights, I just don't have anything else to do... I'm so pathetic.
  4. I didn't even see it, but if I was a betting girl, I'd put my money on 'it's all fake'. They will get more fame ***** mileage out of their fake tumultuous break-up, than they would from some sappy wedding. I bet Ali is ticked though, that it's supposed to be her season, and people are still more interested in Jake and Vienna. I haven't watched one bit of her season. Even thought I believe this show is 99% fake, that isn't why I'm not watching Ali. I've accepted the show for what it is, and still manage to be entertained, so I don't care. But I don't want to see Ali, just because I saw more than enough of her during Jake's season. I think it's hilarious that he seems to be stealing her thunder. Tee hee......
  5. I thought it looked like Anya left Cristina completely in the dust. Nigel mentioned she had 'lazy feet'. I guess..... I don't like or dislike her, at this point. But that was my least favorite routine, hands down. And I thought she was the farthest from being at the ability of the all stars, in her style. Kinda hated that routine, so maybe my opinion is clouded. I loved loved loved seeing the all stars, but for me, it was difficult to tell who was who, when some groups had so many dancing, and they all looked so similar from a distance. But I think that frustration will end, when they partner up, when they start actually competing. I love the first routine, and everyone in it. Love love love!
  6. This disgusts me. She disgusts me. But it was totally predictable. Please, no one watch. That is the only way we will ever be free of this woman. I'm not sure that will work, but it's the only chance we have.
  7. I thought the same thing. I haven't even been a little bit tempted to tune in. Even with nothing else on, and nothing else to do. Other summers, I've watched The Bachelor / ette, just to give me something to watch. Not this time, and it's obvious I am not alone. Maybe the producers will get a clue, and some new blood in there. Because if no one is watching Alli, then no one will be interested in any of her rejects, for the next season, if there even is one.
  8. I agree as well. It seemed to me that those of us who really liked Rupert before, were completely over him this time. I still don't dislike the guy, but he didn't add much to this season. And I thought he was awfully hard on Russell. He made terrible judgments on someone who did what he did, in the name of the game. I just have a hard time distinguishing an honorable lie or manipulation, from a dishonorable one. I also couldn't stand Russell, but Rupert thought they had joined forces at one point. This, after he had already voiced his opinion on what a horrible person he believed Russell to be. I mean, I understand why Rupert would give it a shot. He didn't have much to lose. But he shouldn't have been so upset about Russell's betrayal. It shouldn't have been all that shocking.
  9. I thought Brandy's points were ridiculous. Caite can play whatever game she wants to play. If she wants to mess up someone's game, just because she doesn't like them, that's her prerogative. You can call it stupid to not have tried to take out players who were stronger, but she did what made her feel good at the time. I hate to use this buzz word, but I think it empowered her. Don't get me wrong -- I don't like her, and am glad they didn't win, but for someone to berate you for how you played the game, at that point, was stupid. Brandy was far and away the stupid one. She is going to be one bitter and lonely lesbian, if she can't let this go. It's like she got no pleasure out of the race, because of that one thing. U turn is part of the game. Relationships are also part of the game. They purposefully alienated Caite, so they simply reaped what they had sown.
  10. Wow - Carol should have been embarrassed. I thought it was bad enough when they wouldn't not applaud Brent and Caite when they arrived. But that outburst was so bad... What a bitter, pathetic lesbian Brandy is. Oh my gravy!
  11. Isn't the jury just supposed to sit there and observe? I realize they can't help but show some reactions to what goes on at tribal, but I find Courtney's antics annoying. She's also whispering to fellow jurors, during tribal council. I'm not a Courtney fan, or foe, but if her actions are inappropriate, or against the rules, I would like someone to make her knock it off, or maybe she needs to be kicked off the jury. It seems like of silly, since it's just a game, but still.... everyone else manages to play by the rules. Why should she be the exception?

The fat dude judge is especially obnoxious. Who is he, and why does anyone care what he thinks? I realize he's something big in the fashion world, but he's no one to me. His pompousness adds nothing to the judging panel. I liked that crazy supermodel - Janice Dickenson??- better than the fat dude. I seriously hate him.

Reality tv is killing me! Remember from Survivor, year ago, the chick who kept saying 'Oh my heck'. And now we have the cowboys on AR ( whom I adore) saying 'Oh my gravy', and now we get 'Oh Mylanta'. Wha???? I heard it was from the old annoying Bob Sagat sit com 'Full House'. Stop it. If you don't want to take the Lord's name in vain, stick with the tried and true 'Oh my goodness', or 'oh my gosh'., or take a page from the 'Bewitched' handbook, and say 'Oh my Stars'. Those are the only acceptable options.
  14. And even though neither of the girls ended up with the idol, if Amanda had kept it, and not shown it to the villains, it may have kept the idol out of Russell's hands. Maybe......
  15. Geez, why didn't Amanda just act like 'Wow-- i just found a clue for the hidden immunity idol -- how 'bout that!', instead of the stupid girl fight. At first, I thought maybe Colby was letting them fight, because he's a guy, and don't guys like that kind of thing? But I really think he didn't like having his movie interrupted. Candice is dead to me now. How stupid. This is the point when you need to get the people in control OUT of the game, not think you're going to join forces with them. I loved Sandra telling Russell to back off. 'Russel, can you just give us a minute...'. I don't think the troll liked that.
  16. Usually, when there's this long of a break between 'bachelor - ette' runs, I start to forget what bugged me about whoever, or why I liked so and so... but I saw a preview with Alli, and I still don't like her. What's probably worse, is that she bores me completely. Even the commercial was more Ally than I ever needed to see again. This is one time where my claim to not watch a season, may actually come to fruition. Nothing about Ally makes me want to watch. Not even to check out the new bachelors. She is a pouty blond yawn, as far as I'm concerned.

Angelea is all tough girl, super confidant, got- this-in-the-bag, no problem. Until she stumble, then she's a weepy little baby. Absolutely the fakest one out there. I don't think they care how she treats the other girls. Tyra would probably make it the other girls' problem, and give a story of how she dealt with difficult, mean spirited girls, when she had to work with them. Naomi Campbell was mean to Tyra? Or is she just mean to everyone? I don't know -- I'm sure she wasn't supportive. I hate a skank attitude, but as long as she continues to fake everyone else out, I don't really think anyone cares if she's nice to her fellow models or not. Of course, we could also get the Tyra-lecture on being professional and getting along with others. How many more jumpsuits must we endure? At least she didn't get on the jumpsuit train, until after she lost a bunch of weight. Not that I ever think Tyra was fat, but when she was heavier, and dressing like she was still skinny, it was not a purty picture. Could you imagine some of those jumpsuits, with an extra 30 pounds on Tyra? Yikes! I agree that Krista is not a pretty girl, or even a pretty man. But they obviously think she's got something, because they love her pictures. I know modeling isn't about 'pretty', but why would someone so masculine looking be so desirable? I did like her picture though -- of the dress. I thought it looked cool, the way is was swirling around her. I think that was Krista's picture? We are being set up for some fierceness from Jessica, I believe. I predict a breakthrough for her, next show. Or else she will go home. She's going to try to do whatever it was Tyra told her to do, and they will either love it, or hate it. I'm surprised anyone wanted to book Alasia. She looked good in the swimming suits, but she walked like there was a cob up her butt or something. I found it weird.
  18. While it does bug me that they have people with such obvious advantages on the show, I don't hold it against the dancers. It is the producers doing. As far as Nicole goes, she does not really bug me that much, even though I really can't stand the whole concept of the Pussy Cat Dolls. I know it's not her fault she's on the show. I don't even bother to vote, so even though I wouldn't vote for her, because she is way too close to being a professional, IMO, it's not hurting her. It's just not what I enjoy seeing on the show. I don't really care about what's fair, or not fair. I don't care who wins the crappy mirror ball trophy, and I often find it hard to believe that these people, who have accomplished so much else in their lifetime, act like it would be one of their biggest accomplishments. It does annoy me, with the claims that they don't have an advantage, because ball room dancing is unique, in and of itself. It's not that I don't believe that, but I truly do believe people who have had any dancing, or have to perform in front of crowds, do have an advantage. Everyone does not start out at the same place here. I think the judges take that into consideration, but I feel like they are trying to sell us the fact that they are all amateurs. I'm just not buying it.
  19. I agree, and I get so sick of so many of them saying 'it's not the same as ballroom dancing'. I think they look for people who they know will do well, and who either do some type of dancing or performing, or they have some kind of dance in their backgrounds, like cheerleading. Gymnastics and figure skating are also a huge advantage, even the though movements are not the same. Because they learn body control -- they are used to learning routines, etc.... Maybe we would lose interest if everyone was actually a non- dancer. But I think there have been some who may have improved a lot, but they didn't get to stick around long enough. I guess Shannon Dougherty comes to mind. I think she was genuinely doing something new, and if given the opportunity, she may have had enough talent to become really really good. But these dancers who come out of the shoot, and you can't tell which one is the professional... well, I just think it's unfair. I mean, if I wanted to watch professional dancing, then I would. I don't know where the line should be drawn, but they aren't supposed to have any professional dancing in their background. Does Nicole get past that, because she's supposed to be a singer, and not a dancer? I'm no Pussycat Dolls fan, but isn't the singing kind of secondary, in their performances? I know it's a different kind of dancing, but to me, she is a professional dancer. She gets to be part of the pussycat dolls because of her looks, her dancing ability, and oh yeah -- she can sing a little bit. Nothing personal against her. Although I do not care for what she does, she doesn't bug me on the show at all. I'm more bugged that she was cast.
  20. Yeah, I can agree with that about JT. It may have been bold, but really it was pretty stupid to interact with the other side, in that way. Just like I don't think it's a good idea to vote the strongest off first, when you are playing in teams, I don't think it's a good idea to make deals with the 'enemy'. But I think JT might very well acknowledge what a bad idea his plan was. It's one thing to take a risk and make a bold move, and quite another to place any faith and trust with anyone on the other team. You do kind of deserve to have that used against you. At least it was JT that went home, since it was his idea to give Russell the idol. Kind of like when Tyson went home, when he decided to mess up a carefully laid plan. At least he paid the price.
  21. If Parvati had done what she did, and gotten voted out, it would have been deemed 'dumbest survivor move ever'. But because it worked -- she's brilliant. I have to be a little suspicious of it though, since they showed us no inkling that Amanda, or anyone, filled in Parvati as to what the heroes plan was. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but it would since they didn't even hint at it, it makes me a little suspicious of who filled Parvati in. I don't think she would have made that move, unless she had more information that what we saw she had. If JT's plan would have worked, he would have been dubbed brilliant, making the 'boldest, smartest survivor move ever'. I'm not going to be too hard on JT. He knew he was playing a game, and made a move. It didn't work out for him. I'm not a big Parvati fan, and don't really understand her appeal. But I realize that being sexy doesn't always mean being beautiful, and vice versa. I also realize that we all find different thing sexy, or beautiful. But even though I don't find Parvati appealing, really in any way, and even if she was just a pawn the producers used to create the 'most dramatic tribal council ever', I still am happy that Russell will be upset about this move, and can hardly wait to see his reaction on the next show. Even if I suspect that this may have been just a little bit of a set up, I don't really care. I watch the show to be entertained, and watching Russell face was priceless. And I am fully expecting more priceless moments to come. The little troll is going to blow his bald little stack!

i hate hate hate the new judge. Seriously. Throw him out on his pompous arse. Who was the dark haired, older lady at the runway challenge? I believe she was a guest judge once. Anyway --- she is weird. Very odd way of speaking. I think even if I was young, tall, reed thin, with great bone structure, I don't think I could stomach all of those quirky egos you would have to deal with in the modeling and fashion industry. I cannot stand self-importance, and the entire industry appears to be lousy with it.
  23. I really do believe that she has to still be there, because there are people who find it hilarious that she is so awful and awkward. Does this woman have any actual fans? The closest I have ever heard was someone who says they don't hate her, and maybe understand where she's coming from. But I can't think of any time I've heard anyone say 'Oh, I love Kate Gosselin...'. The most anyone has ever done is maybe try to diffuse a little of the hatred, but I wouldn't call that a fan. Just someone who has a little bit of sympathy for her, and is uncomfortable with people talking smack about a mother with 8 kids. Her dance was bad, but I would love to hear what Tony really thinks. It must be awful for him to try and coax some life out of this woman. With what we saw of their rehearsal, I'm kind of surprised the dance was as good as it was, even though it was horrible. Does that make sense?
  24. I'm kind of neutral on Courtney. But I have to admit I'm glad she's gone. I found it hard to look at her, when too much of her was exposed. Yikes. She is skeletal. I have seen anorexia / bulimia, and I'm not accusing her of that, because Courtney doesn't look as bad as what I've seen. Doesn't mean she does not have a problem, but her being so skinny doesn't mean she does either. But in any case, I glad I don't have to see her bony body any more.
  25. The 'poor me' attitude cannot and will not ever cut it for me. She is a single mom, but she has and ex husband to share custody with, and who pays some kind of child support. So she is better off that a lot of single moms. I get kind of sick of these reality shows going on and on about and single mom, or single dad, when it's not actually true. To me, a true 'single parent', does not share custody. They may or may not get child support, but even if a parent gets some child support, I would still consider them 'single', if they didn't get to share the actual responsibility of raising children with someone. Someone to talk over the big decisions-- to deal with problems and triumphs... While money is important, it's also important to have someone to share this stuff with. But back to Kate.... If they hadn't moved from their nice normal home, to their McMansion estate, I think people might have a bit more sympathy for her. I didn't think it was so bad that they moved to a bigger house, with the kids getting bigger and everything, but what they moved to is ridiculous and unnecessary. Large families can and do live in much smaller houses than the Gosselins moved from. I don't know whose idea it was to live like rich people, but that's what they did. And that is when they completely lost me. I can't feel sorry for Kate, and don't think it's ok that she makes excuses about being away from her children, because she has to support them. They do not have to live in that huge house and grounds. I don't buy that 'the kids are used to it, so she has to maintain it' either. I could take Kate better if she would just admit that she likes being on tv. I don't' expect her to admit she likes the paparazzi , but she also shouldn't complain about it so much. It's there because she allows herself to remain in the public eye. If she had done what I think most people would have done, after a public divorce like that, and done everything possible to live a quiet life out of the public eye, the paparazzi would have gone away a long time ago. It almost seems to me that is why she is doing this show. People had kind of quit talking about the Gosselins. But now she is back in the limelight. A nasty custody battle. Jon and Kate get ugly in public, part 2. She also has a book coming out, so she needed to stir up interest, yet again. They are both horrible , stupid, ridiculous people, and I believe the only reason she is still on the show is because there are a large group of people who love to see her make a fool out of herself. I just do not think there are many Kate Gosselin fans out there.
