fizzle Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 sure thing... when Jen won HOH and they all piled into the HOH room to see what she got, they went around to all the pictures and she was pointing out who was who. since it was such a long time ago, i dont want to misquote her or anything, but there was a picture of her 1/2 brothers and when she went to name them she stumbled and then said something like "i dont even know" or "i forget his name" ... again.. i dont recall word for word. that was the same night she took the picture of her and her mother off the wall. If things are said about someone you know really well, and those things are just a bunch of crap well who cares, it is just people spinning tales, so she should in no way care or worry what anyone thinks, that is a serious waste of times for anyone, not just Jen. If I lived my life worried about what people thought, I long ago would have driven myself crazy, thank God, I never cared and lived my life as I chose.!!!! Being on BB is not like you or I living a normal life, all of this is magnified and people love to gossip and I'm sure were very happy to say things to her family. She said she has younger brothers, she herself is only 23, you don't think the things said about her would effect them and her mother? I don't care how confident or self-assured you are, you would be concerned how your family was handling this. The things that were said about her was vile, vulgar and crude. The fact that she handled herself as well as she did with all the abuse she suffered, gets my admiration, for I certainly wouldn't have stood for it. Fatcat Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 I think that if she thought that appearing on BB8 in any way was going to comprmise her standards and the standards of her family she should not have signed up for the show, if you had any inkling about how well your family was going to handle something then she absolutely should have kept her happy butt off that show, her worrying about what her mother would think, she was more worried about a bad photograph, not what was said to her or about her, and if ya can't stand the heat get the hell out of the kitchen, and no one can say that she didn't sign up for all that, she sure did, she did not know what was in store for her or any one else for that matter and she took her chances, This is BB after all not some suday school picnic. hey if you think she suffered abuse or mistreatment the buck starts with Jen, she signed up for that show, so she can own her part in what she set herself up for, she should be more humiliated for how she herself portrayed her ownself , not for the actions of any one else. ranjake Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 i wish i never looked at the photos...but i wonder if they were done a while ago and only put out by the photog now, to capitalize on her bb "fame". i don't think they were "modeling"...i think they were test shots...i mean, what could she have possibly been selling...boobs? i just wonder if she didn't realize they would be out there...and when they're from. i think she can get much classier jobs...but i hope those photos don't hurt her chances. Jen's brothers probably wouldn't be ridiculed for the pics, though -- their friends will probably be thrilled that they are related to her, if they are allowed to see the pictures. Not that it's a good thing -- it's just the way teen boys react to pictures like that. I really doubt that Jen went into the house thinking that she would be the target of an abusive personality, or that it would be taken as far as it was against her by Dick. No one had ever been as abusive as Dick in previous seasons, and she probably thought the show would be a great chance to look good in a bathing suit and get publicity. Most of the contestants are there because they want careers in t.v., so that's not an odd thing. I would prefer that non-t.v./model types were on the show, but CBS doesn't seem to cast normal, everyday people. She probably couldn't imagine that she would be targeted and attacked as a human being, instead of maybe being called out on game play, which is the worst that had happened in the past on the show. I know that in the Kid Nation forum, Morty stressed that "it's important that this forum be family friendly". (But he was referring to the specific Kid Nation forum itself, though, not the whole message board.) Big Brother is definitely not a kid-friendly show to the online follower. Watching Dick (and others!) swear up a storm that would shame a sailor, and being able to catch glimpses of the houseguests nude (For the SEE AMBER NUDE link, visit the main Big Brother page. Also look for the David & Amanda video from season 4) is not something I would let a young kid under my care be exposed to. For that reason, I hope parents are keeping an eye on what their kids are looking at on the internet. And I hope that anyone under the age of majority who visits here knows that they do so at their own discretion. In the forum rules, which are posted all over the place, it is written that "Posts may not contain links or pictures of a pornographic or blatantly racist nature". Well, the photos of Jen, posted earlier in this thread, while definitely "racy", do not qualify as pornographic. I believe we saw more of Jessica, Jameka, Amber and Daniele (not to mention Dick, Eric and Zach!) during a certain competition, shown on CBS (one of the most prudish networks right now, as a result of being extra careful since the Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake incident a few years back during a Super Bowl half-time show.) So while the pictures may be inappropriate for Jen's brother to be looking at, posting them here in the Big Brother forum is appropriate, as it relates to Big Brother. Remember before the show started he said he was going to manipulate the pretty young ladies Nothing Jen did warrented threats of rape and murder Plus what message does that send to girls? Fatcat Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 well I have to say again the buck starts with Jen herself, don't go on BB if you do not want negitive bs following you around, and no she had no way to know who she would have to contend with, but oh well, all the stuff that ED said was just words people, just words, nothing to feel threatend about, word, sticks and stones, if I got upset about all the really sh*ty things that have been said to me over the years, I would curl up in a ball and die, sometimes people think of the worst possible thing they can say to someone to push a button, and she really barely reacted, but boy some of the GP general public, did, and a lot feel just as I do about it, I am not even sure that ED said the thing about up the butt to her, I thought it was during the tirade with the hell week, with banging of the pans and he said it about Dustin, it has been so hashed and re-hashed, I think it in my opinion is over and done, those pics of Jen that were posted her did not offend me but I did think the booty shot with your cash and prizes practically being on display was raunchy, not a standars for a girl who wants a serious career. Jen couldn't have it both ways, if you embarrass someone on national tv they will return the favor if possible.
