Totally agree with UVP. But last year, Cook singing Billy Jean - LOVED it!

Although David sang the song well, it was not his "re-do". Chris Cornell gets the credit for his unique version of Billie Jean. David did Chris's version.

Simon Cowell made $36 million judging and co-producing American Idol last year. Now he wants $144 million per year to keep doing it, the New York Post reports.

While $36 million may seem like a lot of money for five months worth of snarky comments and eye-rolls, it's only a fraction of the estimated $900 million that "Idol" rakes in a year. As the lynchpin of the show -- without him there would be no one to hate and no dramatic tension with Paula Abdul -- Cowell believes he's due for a raise.

To get more of the pie, he's been leaning on long-time friend and UK retail multibillionaire Sir Philip Green -- who owns hot fashion franchise Top Shop -- for help negotiating the terms of what would be a new "Idol" contract, reports say. Green is said to be lobbying hard for an increase in Cowell's appearance fee on the show.

Went to the concert last night and it was FANTASTIC!!!! I got to meet ALL ten of them after the show and had my photo taken with Kris, Scott, Adam, Anoop, Michael, Danny and Allison- woo hoo! They were all very gracious and laid back.

I met Megan first and she was very sweet. She explained everything on her tattoo to my friend's niece and we talked about her son being with her on the tour.

Michael Sarver is awesome- the gentleman's gentleman. Super friendly.

Anoop was the most pensive and away from the group than the others but he was really cool. He talked to us about the rest of their tour schedule and the fact that they have a 2 day break before the Dallas concert.

Danny was ABSOLUTELY the most talkative of the bunch and a total hugger. We had our photo taken with him and when we went to leave he hugged us again. And-holy mackerel-the guy must be working out on the tour because his upper arms are huge!

Kris is exactly like he was on the show. Definitely the most laid-back of the bunch with a great sense of humor. We came up to him and he said, "let me guess- you're here for Scott." (we were wearing red shirts because red was Scott's color for the tour) Then my friend told him that she was totally sold on him after she heard him sing Man in the Mirror, and he said, "well, that was after Scott was off the show, right?" Ha ha. He had on one of the shirts he wore on the show.

Allison was a crack up...she was all over the place. That girl has tons of energy-and she can't take a serious photo! Each of us had our photo taken with her and she made a goofy face in each one-except for the one with my friend's niece. The niece just fell in love with her and on the way home said she was her favorite now (she's 10 years old).

It took awhile to see Adam because he had a line but it was so worth it. I have to admit that I was never on the Adam bandwagon, but he is genuinely a really nice guy-Very gracious and the most beautiful smile! My friend's husband was having problems with my camera so it took awhile and a few shots to get a photo (it still came out dark-boo hoo!) but he was very patient and said, "yay, we got it!" He's won me over - well, that and the fact that his performance was phenomenal!

Lil was gracious but not very talkative.

Scott was well- Scott! I wish you all could meet him because he really is the sweetest teddy bear of the group...and his performance would've won over all you Scott-skeptics out there. He was fantastic! He was so sweet at moving his head when people told him he was looking in the wrong direction for a photo and let people guide his hand to where to sign his autograph. His mom, dad, brother and sister were all there too, having a great time. Todd (his brother) leaves for Japan soon for a 6 month performance stint.

All in all, a very cool night!

Once I get the photos downloaded to my pc I'll post a few of them! I'm not sure how to blur faces- I don't know whether my friends (or myself, for that matter) would want their photo posted. Anyone know how that's done?

Photos from the Glendale, AZ Concert

americanidolconcert002.jpg

Megan looked beautiful and was very sweet...not great in the vocals department though...

americanidolconcert018.jpg

Anoop, imo, had the smoothest, purest voice of the night...I loved his performance! Can't say the same about the strange glasses though.

americanidolconcert009.jpg

Allison- what can I say? So much energy! She was fantastic...and so funny backstage. You could tell that she was having the time of her life!

americanidolconcert010.jpg

Even though alot of my photos were a bit blurry due to the flashing lights in the background, I still love this shot.

americanidolconcert012.jpg

Scott was loving being with the hometown crowd-he sang beautifully and cracked up the audience with jokes about the "high five heard round the world" and imitating Simon.

americanidolconcert017.jpg

Lil's first number was good but the second one-bleh....and she took off her jacket revealing the fact that, yes, her booty really is that big. She was very gracious after the show.

americanidolconcert025.jpg

Matt Giraud was the biggest surprise of the night for me- he is a fantastic performer! The crowd loved him and he definitely made me a bigger fan!

americanidolconcert028.jpg

Danny was the "preacher" of the group- definitely the most talkative on stage and backstage too. And he must be working out because his biceps are very, very nice ;o).

americanidolconcert043.jpg

What can be said about Adam other than he's even more phenomenal in person- a total entertainer with a voice that goes up to the rafters. Simply amazing. The sound system was so loud though that I had to cover my ears a little when he sang!

americanidolconcert034.jpg

Kris was a little anticlimatic after Adam but he was still great. There is nothing like hearing him sing Heartless up close... and he was probably my favorite backstage (not counting Scott).

More to come...I'm still trying to figure out how to blur out the faces of friends that probably wouldn't want me posting them...

Another blurry shot but I still love it- he was jumping up and down.

americanidolconcert029.jpg

Scott and Matt performed a duet w/dueling pianos of Billy Joel's Tell Her About It- wonderful!

americanidolconcert039.jpg

Yet another blurry shot of Adam and Allison's duet that I just had to post because- well, there's that tongue!

americanidolconcert001.jpg

This is the only shot I have of Michael Sarver onstage- he opened the show and was really, really nice backstage.

A few backstage photos:

americanidolconcert033.jpg

Me and Scott...doesn't he look excited?

americanidolconcert063.jpg

Me and Anoop

americanidolconcert058.jpg

Me and Kris...his personality reminded my so much of my youngest son! That ugly triangle thing is the backstage pass we had to wear.

americanidolconcert032.jpg

..a better one of Scott backstage.

I have some great shots of Adam (although dark), Allison, Matt, Danny and Michael backstage as well but, unfortunately, unless I figure out a way to blur other faces I probably won't be able to post them.

It was so funny because my oldest son didn't even know I went to the concert but he ran into my friend's husband (I went with them to the concert) today and the friend showed him a picture he took of me and my friend with Adam on his camera phone. My son called me up and said, "I couldn't believe it! My mother in a photo with Adam Lambert??!! ?And he has his arm around her??!! He thought that was really funny. I told him I may be fifty but I'm not dead yet!

Ex-'Idol' contestant struck, killed by car in NJ

Courtesy TV.MSN.COM

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say a 25-year-old former two-time "American Idol" contestant has been struck and killed by a car in a New Jersey shore town.

The Asbury Park Press reports that Alexis Cohen, of Allentown, Pa., was killed early Saturday in Seaside Heights.

Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office says an autopsy indicated she suffered chest, head and abdominal injuries. Mohel says investigators are seeking more information about the collision.

Cohen auditioned in Philadelphia for the popular Fox singing competition in August 2007, and the episode was aired in January 2008. She tried out again during the show's eighth season.

A video of her angry rant after being rejected by judges went viral on the Internet.

Thanks, King!

Yeah, it was pretty cool! We were in row 12 and my camera has a pretty good zoom so it looks like we were even closer than we really were. My friend gets all the thanks for the backstage passes- it was an awesome that that I won't forget. The only thing that would've made me even happier is if the whole cast of LOST happened to be in the neighborhood and came backstage too. Then I could die a happy woman ;)
