Elissa - DE/Week 7

ITA with the prior post and all the included........the only thing that I can figure out is that a lot of people can't see past the fact that she's related to Rachel. If it wasn't for her quirky humor and the hope that she might get a chance to turn this so far BORING game into a contest, I probably would have stopped watching. Her "humor" is sometimes in the form of ribbing but it seems pretty normal as far as giving "digs" that any of my friends may occasional say......no one is "perfect" but she certainly has never reached the level of the "mean girls/dirty boys" in this cast.

Me too. ITA.

I have continuously like elissa okay. I think that she can be a bit cloying, at times, but hey....none of us are immune. I understand that some viewers hated not so much elissa nor that she is rachel's sister (I am not a rachel fan) but that she is the sole houseguest with familial ties. I get that. I think that BB made a bad move on that one.

I do think that elissa is a very pretty woman. We are poles apart in personal taste with the exceptions that we both married older men and both enjoy yoga. I identify with her, somewhat, and would not mind seeing her win second place with helen taking first. They have to win competitions. That would be the fatal flaw in the mcmanda/andy plan.

When we first were introduced to her this season I thought, OMG, I hope this person goes home soon. I didn't watch prior to last season so I have no idea what her sister was like, but I wouldn't have judged her based on Rachel anyway.

What I like about her is that I see a kindness in her that I don't see in most of the others. She also seems to have grace, which I greatly admire, in the way she moves and the way she acts. Yes, there was the incident with her remarks to Amanda, but I wonder if it was because she just so disapproved of the whole concept of what Amanda's birthday gift to McCrae was, or maybe it was in reference to things that came out of Amanda's mouth prior to the that incident. I see Elissa as a positive person who likes to keep negative vibes away from herself.

If I were to pick a favorite at this point it would be Elissa. JMO.

If Elissa does make it to the end, her association with Helen will be a problem, so I like that she is already trying to

separate herself from the mom-boss.

Her whispering to Judd on his way out, to me, shows that Elissa is better at playing this game than she normally shows

or what she is given credit for. I would like to have seen her have more of a backbone in other situations -- but, really, for

this lame group that would have been the equivalent of committing suicide (I blame this mainly on Helen's presence in

the house and I think Elissa has that figured out).

I do remember Elissa saying "Judd, I had nothing to do with this", after Judd told her he did not want her hug.

I didn't hear it, Annamrie. Someone told me that so your words are probably more correct. First, I thought whoa when aaryn even said something and whoa again when amanda shut it down fast. They are all on edge. I think that elissa did say it because I think that elissa really liked judd and knew that it hurt him for her to vote against him. It did. That's the dark side of BB and "going with the house."

Yes it is, although I found her tiresome during the last few votes where she would say, I don't want to do this at all, but I vote for ____. OK that works now and then for me, but vote after vote, all I can think is actually do something then or stop whining.

I couldn't agree more that Elissa should seeperate herself from the mom-boss but timing is everything and she needs to work on her own alliance. I think depending on who gets evicted next and who gets HOH will determine if Elissa should dip on Helen now or wait until later when a move presents itself.

You can re-watch the end of the show and hear what Elissa said to Judd. She didn't whisper at all. She was quite loud. If I remember correctly, she said, "This had nothing to do with me."

Yeah, that's what she said (I just checked it out at Quirkydude's site) "Judd, this had nothing to do with me" at the 39:14 mark.

Absolutely, gerberadaisy. I agree 100%. She is as much a sheep as the rest of them.

I believe you. Thanks for clarifying. I was kind of taken aback when aaryn brought it up in the WA and claimed amanda said it. Amanda vehemently denied it and aaryn sort of apologized. Elissa said nothing.

Actually, aaryn said something along the lines of perhaps I misheard or mispoke. It was an interesting exchange. Aaryn just says stuff in that quiet way of hers.

ITA with the sheep thing.......but on the other hand, there have been other season's where the "lead dogs" or "worker bees" or whatever else you want to call them ran all over the house for weeks, winning and seeming to be in control and then some laid back sheep ended up F2.

I've been told that elissa whispered to judd as he was leaving the house, "I knew nothing about this." Aaryn later accused amanda of saying it and amanda vehemently denied it, elissa stood there saying nothing.

She didn't whisper...She damn near yelled it out...

LOL, that's kind of true I think.........when Judd told her he didn't want her hug, she said something like she wasn't "responsible" for it......... loud & clear.

Aaryn hears words and then repeats them in whatever way she thinks will benefit herself.

I have this big feeling that perhaps Elissa isn't such a fool as you may think. I think she might be purposely losing HOH and POV Competitions to keep the target off her and remain on others. Notice how she's usually always been one of the first out of most HOH competitions and the only reason she almost won the casino one was down to lucky. Also notice that the only time she has tried/won a POV was when she was on the block only. My theory, what do you think?

It was an interesting convo and interesting because of aaryn and especially so because of what I have learned since and what you say about aaryn because it is so true in this. I regret not noting the time, etc... sorry.
