This actually brings up a important point in how the show works (behind the scenes). The bachelor is only considering about 4-6 women from the moment the women arrive, rest are there to provide a bunch of drama and then be sent home.  However, there is always the risk that the Bachelor will discover that none of the REAL woman interest him enough to want to date after the show ends. I specifically use the word "date" rather than "marry". This show is not about finding a person to marry, its finding someone who the bachelor likes enough to date in real life, and if things works out, then marriage would logically follow. So anyway.... how do they handle it if the Bachelor decides he does not want to date any of the real women by the time they reach the end? There are a couple of options, he could choose not to propose to any of women in the final show and they all get sent home (really bad option), or he could propose to one of the women hired by the producers to be on the show (ie Courtney). The idea being, he knows, and she knows, there is no true romance between them and they are there simply to get a huge paycheck + the fame that comes along with being on the show. AND....I highly suspect there is a huge six figure bonus for the bachelor if he actually proposes to one of the women, and she likely gets a similar bonus if she accepts, and of course they agree not to date anyone else before the final show airs. Kind of hard to walk away from a large sum of money when the producers provide him the option of proposing to a woman hired by them to be safety measure; in other words, Ben has known from the very beginning what all his options were, including picking someone hired by the producers to be one of the women.

Can someone explain why the baseball scoreboard last week showed the Blue team won 7-6 after 3 innings?

The way the episode was laid out for us, they were supposed to play 2 innings, and the winning team gets to spend the evening with Ben.  After one inning, the Red team was up 5-1, and the Blue team comes back to tie it 6-6 after 2 innings.  So the game goes to extra innings, and Ben is interviewed to say they kept tieing it up, until it was the bottom of the 5th and the Red team was ahead 10-9.  Blue team is shown to strike out, and the Red team wins 10-9.

The only problem is the scoreboard is shown going into the bottom of the 5th, with the following:
Red: 5 1 0 2 2
Blue:3 3 1 2

So according to the scoreboard, after the 3rd inning, the Blue team was ahead 7-6.. game over! lol

I'm curious what happened?

LOL.... Good eye, but do not try and figure out the sequence of events in this show, or at least try to not assume events are in chronological order. The producers have no problem switching around the order of things said or done if it makes for a better episode. They have even filmed comments weeks later and created fake scenes. Very very little about this show has any basis in reality. If you want, you can think of the show like a weird dream where things happen that don't always make any logical sense or have much connection with real life. Its practically a romantic fantasy with drama thrown in to keep the audience guessing. Basically, its 90% BS, but that why its so fun. You can't take it seriously.

Episode Feb 6th, 2012

• Cacey S. She was completely setup by producers. She comes on the show while still seriously in love some guy she been dating for at least a couple of years. Come'on now, who's fooling who. Does anyone truly believe the producers didn't know about her past before coming on the show. Hell, they probably tracked down every boyfriend she ever had since the 6th grade. So when they drop the bomb, is because they planned from the very start to confront her about it, and forcer her to leave. Likely they were hoping she might confess on camera to one of the girls or otherwise make it very dramatic, but if she didn't, well they just confront her and have Ben ask her to leave. A few weeks ago, I couldn't figure out her role, but its now clear.

• Courtney. Nobody gets more air time that this nasty witch. Not even the hands down favorite Kacie B. Courtney has nothing good to say and is always scheming to win, and I highly suspect a lot of her dialog is written by the producers. She is such a caricature of "The Bitch" when she is doing her side comments directly into the camera, and its not the best acting job either; its good enough, but it lacks the realism and complexity that defines a true bitch. If she were "for real" she would more two-faced with the girls, winning them over to her side by BS'ing them, then making off hand comments to Ben about them, but in causal manner. As an professional model\actress Country is smart enough to know that making "bitchy" comments into the camera is unprofessional and makes her look bad, thus she knows exactly what she is doing, because she is doing exactly what the producers have hired her to do.

• Kacie B. Ben either proposes to her or she is be offered a future Bachelorette. Hate to say it, but at the moment I am not seeing a lot of romantic chemistry between the Ben and Kacie. Clearly coming into the show she was cast as the "sweat girl" who would make it to the final 4. The very big question will be if she accepts The Over Night Date offer. If she makes some excuse and turns the offer down, then it very unlikely that Ben will propose to her. Yeah, I know Emily Manard  turned down the over night date and still got a proposal, but IMHO, there never really was any romance between them, she was the his exit clause; both get a big pay check, but after the show ended, they never seriously dated, and likely never had sex.  With Kacie, if there is romance and a sexual attraction, then Kacie will accept the over night date, if there isn't 1) there may not be an overnight date this season, or 2) she has some (fake) reasonable justification for not accepting. Like, got 24 hour flu, and the show's doctors won't let her have sex; you get the idea.

• Blakely: No surprise she got sent home on the two-on-one date. Several times during past episodes she was shown as flaky and emotionally unstable. Her date with Ben just seem weird. And nearly always when she was the focal point in a scene (not standing in the back ground), they inserted clunky music to enhance the feeling that something was not quite right with her, someone that was slightly off or just weird. You know, the type that might do something totally unpredictable like talk to herself in the mirror and think its perfectly normal to have conversations as if her mirror image was a twin... WACKO!

• Emily. Yep, she is the other hired person this this season. I think she nows has holds the Bachelor all time reacord for getting the Rose of Death three straight times. As I stated previously, her role is play off Country, the producers instruct them get into cat verbal fights while around the other girls to create drama for the camera. The reason they have at least two hired girls is because it would be unfair for the producer to have Country verbally attack\insult the other girls who don't know she hired by the producers, thus Courtney and Emily get into verbal cat fights that are arranged by the producers. If these two are at the center, then the other girls are focused on them rather than any REAL conflicts that exist.

^^ Nothing surprises me with this show. And it wouldn't surprise me if they setup her up one way or another simply so they have someone that leaves the show suddenly (it part of their formula\script)

Pre-production meeting:

Head Producer: Looks like we have everything in place, except for we have not decided who we want to throw off the show. Any ideas?
Assistant producers: I think that Casey S is hot. Let me see if I can sleep with her.
Head Producer: Naw, we already did the "producer-bimbo" thing once a few seasons ago.
Assistant producer: How about if I sleep with her, then during production we surprise her by saying you just found out, but give her the option to leave because she got a boyfriend at home. Pretty sure she'll go with boyfriend story than look like a total slut on prime time TV for having slept with a married producer.
Head Producer: That might work. Go see if you can seduce her.
Assistant Producer: I already did. She was in my office last night; she was making so much god damn noise security knocked on my door to see if everything was alright...lol
Head Producer: Damn, you're too good. Some day you're going to make a great head producer.

I literally can't watch this show with feeling repulsed.  
I joined the last 10 minutes last night to watch some ridiculousness with Courtney and within seconds was hating what this program has become.

I honestly can't remember a bachelor less appealing since Duckface/Alex (I think that was his name).   But even with Duckface the show had a Cinderella appeal to it. Not anymore.
I am sure Ben is a nice guy but he is blah for TV and the "manufactured drama" is just terrible.

I think it is time to retire this show or somehow get it back to its roots..
I think that ABC and related companies like People magazine keep trying to promote these people as stars of some sort And it is just annoying and I am getting to resent having these nothings forced upon us like they are something special.

..... Truthfully... this is the 1st time I've watched about 4 shows of any of the series for Bachelor.
BUT... I'm having a blast watching that   biatch (I think you know who I mean)

I laugh thru at least half of the show.

And if the rumors flying around have any truth, he's going to make an unpopular decision in the final show, a decision that is an option created by the producers to allow the Bachelor out of actually having to be REALLY engaged to someone who he does not want to marry.... But, rumors are rumors, so we shall see what happens.

Kacie B appears to be clear favorite, but she might also be the clear favorite to be the next Bachelorette after Emily Maynard. The way they are editing the entire season there does not appear to be a strong, soul mate, bond going on with Kacie or any of the other woman. If we are seeing the best romantic footage they got, its stuff that could make it into any Disney movie for preteens.

Another thing to take note, there is no "Over-night-date" this season (according to the previews). That is very telling, if he doesn't want to sleep any of them, or they won't sleep with him, then the season is a total bust (which it appears to be). Not that true love means they have to go on national TV and agree to have premartial sex, but you can bet to get on this show, the women are asked "Would you be willing to have sex with bachelor if he were to ask you on a over night date?". At the very least, they need to agree in advance they would seriously consider it, otherwise they aren't going to make the list of 25. Wouldn't surprise me if several of them say: "I'll F*** his brains out the first night if you want". And based on history of this show over the years, many of the woman have had one night stands on many occations before\after being on the Bachelor, and use sex to get what they want, and to get ahead professionally. At best 1-2 each season is the girl next door type that is truly selective, and doesn't have a long history of sleeping with guys going all the way back to high school.

What maybe the strangest part of this season is the woman who gets the most air time is "The Bitch", Courtney. She gets as much air time as Ben, while the rest of the nicer girls are almost background characters. Courtney is nearly has bad as Bentley in terms of constantly trash talking. It seems clear to me that the producers are coaching her, and she knows her role on the show is to be the bitch. The next woman to get more air time than the others was Emily, and that is because she having cat fights with Courtney. And of course they wait to send her home just before the home town date, so they can have those two create (fake) drama. We hardly know the other 3 women who have gotten home town dates, and the one we know the best is The Bitch.

Courtney. For those who follow Reality Steve, I am going to disagree with his belief that Ben is madly in love with Courtney (ie just madly wants to have sex with her). I have very little doubt that Courtney is hired by the producers to play the Bitch and also provide Ben with a way to exit without actually choosing one of the real women there (Kacie, Nicki, Lindzi). This entire season she gotten exclusive access to Ben that no other woman was allowed, all of which is staged\scripted by the producers to give the show more drama. Do not believe for a moment that any of the women are free to sneak off and have secret hookups (ie skinny dipping) without it being OK'ed by the producers in advance, and all the women know that. And if, by chance, it were OK for any of the women to do whatever they wanted, the bachelor would be having an orgy with at least a half dozen woman the first night, and every night. And to get a head, they would would be doing more than flashing their boobs on prime time TV as Courtney did, they'd doing the same crap seen in hardcore porn videos. Not all the women would stoop so low, but Ben wouldn't need every single one in his bed at night, 1-2 would be enough. Sorry, the Courtney drama is faked and scripted. Even her home own date date was BS. Maybe her parents might have been in the dark, or maybe given just enough info to know their wasn't any true romance, and then through the magic of editing, it was made to seem more real than what actually happen. To me her home town date appeared scripted; I mean, come'on now, a fake wedding where they practice their vows, that truly was awful, and it was intentionally scripted to be awful. They've even done it before as a joke a few season ago on the Bachelette. If the producers wanted to make it truly romantic, we clearly have seen in the past that the show has the money and high production values to create some amazing (fantasy) romantic moments; this one was a big bad dud, like getting married by the justice of the peace. Surely no woman watching the show was swept of her feet by that one, nor was it intended to be either.

Kacie B. She and the other three women are real. Nothing fake about them, at least they not hired by the producers nor added because the producer's research found they had a personality flaw that would add a lot of drama. Kacie was sent home, maybe some what of a surprise because she was the hands down favorite to make it to the final rose ceremony. Then again, she maybe a future Bachelorette in training. I can only speculate why she was sent how after her home town date. It would appear that maybe in the next episode there might be an over night date or something sexual that's wasn't agreeable to Kacie plus Ben had decided that he would not propose to her anyway, thus to save her from further rejection, they let her go before getting to the point where she would refuse to get naked in bed with Ben, or worse she does accept an over night date (I think she would have) has sex with him, only to get the rejected further at the final rose. Imagine her parents reaction watching their daughter agree to have premarital sex on national TV, then have Ben reject her during the final rose episode. Man, in the South that's akin to saying to them: "I slept with your daughter which makes her a total slut that everyone throughout the South now knows she's nothing but a common whore" Overall, Ben never seemed interested in her beyond thinking she was a very nice girl, some one he'd like as a friend, but not marry. But, I also beleive that is how he feels about all the remaining woman. Basically he has no romantic interest in any of them. High probability she'll get an offer to be a future Bachelorette, or god forbid, appear on the the truly god awful Bachelor Pad, where wannabe reality celberties are willing to have sex on a major prime time reality show. Let's hope Kacie does not stoop that low in her attempt to break free from her parents and live her own life. Bachelor Pad is not the place to do it.

Lindzi. Nice person, but I think its pretty clear she loves horses more than Ben, and he knows it. Whenever she does get married, its going to be to some guy that loves horses too. That, or she becomes an old maid that everyone comes to know as "The Crazy Horse Lady" that once was on the Bachelor.

Nicki. Another woman Ben would like as a friend, but never would marry. Both her and Lendzi, and even Kacie B, hardly got any air time for the audience to get a sense of their personality and relationship with Ben; clearly a lot of stuff happened that never made it on the show. These three woman truly appeared be in love with Ben, but they were were mostly background characters in show that was highly dominated by Courtney bitching about them. And even when Courtney was bitching, she was ranting about stuff we never saw. Country was bitching about how they were spending so much time with Ben, and she wasn't. When? we never got to see much of it. Its hard to talk about any of them with much detail because they got so little air time.

And by the way, when Courtney flashed her boobs (last episode), do you think it was for Ben? Nope, more like flashing her boobs as a message to the publishers of Playboy saying "Give me call".

I've never wanted to jump threw my TV screen so bad and slap someone!!!!! WTH he sent Kacie home!?! Ugh this man is gonna kick himself in the rear end. I like Linzie and Nikki but he had such chemistry with Kacie... ugh I am so disappointed right now.

Oh and my opinion on Courtney well it is not a good opinion so I got nothing to say about her except RUN BEN RUN

Well if the rumors hold true, the next two episodes only get worse. Basically, if you were to rank the remaining three girls, well, Ben ranks them in the revervse order, leaving the TV auduances saying "Your F'ing kidding, he pick her? Maybe he's the type of guy that loves abuse and can't get enough of it.".... From a guy's perspective we call it being pussy-whipped or a guy with no you-know-what between his legs. Other than that, it just makes you wonder if the guy is simply gay and is looking for a Fag Hag (hey, gays have no problem with that slang term).

hi Marty... my guess is that they sent her home because tonight is the overnight date. Behind the scenes the decision was likely made by the producers so that she didn't have to deal with the choice of accepting or turning him down. It really wouldn't have matter what she decided if she was going to be last girl standing, but since she wasn't, it really would have looked bak if she accepted to have premarital sex on National TV, but then he rejected her. It would look like she was rejected for being (assumed) virgin or a girl with very little sexual experience. If she turned down his offer, the it would look like she was rejected because she was didn't have sex with him. If she was a virgin, it truly would have been a cruel joke to force her into having sex if she wasn't ready for it (yeah, even at 24)..... IMHO, Kacie is being groomed to be a future bachelorette, so they want to make her look as good as possible if she accepts that offer. I'm firm convienced that the producers decide what order each woman is sent home, Ben just informs the producers which girls he likes. Hell, it highly probable (90%) that Ben has known who he would pick within the first 10 days of shooting, from that point forward, the other girls are sent home based what drama chemistry they have together to get good TV ratings.

If you want to believe my personal theory\speculation on how the show works, I think she was specifically cast to be on the show as a screen test for being a future bachelorette. It gives her experience\training of being in front of the camera and how production works, and the producers can see if the audience likes her enough to be a future bachelorette.

Seems pretty clear that Ben is going to pick Country as the love of his life (for 3-6 months), while every single person who watches the show is running to the bathroom hoping to make it to the toilet before they throw up.

The question is not so much why did he pick her, but why did the producers make her look like the biggest bitch on TV?  Abby-Fairgate-Ewing could have taken lessons from Coutrney. If a person wants to be naive and beleive that they are just showing her the way she truly is, then might as well beleive in Santa. The producers have 110% control over how the show is edited, and they can make anyone look great, bad, or anywhere in between. If they wanted, they could have made this season' sweet heart look like a total bimbo or even a total bitch, simply by selecting her worst moments in front of the camera, and editing into the show out of context. In the case of Courtney, we rarely got to see anything that made her look remotely likeable. At best, the likeable parts of her personality seemed forced and self-serving, like an actress crying on cue. I still beleive she was hired by the producers and acted like a bitch because that was what she was paid to do, not because that is how she is in real life, at least not to the same degree that we see on the show. Maybe she is a bitch who is good at playing the bitch. My best guess at this point remains that at the start of the season there no more than 4 real girls that the bachelor (Ben) is looking at, all the rest are whackos of some kind, or hired women to play a role. IMHO, emily and Courtney were both hired to play off each other. At some point Ben decides hed does not like any of the 4 real women. Since Ben decided that non of the 4 real women are a good match for him, then he has the option of selecting one of the hired women to be his fake fiance for 6 months. Hey, its not against the law to get engaged to someone who you never intent to marry or even lie on national TV and say that you did.. And if it is indeed is completely fake, both Ben & Emily get nice big paychecks for completing their contracts which is to get engaged on national TV. I am guessing 6 figures is the amount they are getting paid to stay engaged for 6 months. The show doesn't care what happens to them once the next season starts, they are old news by that time, and everyone has come to expect that these enagements are on par with falling in love in the 6th grade; if its last 3-4 months, everybody thinks its true love.

I think Ben is stupid and when he picks monkey face Courtney he gets what he deserves.He was warned but all the other girls and he ignored it,,Next time he better start using the head on his shoulders.I dont even think Courtney is pretty at all.
