Kynt & Vyxsin

Recommended Posts

Sad... I hope to see them in an all-star. They did great in catching up, but Kynt's mistake with the receipts and u-turning the wrong team was what did them in.

lol, king you need to cut back on the drinks.

I'm not overly sad Kynt and Vyxsin left, but they are boring compared to Nate and Jen. I'm still putting Nate and Jen on the bottom of my list. I like how Kynt and Vyxsin keep a positive attitude on everything, but I just wish they were more interesting to watch.

i'm a bit confused why they didn't use it on nate and jen. i missed about 20 minutes of the show and came back to it when they were deciding who to u-turn. what made them think the old guy and stick boy were behind them?

I thought Nate & Jen got to the U-turn first and chose Nick & Donald over Kynt & Vyxin?

(Source: http://blog.al.com/go/2008/01/goths_have_f...azing_race.html )

Kynt Cothran and Vyxsin Fiala from CBS' "Amazing Race" tried to slip into town over the Christmas holidays to visit Vyxsin's parents, but two nationally recognized characters in pasty white Goth makeup don't blend in.

The dating couple made it through eight legs of the race and down to the final five teams before they were eliminated on Dec. 30. They were stopped often for autographs and photographs as they shopped at Madison Square Mall.

"We were racing to finish some last-minute Christmas shopping for grandparents, sisters and others who all converged on Vyxsin's parent's house," Cothran said Thursday by phone from Los Angeles.

"We were still in the game at that point and a lot of people came up to us and mentioned they'd seen the first article and had no idea Vyxsin's parents (Kay and Frank Fiala) lived here.

"We had a 75-year-old lady who proclaimed herself our oldest fan."

The duo from Louisville, Ky., competed with 10 other teams on the adventure that covers 50,000 miles across several continents in 28 days. Even though they didn't get the $1 million first prize, they remained upbeat afterward.

They said their favorite moments were at the "magical village" in Lithuania and in Burkina Faso, Africa, where they danced for the locals.

"The race is such a beautiful concept," said Cothran. "On one hand, it is a typical reality show, highlighting interpersonal conflicts and conquests. On the other hand, it is a lot like National Geographic. Every episode showcases a different country - it's landscape, scenery, architecture, culture and people right there in your own living room."

Fiala said the race was the opportunity of a lifetime.

"It is like a real-life action-adventure movie," she said. "The race that you see on television is very authentic; the experience is actually much harder than it looks.

"We went into the race with the mentality that win, lose, or draw, we would savor this experience, learn from it, enjoy the adventure and hopefully make it enjoyable for viewers as well."

The Goth duo have returned to waiting tables in Louisville, where, according to Cothran, guests ask "for a Diet Coke refill and an autograph." They're hoping for more opportunities in L.A., including reality shows like "Big Brother," Cothran said.

"The year 2008 is a big question mark for us at this point, and that feels just thrilling," he said. "If this 'Amazing Race' experience leads us somewhere where we can leave our server aprons behind, hey, we are ready."

"We are ready to jump on a plane at a moment's notice," said Fiala, "no matter where it takes us."

I like Kynt and Vyxen, but please no BB. Let other people have some airtime. Besides, I think BB will show us a side of Pink that isn't as pleasant.
