  1. Sure, but I'm not publicly trying to humiliate Aaryn for her comments. I see them as little more than trash-talk taken out of context. I agree that most people say stupid things, especially over a 3-month period if they have nothing to do but sit around and talk. So why single out Aaryn on this? I highly doubt Julie Chen and CBS are going to go after anyone else for it. CBS wants to tell a story with BB. Aaryn is the bad guy. Elissa is the good guy, They'll edit things to make it play out the way they want. I think CBS would have been happy if Aaryn admited to being a racist, apologized profusely, and swore to change her ways. But it didn't play out that way, so script #2 is to make her the villian and bash her on public TV, thus making CBC look like the good guys. In reality, CBS loved the racist stuff. It got them ratings, with is all they ever cared about. They humiliated Aaryn for ratings.
  2. I can't stand Elissa. She's a dumb version of Rachel (which is saying something!), with all of her faults (and more) and none of her redeeming qualities. Can't stand her elitist attitude, that dumb plastic smile, and her constantly checking herself out in mirrors. Unfortuantely, she's one of those contestants that turns me off watching. What's left in the house now are mostly losers, none of which actually deserve to win the game. Here's hoping the $500k goes to a good charity, and not one of the guests. The only person I'd like to see get the money is McCrae.
  3. Hypocrisy, that's all. Did Aaryn deserve to be publicly slagged? Perhaps, but not by Julie Chen. If they wanted let someone publicly humiliate her, it should have been in the finale by one of the houseguests she slurred.
  4. I'm betting that given Julie Chen's social group, she's pretty elitist and self-entitled. I'm sure if she was recorded for 3 months, there'd be some pretty controversial stuff come out of her mouth.
  5. Of course she won't, because Julie is afraid Amanda will actually stand up for herself. Aaryn was a weak and easy target to attack; without her group of friends, she loses all confidence and collapses.
  6. Didn't Evil Dick tell one of the women he was gonig to rape her with a knife? Something like that. Anyway, CBS loved the guy, so never aired anything about it, and let him terrorize the women in the house with no consequences. But he was one of their heros, so gets a pass. I find it disgusting how much CBS manipulates the game, and edits the feeds to make certain players into heros or villans. I know it's not a "reality" game, so I expect some manipulation, but BB seems to be the worst of the bunch when it comes to production.
  7. That's not exactly a fair argument. Comparing ANYONE to Rosie O'Donnel makes them look like a saint.
  8. I doubt Julie Chen even watches a single episode of BB. She didn't have a clue how many HOH's Aaryn had won, so even her briefing notes are wrong. She was likely just handed a bunch of notes about Aaryn and told to trash her.
  9. CBS really decided to make a scape-goat out of Aaryn. I felt sorry for her. Julie Chen shouldn't be berating the house guests like that, considering she has never done it before and there have been far worse guests. If I was Aaryn, I wouldn't have put up with that crap. She should have asked Julie if she's berated all the previous guests, most of which were making similar jokes. I hope Aaryn doesn't give CBS any more ratings, and just shuts up and not bother saying anything in the finale. Just cast her vote silently, and leave. She can't compete with CBS's smear campaign, so there's no point in her saying anything from now on. They'd only use it against her, anyway. I bet if someone followed Julie Chen around with a microphone for 3 months, she's say some nasty stuff too, especially about people not in her social category. P.S. And yes, Jeff is a homophobe, but that's fine with CBS because he's liked by the ladies.
  10. Amanda deserves to win the most. But if she's up against McCrae in the end, he'll take it.
  11. I hope Aaryn wins. She won't, of course, and doesn't deserve to (except for her HoH wins), but I hope by some strange voting that she does win. She'd certainly win against dumb-Rachael, or Spencer. I do think that McCrae is going to win it, provided he makes it to the end. But they may get rid of him before that. I think the smartest player is Amanda. She's a bully, but bullies tend to win BB. She'll probably win against anyone but McCrae.
  12. If those same people lived in a Big Brother house 50 years ago, they would have experienced far greater racism than a few tasteless jokes. Even today, in many parts of the world, racism can get people killed. So yes, it's pretty mild.I don't see any of the "racists" going so far as to vote out people because of their race. From what I've heard, it's been limited to bad jokes. IMO, that's pretty tame compared to what racism has been in the past. i.e., Helen is still running the show, despite her "allies" making racist jokes about her. She doesn't seem to be much of a victim.
  13. Just like it is every year. The current contestants are a pale comparison to what a **** Evil Dick was. IMO, the stuff that has been said in this season is pretty tame. Mildly racist at best. Said more for dark humor than for discrimination.
  14. This was obviously a mistake CBS made when they realized that dumb-Rachael was winning it every week. So, CBS made it even worse by giving the nomination directly to the viewers. This has two effects: (1) It makes for boring TV. The "big friendly" alliance will always get to vote out one of the outcasts, regardless of who wins HoH. (2) Once the contestants figure it out, they'll be playing for the camera, and not telling it what they're really scheming. Big Brother 1 was a flop in part because the viewers had too much control. You'd think CBS would have learned that lesson, but perhaps memory is short.
  15. And here we have Dan win PoV. What a surprise... NOT. This is just getting ridiculous. I'm okay with BB manipulating the game a bit, but it's not even realistic any longer. It's clear BB wants Dan to stay in the game, and will do anything to make sure that happens. Goodbye for this year, BB. I'll tune in next summer to watch another half season, until the blatent manipulation gets too much to handle.
  16. It doesn't matter. BB wants Ian, Dan, and Frank to stay in the game. They'll arrange a PoV for any of them that is in trouble. The only issue is if it's a choice between Dan or Frank going home this week. If it comes to that, BB will arrange Dan to stay, because he's their golden boy.
  17. Please get rid of Dan. He's already won, and he had a huge cheat with the coach thing. But BB won't let him do that, of course. They want Dan to win again.
  18. Yeah, but he's got some kind of mental problem. Asperger's? I think it explains why he's so OCD about things, including his radical fandom. He's like a 4 year old about some things.
  19. Isn't it clear? Jealousy. The boards don't like attractive girls.
  20. I'm rooting for Ian, but I know he won't win. He's just too weird and too easily bullied. He'll be Dan and Frank's puppet after Brit goes home.
  21. Yes, Survivor is a joke. Way too predictable, and it's obvious it's heavily produced. Every show it's predictable that the player they set up the audience to believe is going home, is NOT the one going home. Survivor is well past its peak. I don't know how it's still on the air. Same thing every season. One team makes a big alliance, picks off everyone not in their alliance, then picks off everyone on the other team after the merge. So predictable, so boring. Oh yeah, and when it gets near the end, the females all form a "female alliance", and the guys are too dumb EVERY SINGLE TIME to understand they've been outsmarted. You'd think after 20 seasons, at least one guy in America would have a clue! At least BB has the HoH which means that even a small alliance has a chance of taking down a bigger alliance. Of course, the HoH comps are rigged in favor of who the producers want to win, but there's still a chance it might not go their way.
  22. All "reality" shows are heavily produced and scripted. The difference with Big Brother is that the audience gets to see a good deal of what goes on. Not everything (diary rooms are secret, and some other stuff is blocked). But we see enough that we get the impression that BB is faked. Well, it's no more faked than Survivor or Bachelor or Amazing Race or any other "reality" show. Don't watch these shows expecting they're fair. They're not. Just watch them for entertainment purposes. When the producers take a turn that you don't like, just turn them off like you would any regular TV program you no longer like. P.S. I usually watch at least half a BB season, but eventually don't like the way it evolves. I'm not sure if I'll be watching much more of this season, because I'm not a Dan fanboy nor do I like the way CBS put the coaches back into the game. Oh well, there's always next year.
  23. Yeah, he's a psycho, but he does have an endearing, geeky quality. Kind of a small, geeky version of Dexter. You know he's psycho, but you like him anyway.
