Maybe it's because all of the ones I have seen in the previews are former VH1 "celebreality" personalities, I don't see any of the being very sincere about anything other than milking their 15 minutes. Compare what VH1 shows and what is shown on shows like "Intervention" (TLC, I think) and you can see the difference. I don't buy it. If I want to watch a trainwreck, I want it to be a non-scripted wreck.

Im sure I will check this out, if I see that its on, but this is one show I dont know if I agree with, of course the celebs agreed and are probably getting paid, but thats the problem, how many are there to make a buck and not really get help??

It's very interesting watching this.  I heard on commercials that this was the number one show on cable thursday nights.

I still can't get into the show. Maybe if they lied to me and told me that people were there for more than 5 days, I may have a different opinion. But they haven't been there for a week and already three of the girls are BFF and chummy.

This latest episode is really intense... although I still haven't watched the second half of the episode.  It's hard to imagine how adults can be so cruel to children.

I like this show to... I think Jeff's girlfriend Vickie is trying on purpous for him to fell.. She intentionally picks fights with him to push his buttons and she tries to sneak drugs and alchol into rehab. Something is up with that...How much money does Jeff have..does she have more control over him and his finances when he is using. I tell you something is up with her..

i really like dr. drew....loveline was the best! This show is really sad though...but i can see why it is needed in today's society.

VH1's harrowing "Celebrity Rehab," the limited-run series, is ending -- not with the bang we got on every other episode, but with a whimper. It's graduation time and clearly it's going to be harder to stay sober than it was for them to get sober. Not that you'll see anyone fall off the wagon just yet.

At the end of last week's show, host Dr. Drew Pinsky told the addicted celebs that he was offering them three months -- at his expense -- at a "sober living" facility so that they could help to maintain sobriety after their three weeks of on-camera detox and therapy.

Only three accepted. Now, you'd think after the horrors they've been through -- and how far they've fallen, from gorgeous celebrities to banged up, incoherent, vomiting messes -- that they all would have jumped at the chance.

Still left in the facility by graduation time were former pro wrestler Chyna (Joan Marie Laurer); lead singer of Crazytown, Shifty Binzer; private school girl-turned-porn star Mary Carey; "Family Matters" star-turned-porn actress Jaimee Foxworth; former UFC champion Ricco Rodriguez; former "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra; and actress and reality show staple Brigitte Nielsen.

Jeff Conaway, of "Taxi" and "Grease" fame, who nearly died on the show when he had a seizure and had to be rushed to the hospital, had already quit -- as had one other celeb patient. Actor Daniel Baldwin quit after being ratted out for asking porn star Mary to show him naked pictures of herself.

But the question we all want to know now is, how are they doing now so many months after the show wrapped? Dr. Drew Pinsky tells me that they've shot a reunion show where the celebrities reunite with him to report on their progress. All but two of the original members attend and -- for the most part -- "they are doing well."

The reunion taped last Monday, February 25 without two of its infamous patients. Who are those two that didn't show? No surprise: Daniel Baldwin and Jessica Sierra, who was arrested after the show. Jessica is actually back at the Pasadena Recovery Center.

At a hearing about transferring her probation to California, her lawyer recently "told [a] judge that every progress report and all indications show Sierra is doing well in treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center," acording to The Tampa Tribune. Earlier, "Florida officials allowed Sierra to go to California for a yearlong stint at an in-house drug treatment facility."

Yes, Conaway actually did show up, Drew says. And even Conaway's doing better -- although doing worse for him would have meant death, I guess. Mary Carey, oddly enough, found her self-esteem but now has no career. She can no longer feel good about taking her clothes off for a living.

Dr. Drew Pinsky opens up about the celebrities he treated in his show, "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Brigitte Neilsen joins them and reveals the embarrassment she felt entering rehab and how she realized she needed help.

Next, "American Idol" alum Jessica Sierra talks about her struggle with drugs and a recent relapse. "Crazy Town" Singer Shifty talks about what it was like watching himself do crack on camera and how staying sober is an everyday struggle.

Plus, the guys in the band, V-I-P Party Boys, discuss how sex and drugs get tangled with fame. One of the band's members may have taken his drug use too far and two of the band members confront him with an intervention on stage.

I find this show quite interesting. Especailly with the Baldwin guy.

VH1 renews Celebrity Rehab, will announce I Love Money cast members on its blog

VH1 has renewed Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, the horrifying yet compelling series that was this year’s best new show. Dr. Drew will likely return for the second season, since his name is, you know, in the title of the show.

That’s according to VH1’s blog, which is basically a repository for information about VH1’s shows that would otherwise end up on other sites, or perhaps would be released by its PR department. It’s actually brilliant, because the bitchy blog attitude helps to conceal the fact that it basically exists just to pimp VH1’s programming.

The post on Celebrity Rehab is short on details, which is part of the blog’s other strategy: providing information in sporadic bursts to encourage people to return to the site. For example, VH1 just announced today that it will slowly release the names of cast members for its upcoming all-star competition I Love Money, in addition to other details about the show, but one day at a time.

Today, all it says about Dr. Drew and his group of famous addicts is that it “can confirm that a second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is on its way to VH1 and should arrive…soon. Once we can confirm details (cast, etc.), we will. Watch this space!”

'Celebrity Rehab'-itants Named For New Season


'American Idol' contestant Nikki McKibbin will check
into 'Celebrity Rehab' while Actor Gary Busey will take
on the unlikely role as mentor

"Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" will return for a second season in October, VH1 has announced. Among the celebrities slated to participate are Rodney King, Tawny Kitaen, former Guns 'n' Roses drummer Steven Alder, Sean Stewart (son of Rod), model Amber Smith, former "American Idol" contestant Nikki McKibbin, and -- after choosing to leave the show's first season before filming was completed -- actor Jeff Conaway.

Actor Gary Busey also will participate, joining the cast to talk about his recovery from cocaine addiction. The show will follow the group of celebrity patients as they detoxify during a 21-day intensive program at a rehab center in Los Angeles, with the help of Dr. Drew Pinsky and his staff.

"Over the course of the first season we were inundated with positive feedback about the series from our viewers and those in the rehab community," Jeff Olde, executive vice president of original programming and production for VH1, said in a statement. "Dr. Drew is a powerful, positive force for those seeking recovery."

I watched most to the episodes of season one. I think I just watched it because I was horrified at Jeff Conway and what he had become.

I missed a few episodes then saw the last one and he was gone. I don't think he will live long if he keeps up with the drugs. So pathetic that such a handsome guy turned into what he has because of drugs.

Wow, last time I saw Steven Adler, on Rockstar or something, he looked frightening! Truth is, I thought he had already died. To get kicked out of G'n'R for drugs is like Cheech and Chong telling you to cool it with the weed.

Is Rodney King really a celebrity? He got beat up by cops while wacked out on PCP. Does that really make him a celebrity?
