Big Brother is set to reach a decade on air after C4 and Endemol signed a deal to extend their current contract by three years.

The current deal ends after BB8 next year, with a new deal covering BB9, BB10 and BB11 - plus spin off celebrity series of the show as well.

Along with the nightly highlights programmes and weekly evictions, the deal also covers spin-off fanzine show Big Brother's Little Brother, call-in show Big Mouth and 24/7 live streaming from the house.

Programmes will also be made available via 4oD, C4's new On-Demand service available via cable and digital terrestrial platforms as well as online.

Further negotiations are continuing in relation to how much content will be made available on C4's new social networking site e4.com, which launches next year and will allow potential housemates to upload audition videos to be judged by other users.

There were reports at the weekend that Big Brother UK would relocate by the summer and move to a "flash new pad" on a "huge new site" in West London.

Only one report - and it's been neither confirmed or denied - but at least there is a bit of hope there that Big Brother will move from it's current Elstree home sooner rather than later as it's generally felt they've outgrown their current compound - and if they stayed their for BB8 they'd be pretty restricted in what they can do due to the space.

Although Elstree offered the show a bigger house and more studio space, it's never matched up to the set up at the original house in Bow where the house was located across the river from the studio, with Davina crossing the bridge each week to collect the latest evictee.
