Here's a thread by Jean Robert... I haven't seen anything spoilerish on it and as he really can't say too much any way I think it's safe to read it... I will say though if you do read it you do so at your own risk...

Here are some quotes from Jean Robert from that site, just incase you don't want to go there to read, but would like to hear some of what he has to say...

Someone from casting liked my style on one of the poker shows and thought I would be an interesting character for the show. When they first approached me with the idea, I said "no way!" but I quickly realized that this was an opportunity that I should seize. Also a 1 in 16 shot at a million is far better odds than any poker tourney I've played in.

I can't answer your question regarding "jungle love" but I will definately say that there were hot girls out there.

Katie is hot. She just placed in a marathon out on the east coast.

I will be very busy this Fall but I will try to chime in from time to time. You can always message me on myspace. I will also be blogging at excellentlaydown.com

Here he is talking about the sponsorships he might get...

You hit the nail right on the head.

I almost signed a decent sponsorship deal with a big on-line group however, congress passed that damn bill just before our John Hancocks hit the paper.

Yesterday, a major player (sponsorship) told me that they would be making a significant offer just before my show airs.

I think, however, I might wait to see what other offers come my way once the show starts airing.

It would be nice to be sponsored by a mainstream group like a Red Bull or a Monster.com as opposed to an on-line poker site. Our industry needs to tap into that mainstream market so that we can start making Golf or X-treme sport sponsorship $. This thing could be great for all poker pros.

Well... I definately could use sponsorship dollars right now!

Whoever does sign me will definately reap serious benefits. Seriously, my poker resume simply is not that impressive compared to the amount of press and coverage I've had (pre-survivor). I believe that the cameras seek me out because they find me entertaining (obnoxious). I'm that guy that makes it on TV whether he earned it or not. For a sponsor, this will mean: money well spent.

With the rumors running wild at the WSOP, I thought they may have to drop me. The poker community seemed to know I was going to be on the show before I even recieved the final call.

Here he was asked if he felt he was a better poker player than Boston Rob and Richard Hatch...

I did not know Hatch was a poker player. Was he?

I'd like to spar with him.

He could probably use a real job too... but I don't see either happening. I can't believe there are grown men like him out there... the world really is a scary place!!!

Vodka and redbull?? You're a 36 year old man, not some 22 year old college girl...BOOT

Do you think he's going to be offended when no one will know or care who he is?

Jean Robert is hugely obnoxious at the card table.

Considering CBS' love affair with loud characters (see Dick)...he may have a shot!

I'm gonna root for Jean Robert...just so one day when I take him out at the casino I can say I beat a Survivor!

I see him going early. The way he's trying to "read" everybody will be his downfall. You can do it in cards, because if you read your opponent wrong, you lose the hand. In Survivor, you make a mistake, you're voted out.

I'm in total agreement with you, baron. My guess is that they will do a humorous editing job showing him saying how great he is at reading people and then, poof! his torch will be extinguished faster than he can say "large straight"! He's definitely a legend in his own mind...

He's too busy "reading" and not working, if I "read" the previews correctly.

Har har har

Dick had America's Player working with America to help him out.

This guy in no way would America care whether he stayed or got the boot.

But, if I had to vote...I vote boot!

Here's a bulletin Jean-Robert sent out on myspace...

It looks like Aaron my team leader will be confronting me for not pulling my share of the workload... Lol. It looks to be an entertaining episode tonight... Please enjoy my embarassing moments. Survivor airs Thurs at 8pm.
