The back to back babe eliminations sucked... If not for the Romber faction, there wouldn't be any point to continue the race...

Isn't it amazing that it took them 2.5 hours to realize they weren't going over the mountain. Duh!!!!!!!!

The clue in tonights show said to travel ______miles over the Andes to Argentina to get your next clue. Well it took them 2.5 hours to realize that they were going the wrong direction and not over the Andes but on flat terain. A pretty stupid mistake that cost them the race. That's what my post meant.

Are Bettors Tipping 'Amazing Race' Winner?

By DERRIK J. LANG, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK -

Although this is a first for both "The Amazing Race" and Sportsbook.com, this isn't the first reality TV show spoiled by online wagers. Betting was suspended for the Amazon and Pearl Island "Survivors," the second "Bachelor" and the second "Apprentice" after heavy

I would be happy for them if they won it. The way CBS is editing Amazing Race, I think Uchenna and Joyce are getting very little air time right now.

Could it be because they are the actual winners and CBS doesn't want us to connect the dots yet?

They seem like a really neat couple. I rather enjoyed watching them last night.

Uchenna/Joyce are really nice, they seem to need the money but we already have a Chip/Kim win. They remind me way too much of them and its going to really suck.

Other than them being African Americans they don't really remind me of Chip and Kim. I think they are little more careful with clues and money that Chip/Kim and maybe not as willing to help the other struggling teams as Chip did. I'm happy with them winning if it can't be Rob and Amber.

if they did work for Enron and Worldcom then they defintely need the money as those poor people lost it all --- i mean everything-- jobs/pensions/stock/they were all completly wiped out by all their top managers and ceo's

I just checked the bios and this may be old news to you but 6 of the teams are either from CA or MA. Coincidence?

Brian/Gregg (CA)

Debbie/Bianca (CA)

Lynn/Alex (CA)

Megan/Heidi (CA)

Patrick (CA)/Susan(Ohio)

Rob(MA)/Amber(PA)

I'm not a gambler, so I know little about this, but the article sure makes me think. I would imagine though that if professional bookies know they are going to lose money they would stop taking bets, so.......

I'm getting a real kick out of watching Rob and Amber operate. But although this isn't a popularity contest, Uchenna and Joyce are my personal favorites.

I am going to sound a bit harsh here but....

Did you see the home that they come from, it is a long way from poor. Also, if they were good at their jobs, they should have been able to find new ones in the amount of time since the Enron scandle. A LOT of people need money, for whatever reasons, and they don't come out saying, " I need the money more than XXX. And I want it to have Invitro" InVitro is not the only way to have kids, there are plenty of kids who need homes. Plus, why are they so focused on invitro if they don't have money? How are they going to afford a child?

There are too many questions and, of course, not enough answers. Don't get me wrong, I like them, I just don't understand the "I am poor line."

Okay, carry on...

I gonna sound a bit compassionate here but...

I think one of the hardest things that a person can do is have to start over after being fired, and even worse if it's both of them. A lot of people  that have been fired from jobs that they have held for a long time, now find themselves competing with recent college graduates at a much lower starting pay than their worth. A lot of times companys will hire the younger applicant. As far as the invitro, if they win they will be able to afford that, pay off their house and now be able to accept their lower paying jobs and start a family. Good for them!!!!!!

I agree totally, and also, since when was wealth necessary to have children?

I completely agree with you stephenv and ranster. What happened to the employees of Enron and WorldCom was just devastating. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to win the money in order to pay for in vitro. More power to them for at least knowing what they'd do with the money. And hey, provided they remember to pay the taxes on it (sorry...I couldn't resist), they can also invest it wisely. :)

I don't care what they do with the money IF they win it, that was not my point. It was the "I need to win the money because" portion of it.

I also have a lot of WorldCom friends as I worked in that industry (WAN) and with WorldCom employees. And scramble they did for new jobs when it got rough.

I do know what it is like to want a kid and not be able to have one for a VERY long time. So I do have compassion for them in that. I just would not say that this is a "need". It is a "want". A fairly expensive want. And you do need money for kids. It is not a prerequisite, obviously, but you do need some.

I am glad that the relationship is solidifying as the game has gone on. They said that that was one of the things that needed to be worked on.

Good question, Meme!

Also, has there been a non-elimination leg yet? If not, we're about due for one.

I usually do my own picks based on previous legs and ability if thats what your looking for. Its always hard to find good spoilers for TAR. Theyre usually mixed up or wrong.

Courtesy of Banzai, here are some pics that may show two teams in trouble and coming in late to the pit stop.

tar7ep04006gretchen1mn.th.jpg Meredith and Gretchen still in boat at sunset.

tar7ep04015pat4fb3jy.th.jpg Sue and Pat checking in at the Pit Stop at night.

This is in Argentina where the sun sets at 8:26 pm. Now we don't know what time the other teams came in to the Pit Stop, but evening shots usually indicate a late placement.

Well based on the pics, it looks like sunset just occured in Sue and Pats pics and in Meredith and Gretchens pic, it seems to be very dark. Im saying that Meredith and Gretchens eliminated this leg. These old folk, they seem to think theyre going to win, but they always lose out in the first few legs. Kudos to them for trying but, Id think itd be very interesting to see and older couple go to the end. Im getting tired of the young couples going to the end. The oldest couple Ive seen to make it to the end was Chip and Kim in their 40's.
