About the Show...
As if juggling three wives weren't tricky enough, Season Two of Emmy®- and Golden Globe®-nominated 'Big Love' finds modern polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) tackling problems outside his three-house suburban home. As a failed expansion and a suspicious employee entangle his work at Henrickson Home Plus, Bill races to find the person responsible for outing his wife Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) as a polygamist at Utah's Mother of the Year ceremony. Meanwhile, back at the fundamentalist Juniper Hill compound, prophet Roman Grant (Harry Dean Stanton) sets his sights on Bill's brother Joey (Shawn Doyle) as leverage to regain a share of the family business. Throw a pregnant Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) and an overcompensating Nicki (Chloe Sevigny) into the mix, and Bill won't be getting much sleep at any of his houses. Bold, funny and wholly original, Big Love continues to explore the evolving institution of marriage through this typically atypical family.

Big Love stars Bill Paxton ("Twister," "A Simple Plan"), Jeanne Tripplehorn ("The Firm"), Chloë Sevigny (Oscar®-nominated for "Boys Don't Cry," "Dogville"), Ginnifer Goodwin ("Walk the Line," "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!"), Harry Dean Stanton ("The Green Mile," "Anger Management"), Bruce Dern ("Monster") and Grace Zabriskie ("Twin Peaks"). Other regulars include Amanda Seyfried ("Mean Girls"), Shawn Doyle ("Don't Say a Word") Daveigh Chase ("Lilo & Stitch"), Joel McKinnon Miller ("After the Sunset"), Douglas Smith ("Sleepover"), Melora Walters ("Cold Mountain") and Jolean Wejbe ("Gilmore Girls"). Also featured: Mary Kay Place ("Sweet Home Alabama"), Matt Ross ("Good Night, and Good Luck") and Tina Majorino ("Napoleon Dynamite").

Big Love returns to HBO for it's third season on January 18th for a big Block Party.

I need a serious recap. Frig, I can't remember a lot. I think this has been the longest break a show has had. i can't understand why.

Ya, I saw...I wasn't very impressed. Maybe too much time has gone by for me to be as "into" it?

And what the heck was he doing with that waitress girl?? I thought that whole fling was over?

I did too, but clearly it's not. She showed up at the most inopportune time there at the end didn't she?

Not sold on this show. I watched a few times the first season, but it ended up annoying me.

I'm with you Elle. I was disappointed. I'll watch again next week hoping for improvement. It seemed to jump ahead or something and a lot of "good" stuff was skipped. It's annoying we didn't get to see how things went down, etc. (Or maybe I just forgot it all... sad.gif )

It was a good one last night. Could someone please tell me what the book was on the daughters lap at the end of the show.

It was a pregnancy book for expectant young mothers. That's why she was hugging the ex bf's sweater, crying.

It was something about being preggers. The book was something on the order of "Options for the Expectant Mother" I think. It was on and off pretty quick, but the gist is that she is knocked up!

so i finally watched both episodes. i thought they were both good ones. sarah's a bit of a mess, isn't she? margene is as cute as a button still.......i love that she is growing up and realizing what she needs to do. her speach to the guy buying the casino rocked. i was whoo hoo'ing her during the whole thing!
i'm wondering if barb is going to change her tune about wanting a fourth wife now that she's got the all clear from her doctors. that seemed to be her main motivation for 'dating' ana. who by the way seems to be causing some problems next week. i hope she doesn't tell their secrets!! but that's what the previews are making it look like.
nikki will never learn.......she's gonna get caught and then busted big time for her 'job'. and then margene's gonna probably get into some trouble b/c she's using her name!
oh, i still looooooooooooooooooooove wanda and albie needed to be shoved into a toilet, not a sink!
