Travel Channel will air Amazing Race 12, 13, and (maybe) 14

Amazing Race 13 debuts on CBS at the end of September, but at the beginning of the month, the Travel Channel will begin broadcasting season 12 of the show in prime-time on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The Amazing Race Route Revealed

Looking to build excitement for the 13th season premiere of the globe-trotting Emmy winning show, Amazing Race, CBS has for the first time ever revealed the entire 23-day route the 11 teams will travel to.

The teams will start off in Los Angelas and will make stops in Brazil, Bolivia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, India and Russia before returning to the U.S.A to wrap up the race in Portland, Oregan.

The teams will travel more than 30,000 miles this season. The show will be hosted again by Phil Keoghan.

Watch the premiere tonight at 8 PM ET on CBS.

Episode Recap: "Bees Are Much Calmer Than All This!"

Winning its sixth consecutive Emmy award last week for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, the thirteenth premiere of The Amazing Race looks as if this season will continue to keep running without huffing and puffing. Are you ready for another whirlwind race around the world? I am. And so are the 11 teams that met up with TAR host Phil Keoghan at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. With $1 million at stake, let's see who's first out of the gate, where they're going and which team will be the first to be eliminated.

The race began with teams heading to LAX and locating the marked gates for flights on United or American Airlines taking them to Salvador, Brazil. The AA flight has a three-hour advantage and every split second counts as the teams rush to the desk to get in line for those limited available seats. Even with an hour and a half delayed layover in Rio de Janeiro the AA flight still landed before the later United flight.
