Today's episode of House Calls was great! Ivette called in and was asked some hard questions. Sadly they announced it was their last show until next year. I went into the show wanting to like Ivette despite some of the things she did and said in the house. Unfortunately, I came away after watching the show with diminished respect for her. She came off very defensive, not at all repentant and apparently hasn't learned any lessons from watching herself and listening to feedback from fans. That's unfortunate. I was hoping for more from her. Ah well. I'll miss Gretchen and Marcellas. By the way Gretchen got married last week! Congrats!

I was so turned off by this guy. When Marcellas asked him why they edited the show in such a way that America never got to see Ivette's racist comments he said that they weren't important to the story. What a load. Revealing this aspect of her character is core to the story. He seemed very put off by Marcellas even questioning his editing decisions. And considering he was a guest on Marcellas' show seemed to not give Marcellas basic respect - called him stupid. Marcellas said he felt like he was with his parent. This guy gave me some insight into why the show is so poorly edited. Power tripping, egomaniac with little talent. Thank goodness for the live feeds.

couldn't have said it better marcellas! you and gretchen are great. housecalls is a highlight in my day. when you acheive something that hits the mark as well as house calls does, there's always going to be haters. rock on!

i think that the outrage regarding the "i'd do him comment" is because it was man on man action. gretchen called eric an a-hole today, why no outrage about this? i love house calls i love both gretchen and marcellas. personally i'd do either one of them. marcellas, your personality (including when you lose your composure) is so appealing to me and physically you are a gorgeous man. keep doing what you are doing because it is magic. tell gretchen she's a doll and i love her humor and personality. as for a six year old watching house calls, i personally wouldn't let my child watch it. no offense but it's i don't think it's appropriate for young children. as for the whole discussion about gay parenting.... i'm at a loss for words. straights don't have the corner on the market of good parenting skills.
