Kathy - Week 5

It surprised me to learn that Kathy was a cancer survivor and a smoker.....I have never smoked but have friends who do and they have had trouble giving it up........

I hope one day that Kathy will give it up......she has been given a second chance at life.....too bad if she lets it go up in smoke!

Absolutely, Kat can smoke if she's got em. Just don't subject the house and the rest of us out here in tv and internet land to your whining about being a cancer survivor, cause guess what, you're just inviting it to come on back and visit your lungs, throat, mouth, etc. GO (home) Kat!!

I guess if it was a problem in the house 1) Grodner wouldn't put smokers in 2) the house would be complaining about it since they complain about everything else. Hmmm... I don't think I ever heard anyone on this board express their concern for the other hg when Dick was smoking.

I didn't say the SMOKE was bothering anyone in the house, I was alluding to the fact that her whining about "poor me I'm a cancer survivor but I am still puffing away on my cancer sticks" spiel might bother them.

True it is my choice not to listen but it is also true that it is my choice to listen and then post on here about it. Just sayin'. I think Dick was stupid to smoke too, BUT big difference, he wasn't "playing the cancer card" now was he? Kathy is.

Yes, there were no smoking concerns then. Remember how Dick use to cough like he was choking then light up? I never read any concerns about that either. I wish the ho-bag smoked maybe that would have calmed her down a bit this season and I could have watched the feeds more.

Well the last time I looked I heard the sab talk by Rachel and Brendon brought her a sandwich and she wiped sandwich spread off her mouth with her sleeve.

Brendon always brings her stuff, like a personal maid. What was it that Rachel and Twitney called Kathy, a housekeeper? I guess Brendon is the new housekeeper on the block (no pun intended).

Actually, it's NOT legal in many places. Many cities now have "no smoking" ordinances for public places. Has nothing to do with the BB house, but it's not 100% legal anywhere and everywhere.

Honestly, if Kathy wants to die of lung cancer, I don't really care - cause it IS her choice. But don't jump on me for posting about how stupid or disgusting it is, cause IMHO it is!

LOL I dont hear kathy talk about wanting to quit but maybe she does.

It depends on how much she smokes a day. I'm sure she had it all figured out and brought enough for her stay.

I don't smoke and I don't care who does. I wish they would tax alcohol like they do cigarettes and maybe the high taxes we pay could get lowered if supplemented. I happen to think heavy drinkers and drunken people in bars are disgusting but I'd never think of telling them to put down the drink because they are going to get cirrhosis of the liver.

Actually, it IS legal to sell and buy cigarettes if you're of age.

I know in some states the tobacco taxes are VERY high, but here, they are pitifully low (17 cents a pack) and the state refuses to raise the taxes on them even though the state needs the revenue very badly. Ooops, sorry, off topic.

I used to smoke and I wish I never had. I quit 20 plus years ago. Yep, it's true ex-smokers are the worst critics of those that still do, but hey, we've been there done that, and we do know quitting is possible. I wish for her sake Kathy could quit. It would probably greatly increase her chances of living a longer life.

Shipp - I am not interested in a war of words, so I will say this and move on from you. Your original post was that smoking is legal. And I said in some places you can't smoke- I didn't say you couldn't buy them.

ONE MORE TIME - it's not so much the smoking with Kathy, it's the fact that she plays the cancer card while puffing away.

California has big regulations of where you can smoke. You can't smoke in any public places except an Indian Casino. A pack of cigarettes are almost $6 with all the special taxes.

I would certainly think a person with liver disease that drank alcohol pretty stupid too.

Anyway I like that Kathy is moving around a little more.

LOL -so true (about the booze and liver). Maybe it just takes Kathy a while to get in gear - we shall see, I guess, since she doesn't seem to be going anywhere just yet.

I agree and I smoke I don't smoke around someone unless I ask if it bothers them and never encourage anyone to try it. I don't like the taste of alcohol and don't drink I can't count the times people tried to get me to drink and still do. I look at it this way you can starve yourself to lose weight, drink till you get cirrhosis or smoke till you get but the bus driving down the street does not care if you live a healthy or unhealthy life when it runs over and kills you. So I don't get on anyone for the choices they make.

Kathy claims she's not weak and dropped and went on slop so they think she's weak. It will be a miracle if Kathy ends up being a strong player I just don't see it. Being a deputy sheriff I think she is not being a good rep for the Sheriffs office and can only think she comes from a small town that has hardly any crime in it. She's a joke and embarrassing herself in the BB house.
