The whole country has a skewed view of NY. Look at that ad about salsa as though NY could not make good salsa...they make the best pizza LOL However, I do recognize in her brash attitude that GM is a product of Brooklyn, or somewhere in NY and I do not fault her for it so I do not know where the reaction to my comment is being taken as a negative.

Not being taken negative by me, sorry if I gave you that impression. I think she is from Staten Island. I think that she is a perfect representation of that area, I swear that the majority of people there all behave the same as her. I will probably get flack for saying it but it is the truth.

There's a time and place to make comments like GM has made and BB is NOT one of them. I'm from the deep south and I hear (and make) comments like that on occasion. It depends on the company your with. My roomate is black and I'm white and we poke fun at our races all the time, yet we don't consider each other as racist. We understand it as humor and realize one thing. If you can't laugh at yourself then you should not laugh at others.

One of out favorite shows is "Worlds Dumbest" on TrueTV. My roomate (Ron) always ribs me about 90% of the people on there doing dumb stunts are white people. Sadly enough, he's right. We both make racal comments about the show and laugh about it.

Being on national TV and making comments like that is not the smartest thing to do. Unfortunately some of the HG's do not realize that, at least not right now. It's way too easy for their remarks to be taken the wrong way by thin skinned people who wear their pride on their sleeves.

CBS drove a nail in their coffins by addressing it on their show last night. God help these people when they get out.

She's from Staten Island which is between Brooklyn and New Jersey and their hang out is the Jersey Shore trust me she fits right in .However her comments only fit into a small area of New Yorkers as a whole. I was born and raised here , I have lived in affluent neighbourhood 's as well as the "hood" and the" melting pot " is real. Being a bigoted racist here just doesn't fly .. and talking that mess to someone's face will get your ass kicked lol

I live 5 minutes from the Staten Island bridge, aka the Verrazano Narrows, and IMO GM personifies the majority of Staen Island women to a "T". Just watch "Jersey Shore", GM would fit right in.

It's the Verrazano Bridge and always has been.

Do you live in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights?

You're stereotyping Staten Island women.

Brash attitude of Brooklyn? This thread is really starting to amuse me.

I agree. But not as much as the HG's are. :smilielol:

My point is that the Staten Island women experts in this thread aren't concerned with making stereotypical comments because they're directed toward white women and nobody cares.

I wonder if they would be so quick to stereotype the women in Bed-Stuy, Park Slope, Coney Island and the 8th Avenue area? No, they wouldn't because then they would be considered racists, anti-semitics, anti-asians and overall politically incorrect.

Fortunately for me none of this stereotyping bothers me one bit. I'm not offended by anything anybody says about anything or anyone, including myself. I find this whole racial thing quite amusing and fun to watch mainly because I'm the most politically incorrect S.O.B on Morty's.

Kinda fun to sit back and watch the shit hit the fan. Got my rain gear on !!! :hide:

What you say makes sense in the context what people do privately among mixed good friends who understand and respect each other, and know where the personal boundaries are. What these HGs are doing is behind the back of others with very cruel\mean intentions. What you described with your roommates was not like that at all, so there is a huge difference. CBS was valid in showing that what was happening wasn't just friends razing each other as friends do, and friends know how to pull their punches so not to go too far. Or if they do go too far, they backup, and apologize for it. I'm betting your roomates would object if a stranger used the word nigger to describe all blacks in a racist way, rather than in a friendly way that it can be used even in a mixed setting among friends.

Honestly, I don't care much either but for those who take a fierce stand on it and then turn around and make comments about others, in my opinion it's hypocritical.

Sunset Park, in between Park Slope and Bay Ridge - Yeah, I know I am, (stereotyping SI women) but it really is true - they are all the same in SI, attitude, speech patterns, etc. It is a borough full of "J-Wow's" and "Snookie's"

She comes at the stereotypes from a NY pov not really racist, more just humor based on a wicked recognition of a truth that stereotypes come from, I think she is emboldened by Aryan's real racism to express the forbidden. Watch her face when she makes one of those remarks; it is as though she is surprised that she can say what she says.

I don't buy that for a second;she is every bit as racist and vile as Aaryn and Spencer. It's just that the package hers comes in(petite and blond) makes it easier for some to condone.

GM thought it would be interesting tonight to show off the piercings (yes 2 of them) that she has in her.........lower extremities. I saw Amanda with her head over the shower door and GM giving her a good look at them.

Candice saw them also at some point and commented that one of them was pretty and colored sapphire.

Just in case you were wondering.

Maybe she can become a porn star then for her new job and wonder if Nick who says poop would like her jewels or Howard's better. :D
