  1. Well Mortys is deadly slow tonight. I've decided to investigate other online options for BB6. I Love mortys but it took me 3+ hours to be able post this basic message, trying once every 5-10 minutes so not to hammer the server. I hope something can be done fix the problems; I'll check back once or twice a day to see if things have improved, but there is no point in trying to access a site that is basically unusable at this point in time. Sorry to see this happen to such a good sight Take care..
  2. Everything is much better now that some features have been turned off, such as Avitars. Thx
  3. My prediction would be that only way a evicted HG would return to the game is in a swap. Say half way through, the remaining HGs are given the option to swap with their evicted partner. Ie Maggie could swap with Eric. However, I think it extremely likely that some HGs will return temporarly to assist in a HOH competion. But after the competions they are gone again
  4. I'm totally lost on the topic of Meatgate. What happened? Or point me to a thread thathas more info... thx
  5. This year is different previous BBs, people (ie Kaysar) is being very open with everyone about explaining his plans to anyone who wants to listen. Not sure I think its a great idea explaining the finer details to April. It has been my observation that she loves to gossip and will let Eric know exactly what was said. Her enhanced gossip version is bound to be something like this: she defends Eric and stand up to the Evil group, tells them they all are backstabber liars and she won't have any part of it, they back down in complete shock of her defense of the wise Eric.
  6. Yes, when casting the show they are looking for people who are into "Drama" in one form or another. Also take note that these people are not classicgreat manipulators that have refined skills of controling people. My best guess is that BB producers try to cast individuals with a narrow social developmentbehavior that mirrors kids in middle school. By casting design, the HGs don't have overly malicious personalities, but clearly have personalities that natrually create conflictdrama, which they all love. It is like spending three months at summer camp. Deep down they all know that nothing bad is going to happen to them, and they have a 1 in 16 chance to take home the big prize. Its just one big social game of musical chairs. Beside they get their 15 minutes of fame which feeds the ego.
  7. I think there are the legal reasons as other have already stated, but I also think BB has its own game play reasons as well, so they strictly enforce the no singing rule. I think a small amount of fudging would be overlooked by entertainmentmusic industry because the HGs are not trying to profit from humming their favorite tune, so I suspect BB has its own motives.
  8. I've been watching BB since BB3 and the way the shows are edited together has been consistent. BB does focus on the most exciting moments, and sometime the finer details do not make it on to the show. People in this forum who watch the same feeds at the same time disagree on what happen depending who they favor, so it does not surprise me that feed watchers are not always happy with how their favorite HGs are portrayed on the show. Undoubtedly friends and family of the individual HGs find the show does not correctly reflect the person they have known for untold years.
  9. "Truth" or "real" are a relative terms. BB is produced to be entertainment, not a documentary. I watch both the show and the live feeds and so far I have not seen any editing changes that would out of line with what I saw on the feeds. BB producers are trying to make an compelling TV show, so what gets included is going to be those moments that make the show get good ratings for those who do not have the feeds. It is a given that those willing to pay to watch the feeds are going to watch the show no matter how goodbad it might be, but to keep the average TV watcher coming back, the show needs to be exciting to watch. Sometimes a HG's individual traitsflaws will be maginified, but I do beleive the HGs are warned in advance that how they seen on TV may not properly reflect who they truly are as a person.
  10. BigBro_Freak, I am curious, what is the reason you haven't subscribed to the live feeds?
  11. BB would only do double eviction by first warning the HGs in advance. It would be completely unfair manipulation of the game for Julie to tell them after they are on the block and unable to do anything about it.
  12. It is my observation by watching the feeds that Eric is not lying, but simply leveraging what has been said by other HGs to get Mike evicted. On the feeds Eric has stated that he does not believe all the so-called harassment actually occurred. Personally I think it pretty low to play up sexual harassment to get someone evicted. But if it were against the BB rules, BB producers behind the wall would have put an end to the harassment tactic right when it started. My overall point in starting this thread is not so much what has been said or lied about in regards to Mike, but simply to question far can the HGs go when creating lies about each other. I'm pretty confident there are significant restrictions on lying otherwise all the HGs would be creating all sort of lies about each other. If it is a just a game, and unlimited lies were allowed why not create lies that a HG beats his wife and kids, or cheats on his girl friend, or has raped women in the past, or already has $10 million in the bank, etc, etc, etc,
  13. If unresticted lying were allowed, a devioussmart HG wouldn't create lies that could be proven to be false by other HGs while in the BB house, nor create lies that were highly likely to be false (ie HG#4 is a serial killer). When creating a lie about another HG's criminal past, the lie can easly be explained "He's never caught, that's why he has no criminal record". Just based on that single explaination, the door is wide open for pretty much anything a HG might want create lies about other HGs. A really good liar mixes the truth with lies because that gives some creditability to the lie. It makes the lie sound valid because it includes information that people know is true.
  14. My speculation is that HGs can not create lies about another HG's life outside of the BB house, and are limited to what they can lie about within the BB house. A very creativedevious HG could think up some extremely damaging stuff that would impossible to refute without access to the outside world. Say for example the lie is created 5-10 minutes before eviction, there is no time for the other HG to respond assuming heshe even becomes aware of the lie. A person could get evicted based on one or more lies and not even know the lies existed, leaves the BB game, and Julie says "We know its a big lie, but did you know the HGs all think enjoy torturing animals? The HOH lied about your life outside the house to ensure you were evicted tonight" Yes, I would love to see the rule book that the HGs must live by. I think we would all be surprised at the restrictions the HGs are under.
  15. With all the controversy surrounding Mike being accused of harassing the female HGs, how far can another HG lie, or exaggerate the truth? For example could one of the HG simply make up a lie about another HG claiming he is a convicted child molester, or lie and say that that another HG confessed to raping a bunch of women prior to entering the BB house? Or how about a lie about beating his wifegirlfriendkids? Or how about a lie stating another HG in an heir to over 10 million dollars. What there boundaries to what they can lie about? Without access to the outside world, it become extreme difficult to disprove any lie someone might chose to create.
