  1. In the beginning... there was only Liz. Then there was Liz and Julia. Now, there is only Liz.
  2. The last words from tonight's episode (where Julia was evicted) belong to Austin. After Julie Chen says "Goodnight houseguests!", you can hear him quickly say "Put me on 'The Bold and The Beautiful', please!"
  3. Julie Chen's schedule change announcement, from the end of tonight's show:
  4. I don't think I understand. If the "idiots" keep Liz instead of Julia, then that means Julia gets evicted, so how could she be final 2 with Austin?
  5. Unfortunately, no, there is no topic for Longmire as of yet at Morty's. However, feel free to create a topic for it over in our "TV Talk" forum: http://www.tvfanforums.net/index.php?/forum/5-tv-talk/
  6. Something I remember reading or seeing, was a conversation between John and Vanessa about this. They mentioned that there is a danger of dragging Julia along to the end (Final Three), because then the other two might want to take her to Final Two for the "sure thing" win, instead of taking each other. I guess that really is something to consider, at this point.
  7. I think there was supposed to be a new twist every week, via the "takeover". But after the third twist, in Week 3, it just disappeared. No announcement to the houseguests (they were STILL wondering about that even last night), and no announcmement to the viewers either. It's too bad, because that really could have kept the game more interesting.
  8. Yes, Julia was put up as a replacement nominee by Steve in the PoV ceremony, which took place yesterday.
  9. When Battle of the Block first made its appearance last year, I remember posting my thoughts, and an analysis. I came to the quick conclusion that its impact on the game would be forcing the two HoHs to nominate weak floater-type players instead of big targets, because it would be to their benefit to LOSE the BotB so that they could avoid being dethroned, and remain safe as HoH. And in my opinion, this would be a bad thing. However, if it worked as planned, it would mean that the "dead weight" players of the season would be out early, and only the "real players" would be left, making for a more exciting end to the season (which I think was why production introduced it, mainly). BUT, it didn't actually work out that way. In BB16 last season, the BotB was in play for 8 (LOOOOOONG) weeks. The replacement nominee went home 5 out of those 8 times. (Weeks, 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8.) And the only time the veto WASN'T used was week 6. (It was used in weeks 2 and 4, but the replacement nominee stayed.) This season, for example, out of the 5 houseguests evicted while BotB was in play for the first 5 weeks, only Da'Vonne was NOT a replacement nominee. And in her week, that is because John, who was on the block next to her originally, won the Veto and took himself off, leaving her up there as the sole target. The other 4 who went home (Jace, Jeff, Audrey and Jason) all went up as replacements after the Veto was used. SO, it would seem that the big "dangerous" targets are still being taken out early. But I think production might like the BotB enough to keep it around some more, since it involves more houseguests (2 HoHs and 4 nominees), and makes for more drama, as well as giving them something interesting (and game-related) to broadcast on the Sunday show, instead of the Food competitions they used to show. I certainly hope the BotB is not here to stay, as somehow both seasons which featured it seem to somehow be of lower calibre, based on popular opinion. Is that just because of the specific casting, or due to BotB, it's hard to be definitive.
  10. Well, on last night's AfterDark, he and Vanessa discussed possibilities. So they both know that whoever wins the Final Five HoH will then not be able to play in the Final Four HoH, which is a big deal, because in Final Four only the HoH is safe from eviction, and who gets eliminated depends on a single vote, which is determined by who wins PoV. So, effectively, winning the next HoH (Final Five) means you're in the Final Four, but with a 1 in 4 chance of winning PoV and making it to Final Three instead of a chance to play in both HoH and Pov. But hopefully he realized that at this point, it's better to win than to throw.
  11. Voting usually starts after the Final Four eviction, if I remember correctly. So, the Thursday before the finale, which this year would be September 17. I guess we will see.
  12. Could be. On the AfterDark episode following the HoH competition, John made it clear to Steve that it's probably better this way, since this HoH was a puzzle comp, while the next one has a good chance of having more of a physical element to it, in which case he has the edge over Steve. (Of course, it could always just be one of those "A or B" / "Before or After" challenges, too.) In any case, that was the reasoning behind his decision, which he shared with Stever.
  13. Indeed. On the show, they showed him saying he was throwing the comptetion to Steve, in a subsequent Diary Room session. Verbatim: "So it's down to me and Steve. Best case scenario, we're going to send a big target home this week. Now it's really down to 'Who should win this HoH? What's better for our long-term game?'. I need to be playing HoH next week; Steve, you need to take down this win. Congratulations, buddy! I'll play next week."
  14. Before voting, I think CBS should make a video of this sort for each player, to remind the voters of each houseguest's highlights. Would be nice.
  15. It's hard to say exactly, but here's a look at how the last couple of seasons ended. In BB16 last year, the Final Six were Christine, Frankie, Caleb, Victoria, Cody and Derrick. Christine was evicted on Day 77. (Christine actually left as the second evictee of a double eviction night, following Nicole out the door.) Frankie won HoH but since the houseguests all agreed to "push the button", the week was rewound on Day 84, and did not count. Frankie ended up being evicted on Day 88. (With no live audience.) Feeds went dark for a couple of days. This left us with a Final Four of Caleb, Victoria, Cody and Derrick. On Day 90, Caleb was evicted. The Finale was on Day 97, so Caleb was indeed sent to the Jury house. Victoria was evicted on Finale night, Day 97, so did NOT go to Jury house. In BB15 the year before, the Final Six were Elissa, Judd, McCrae, Spencer, GinaMarie and Andy. Elissa was evicted on Day 77. (Elissa followed Amanda out as the second evictee of a double eviction night.) Judd was evicted on Day 82. (With no live audience.) McCrae was evicted just 2 days later, on Day 84. Spencer, the season's final evictee, left on Finale night, Day 90. (No Jury house for him.) So although this season will not follow the exact pattern, since it does get changed from year to year, it looks like it's the Final Five evictee who gets evicted with no live audience, and only a couple of days after the Final Six evictee. If that's anything to go on, the rest of this season COULD look like this: Right now, (Day 81) we are at Final Six. Steve, Vanessa, John, Austin, Julia and Liz. On Day 85 (this Thursday, Sep. 10), we well go from Final Six to Final Five. On Day 90 (Tuesday, Sep. 15), we will go from Final Five to Final Four. No live audience. Live feeds will be blocked until after Wednesday's show airs on East Coast. On Day 92 (Thursday, Sep. 17), we will go from Final Four to Final Three.) Finale takes place on Day 98. (Takes us from Final Three to Final Two.) Day 98, and Finale, is on WEDNESDAY, September 23. Is this what will happen? It's by no means certain, just a guess. They COULD just do another double eviction on Day 92 instead of having a special eviction on Day 90, but it's more probably that they won't, since they pretty much do a special eviction at around that point every season. 16. Actually, this afternoon, from what Morty reported, Steve was talking to himself and mentioned that if Julia wins the PoV, he will have to put Vanessa on the block. And with only Jmac, Julia and whoever Julia saves with the veto (probably Liz) voting, seems pretty certain that they would vote to send Vanessa home.
  17. Liz won her THIRD HoH competition during the double eviction episode (even though she claims she was trying to throw it to Julia). She's putting together quite the resumé, should she make it to final 2 and have to campaign for the win.
  18. Vanessa may be in a good spot. We'll have to wait and see if Steve nominates 2 from the "Austwins" alliance first.
  19. Well, she finally won a competition, the veto during the double eviction. Liz apparently was trying to throw the double eviction HoH to Julia when only the two of them remained in the running, but it backfired.
  20. Spot on analysis! So yes, by extension, then, Steve should nominate the two Austwins who have the best chance of winning veto (Austin and Liz), so that if they win and take themselves off, he can nominate the third, Julia, in their place. But then if Julia wins the veto without being on the block, the same situation you described above will come to pass, and the two Austwins who are not on the block will vote out the replacement nominee by a vote of 2 to 1.
  21. Yes, tomorrow night is a double eviction. It was the "Hide an object within the house, then everyone try to find one another's objects. Last unfound item wins Veto" veto.
  22. (I'm pretty sure the original poster meant "America's Favorite Player" instead of "America's Player", and have just edited to reflect this.)
  23. First, try using the "MultiQuote" button, in case that works for you. Next, try checking if your browser (whichever you use) is the latest version available, as well as update all your plug-ins, Adobe Flash, Java, etc.
  24. LOL, they like to wait until late Wednesday to flip, so that the back-stabbing doesn't get back to the backstabbee, and so there's less time for something to happen to make the vote flip back. (Well, at least it's a theory!)
