As far as I am concerned, none of them are exempt from acting like a bunch of trashy fools. None. Before we get all crazy about all this just please remember that they are most likely going to be all huggy and kissy at the finale.

I do believe that people are responsible for their actions and our world is a much smaller world than even a few years ago. I think that people need to be careful what they say and how they say it (I did pay attention, wicked). You just never know who is listening.

Aryan the racist has been labeled a racist due to her racist behavior, this label cant be attributed to one isolated event but rather a multitude of incidents. If you see me typing multiple racist comments please feel free to label be a racist and I will humbly accept that label if my behavior dictates it.

Nope, Aaryn is being labeled a racist because of a lot of speculation by people who are just basing their conclusion on her stupid racist comments and some actions. But the facts that like the black athlete from her college she knew at Texas State taking up for her, that Aaryn went to the senior prom with a black friend and her first love being Cuban America show otherwise.

The effort of some to paint Aaryn as a true racist is very well presented (which is sort of like saying “except for that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play.'' :D

If Aaryn is not a racist, why is her mother apologizing to America and making excuses for her daughter's comments? Also, remember this?
After her daughter made multiple racist remarks in the Big Brother 15 house, Aaryn Gries' mother has hired a public relations firm to help with her daughter's image after she leaves the house.

Aaryn is an anagram of Aryan. Coincidence?

"While I love and continue to support my daughter Aaryn, words cannot describe my disappointment in some of her comments made on 'Big Brother,'" Owens wrote. "These inappropriate comments certainly do not represent the value system under which her father and I have raised her. Aaryn is a young 22-year-old college student that has spent 70 days living in a fish bowl and making mistakes for America to see."--Elisabeth Owens, mother of Aryan.

Racist comments and racist behavior will normally result in a person being labeled a racist.

I can use homophobic language and denigrate homosexuals and say multiple offensive things about homosexuals and people will most likely label me homophobic......but I can always say I have a few gay friends and some people will give me a pass. Some won't.

Amanda Zuckerman is skilled in the art of deflection, she stated that it's okay for her to call Puerto Ricans "smelly" and use the term "Puerto Rican Shower", McCrea being somewhat normal told her that the term was racist in nature and she responded that it's okay to use racially offensive terms as long as you've had sexual intercourse with the race/ethnicity you are insulting.

..the white slave-owner could never be a racist because after all he had sex with his slaves.

People with supremacist beliefs can always weasel out of being labeled a racist simply by reminding the public that they had a Mexican friend in High School or had sex with a Black football player in college but we all know that sociopathic hateful people can smile in your face and still hate you and feel superior to you based on color.

When Amanda confronted the Aryan about how she was being portrayed due to her comments the Aryan responded that she didn't care and a few days later her and Amanda were laughing about how Howard's genitals must taste like watermelon.

Who said Arayn had sex with a black football player ? I thought only Amanda said she has had black guys inside her. :animated_rotfl::afro:

This season has had its up and downs for me. I love coming to Morty's and exchanging opinions and game talk with folks over the years. This season is not so fun.

This is not a message board with the title RACE IN AMERICA AND WHAT MAKES A RACIST.

I am sure there are people that can make a message board for that purpose and spend hours going back and forth and sharing all their racist discoveries.

We know there are a bunch of unfiltered people in the Big Brother house that say things that they should not.

You can Google Aaryn Gries and read pages of articles of opinions that she is a racist and what she said.

Personally I don't find joy in seeing someone at age 22 have to deal with the hate out there. I hope Aaryn finds herself a nice Texan cowboy husband and lives on a ranch and has 6 kids and lives happily ever after. 36_22_24_clear.gif

I agree. It is far better to pretend racism does not exist (especially if you are white) than to talk about it. :disgust: This is the first year BB has had to put a disclaimer on the show. Disclaimer or not, these people are part-time employees of CBS and their actions and words reflect on their employer. Ratings were sluggish until the racist crap came out, but we all know CBS CARES (about ratings) so the bad behavior continues and has escalated as the ratings rose. On BB UK or Australia, Aaryn and others would have been removed from the game in July. I cannot feel sorry for Aaryn or anyone else who screwed up and revealed themselves on this show.

Arayn was the perfect scapegoat right after the Zimmerman trial and did give CBS huge ratings. Wow, GM said ''nigger insurance'' and called Ellissa's kid a ''Puerto Rican fricking dirt-bag'' so it looks like CBS missed the mark.

And GM is 32 years old, is uneducated, is bulemic, was fired from her real job and lives with her mom. She hasn't been evicted yet--so we'll see how Chenbot handles her exit interview. Also, if you are somehow looking for "fairness," regarding how Aryan was handled, forget about it. The ones defending Aaryn sound like Aaryn's mom--blaming Chenbot and CBS for what Aaryn said--which is ridiculous. "Well why not call out GM and Amanda and whomever?" Just wait.

I highly doubt Julie will play that clip of GM saying ''nigger insurance '' or what GM said about the baby. ;)

So? It is on the internet for the world to see for eternity. I find it odd that you want CBS to treat all racists equally, since racists by definition feel others are inferior and they are superior. Maybe Chenbot came down harder on Aaryn because of all her anti-Asian comments. I really don't care.

It truly amazes me how some people seem to think hating a 22 year old girl who made some ill advised comments is going to help the situation. You add hate to the Racism fire and think that fueling hate with your hate is going to make things better? Really? .... Good luck solving the racism problem that exists by using this method! Hate breeds more hate ... Sad but true

No, I just chose not to ignore the facts of which were shown above in my posts.

I don't disagree that she made some comments in very poor taste but what I disagree with is the way some people continue to hate a 22 year old girl ... that's not the solution but they'll continue because they refuse to admit adding their hate to racism

So someone calls for the thread to be locked after trying to get 1 last jab in ... Why am I not surprised?

Like Candice using the word white. She referred to Spencer's ' white ass '. Um, NOT okay.

Are White ass and black ass racist terms? then Black and white referring to people are also since they are inaccurate and an exaggeration of dark brown and pale beige that is the rainbow of our skin colors as a human race.

Is it racist to think people are of a different race? It is for sure if you think one race is better than another. I agree racism has in it the notion of superiority and dislike of the other.

I am aware that Asians have eyes that look different from mine. I do not hate them for it. If they are as a group more likely to be bad drivers, I might make a joke about how they see based on the difference, but I would not be hating them nor feeling superior, only making fun of a stereotype. In my heart and head, I do not really believe that their different eye shape is cause for the driving stereotype.

I suspect it has to do with those who come from cities in Asia where driving is rather mad in a crowded world. I have been in Mexico and the driving there is downright scary also. No difference in eye shape, only a different culture and congestion and legal system regarding driving.

I think it is racist to think dark brown people are better athletes even though one is granting them a superiority, too often that goes along with notions of them being inferior in other departments that are more valued by the culture of the pale person making those comments. Mexicans look with disdain on those of dark skin as being lazy even as they commend them for prowess on the courts as an example of that prejudice that I have seen. Mexicans as a group often feel superior to the AF Am even as they strive to overcome the racism (or cultural prejudice) they encounter.

The redneck hillbilly ie. pale person of poverty in the South with certain cultural backround, is like the Mexican, happy to have dark people to point at as beneath them in the social hierarchy. I do not hate nor look down on those mountain folks except where they do hate others because of their provicialism that makes them dislike who are different and that provincialism exists in all people who for some reason are distrusting of those whom they do not know.

If I were to "confess" to a prejudice, it is to being prejudiced against those who are, even though I can see the causes, I would like for people to encounter each new person as a possibility of being happily surprised at the potential for goodness that each of us does have.
