Or maybe it's that I'm Canadian but the way I was raised, but I really hate to see conversations take this downward spiral route. And I can see a nasty turn about to happen in this thread. Kalia, for all that she may annoy me with her talk, is not svelte. But neither am I. That doesn't preclude her from wearing a bikini or a bathing suit. Nor does the colour of her skin preclude her from getting a tan, soaking up vitamin D or needing to put on lotion to prevent skin damage. Let's just not go there. I've already made myself a promise not to talk about her weight anymore. I made a comment once on an update and was embarrassed at how catty I sounded. Heaven knows I'm no super model. Let's judge the players on their game play and the actions/words they use, not on their appearance.I agree that talking about someone's weight is below the belt BUT a person should also have the sense to know what's appropriate for them and what's not. I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs. Yet I have a belly that I never lost from my babie's. Therefore I always wear a tankini. I have been making an attempt to focus on her gameplay, actions and words. I usually try to stick up for the women of color in this game, but Kalia's actions and words make it very difficult this season. She talks too much and too often about what I see as inappropriate topics. I think she could be a pretty woman but what comes out of her mouth ruins that. When they were making fun of Janelle for gaining weight the first time I took it bad, thought it was sexist, mean etc. Then I went on a healthy eating forum and saw that most of the people who were making fun of Janelle were a lot bigger than her! I had to laugh and never, ever take it seriously again! There is no use getting upset about it. We are not here to worry about what she would say if she saw the thread. People feel like putting their feelings out and they have every right! That's what this forum is for and I don't know why there are people who come here every year and question it. Hung in there past Jeff and Porsche.I doubt it had anything to do with skill on her part.I still think that anyone on that end of the ice-wall would have lasted.It wasn't leaning or shaking as much as the other end was (basicly rigged for Dani to win).Jordan's comment gave it away when she mentioned how she was leaning forward while the girls on the end were leaning back to the wall. I am disappointed in some posters here on some of the comments about Kalia and her weight/eating habits. I'm not svelte either and am an emotional eater. I also talk a lot and would probably kiss butt if i needed too. It's just sad to see these comments, i know they are opinions, but judging a woman on her weight is just sad to me. I am sad at the mean comments made toward you Zu ZU and that anyone would take that because you are Canadian you meant you were raised better or different, why does eveyone have to be sooo quick to take offense to something that they dont agree with , just dont agree, isnt that good enough, why do we have to wave flags and put in mean digs on our fellow posters who I happen to think that you Zu Zu are one of the nicest here, so i throw my hands up on this one.
