  1. Right, how dare a person speak against racism. Other things going on
  2. I wonder if Brittney has won hoh and Monte won veto WHO he would have kept between turned and Taylor
  3. What exactly did they put him through? Being held accountable for his actions and his dangerous thinking? A white man trying to get other white peoples to go against poc is a problem. If you don’t see that then you need to look inward. I’ve never seen men be brought to tears because someone tried to form an all girls alliance. You simply cannot, CANNOT compare the two. My womaness puts me at risk for many things- but not nearly as much as my blackness does. My blackness could get me killed at a traffic stop.
  4. He also blamed the poc in the leftovers for every single thing that happened. He uses words Like “loud”, “aggressive “ etc to describe poc. That’s harmful and problematic. What would be labeled as “passion” for a white person is often considered anger or aggression when you are a poc. i don’t think white people get a say as to if something a white person says out does is racist out not because many things you can’t see because… they just can’t. It’s important to listen to poc and try to UNDERSTAND when we label things as problematic. as a straight woman I would never present myself as an expert on homophobia. If someone told me I said or did something problematic I would not be defensive- but would do some learning and self reflection.
  5. I didn’t see him name poc and say they were working together and then named the white players saying they needed to work together.
  6. I agree with this. I also think it is important for white people to acknowledge that they often miss out on racism and bias because they (through no fault of their own) simply can’t recognize them all the way poc can. It is very important to realize that while defended people are saying their actions are not problematic. I know plenty of white peoples who do their best to educate themselves and be anti racist- but they still can’t catch on to every single thing. That’s ok, as long as their is some acknowledgement there. Why would he suspect an all black Elaine when poc were targeting and evicting poc? That he was in an alliance with poc isn’t an exemption for being able to be racist/bias/ problematic. That’s like saying “I’m not racist, I have a black friend!” He named all the poc saying they were working together and then named all the white peoples and said they need to work together against them. He should have known that would be a problem for him inside and outside the house.
