Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 22 Episode 8

We start tonight's Dancing With The Stars with a video clip. The judges said the Semi-Finals are just 2 shows away. The announcer welcomes us to the ballroom. The professional dancers are dancing.

 

Tom says the dance was choreographed by Mandy Moore. Tom & Erin welcome the remaining couples to the ballroom.

 

Tom says it's going to be an intense two rounds of dancing tonight. Erin says that the men verses women team dances made a dramatic difference in the scores. Tom says, Nyle & Peta are safe.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Nyle & Peta. Tom says, they will dance their Paso Doble with a sound of silence when we come back, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, later in the show they will have the Judge's Challenge, & they are nervous. Nyle & Peta are dancing their Paso Doble to Victorious by Panic! At The Disco. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing, the entire ballroom goes silent during part of their dance to see what Nyle hears when they are dancing. The audience really erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, that was very dramatic for them in the ballroom. Len says, he thinks they needed a little bit more shaping on the body on occasion. The audience boos. He says, he wasn't going to mention that he strutted out too much. The audience boos again. Len says, he will give them more if they keep booing. He says, they came out with style & confidence. He tells Nyle he's amazing. Bruno says, that was mind-blowing, & Nyle has a special power. He says, it was like watching 5 men dancing to the beat of a single heart. He says, it's Dancing With The Stars Classic that no one will forget. Carrie Ann says, she thought it was fierce, then he went into the silent mode. She is holding back her tears. She says, it touched her so profoundly. She thanked him for the the gift of letting her experience the dance as he does each week. They go to the Sky Box for their scores. Tom tells the viewers to make sure they get their votes in for their favorites.

 

Erin says, she has goosebumps, her arm hair has stopped & now she is going to cry. She says, Bruno is right, that was such a classic move on Dancing With The Stars. Nyle says, he wanted to invite the audience & viewers into his world of being deaf. Peta has tears in her eyes, & is glad they were able to show that tonight. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 9, Bruno - 10, for a total of 29. Bruno says, there's no confusion, he wrote it down himself! They are soo happy with the scores. Erin says, that was so special. Nyle says, he honored & relived. Erin says, she needs a second. Tom says, they will reveal more results for the next dance. We see a short video clip from this week, before going to commercial break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom for more results. Erin says, they can tell the next three couples whether they are safe or in jeopardy. Tom says, the next couple who is safe is Paige & Mark. Erin says, the first couple in jeopardy is Jodie & Keo. The audience boos. Tom tells Antonio & Sharna they are also in jeopardy. The audience boos again. Erin tells them they are up next. Tom says, what you just want to hear after being told you are in jeopardy.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Antonio & Sharna. They are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Love On The Brain by Rihanna. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing. The audience really erupts for them when they are finished. An audience member has a "Terrible Towel" from his professional football team.

 

Bruno says, it's so good to see his Antonio back, dashing, classy, loving & romantic. He says, he paid attention to detail in everything. He says, he can be taught. Carrie Ann says, he's the last football player in this competition, & tonight it is true dancing. She says, his extra practice this week really helped, but he still had an issue with his shoulders. Len says, he had a little posture issue, but he had a will to win. He compliments Antonio's footwork. He says, that's more yes than no, Antonio. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin tells Antonio that he still had his smile, even when they told him he's in jeopardy. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 9, Bruno - 9, for a total of 27. Erin says, they seem really happy about that. Sharna says, very happy, they really worked on the details, & that's the difference to help their scores. Erin tells everyone to get their votes. Bindi Irwin takes them out to commercial, & says, they are coming right back, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. We see highlights from this week for Jodie & Keo. They are dancing the Jive to Something's Got A Hold On Me by Christina Aguilera. The audience claps & cheers for them while they dance, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, "Wow, I don't get goosebumps often, but I have them now." Carrie Ann says, first of all, Keo is never holding her back, she's the bomb. She tells Keo that was an incredible creation. She says, that was her best dance ever. Len tells Keo that was a great routine. He tells Jodie that she's grown & flown. He says, no dance has made him this happy. Bruno says, oh yes, baby, rejoice, Hallelujah. He says, it was a creative force. He tells them they should be proud of themselves. He tells them they did one of the most euphoric jives. He can't believe that he just said that. Tom tells them to stay right there. He says, we will get their scores after the break, live.

 

Erin welcomes us back to the ballroom, with Jodie & Keo in the Sky Box. She tells Jodie she just did an amazing Jive. Jodie says, she poured everything she had on that dance floor. She thanks Keo. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 10, Bruno - 10, for a total of 30. Jodie says, "Mom, I did it." Erin says, she needs a tissue from wardrobe or make-up, while Jodie is jumping up & down, screaming, "Yes, yes."

 

Tom says, he just likes seeing everyone happy. We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Paige & Mark. They are dancing a Viennese Waltz to Stone Cold by Demi Lovato. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, that was great, it was great. Len says, in hold, she had her head a little to the left, which made her shoulder come up a little bit. The audience boos. He says, she's a terrific dancer. Bruno says, it was both chilling & thrilling. He says, he loves that Mark pushes the boundaries all the time. He likes how he had the frozen moments in the dance. He says, it's very hard to do & he did an incredible job. Carrie Ann says, she was impressed by the dance. She says, there are so many dimensions to what they are doing. She says, Paige is higher in her mind now. Tom says, he's not the whitest guy in the room, referring to their make-up. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin says, she would love to be in a masterpiece that Mark does. Paige says, she loves doing this, because she used to being in sweat pants. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 9, Bruno - 9, for a total of 28. Erin says, it was a wonderful job. Erin tells everyone they get 6 votes per phone line. She says, Bindi wants to take her job now, jokingly. We see highlights from the judges talking about each other, before we go to commercial break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. Tom says, the next couple who is safe is Ginger & Val. Erin says, Wayna & Lindsay, you are in jeopardy.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Ginger & Val. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Telephone by Lady Gaga Featuring Beyonce. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, Bruno was going crazy during their dance. Bruno asks what she's doing to him. He says she's a tantalizing temptress. She says, there was intertwining of limbs. Carrie Ann says, it was mind blowing. She says, it was yummy, yummy, yummy honey. She says, they were really dancing as one. She says, the shaping was evenly matched. She says, it was amazing. Len says, what he loved was the fast, slow, fire, ice. He says, that was one hell of a dance. Tom says, last week may not have been their only perfect night. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin says, she can't do the eyebrow thing because she got Botox. She asks Ginger how she is doing? She says, her husband, Ben, wants to see her, because she's soo hot. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 10, Bruno -10, for a total of 30. Ginger's husband is screaming. Val says, he's so proud of her, they are a team & they are a partnership. Erin tells Ginger to keep her dress forever. Tom says, absolutely. Tom says, there will be more after the break, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to wrap up the first round. We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Wanya & Lindsay. They are dancing the Jive to Can You Do This by Aloe Blacc. The audience claps & cheers for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, how the West was won. Tom asks if they are o.k.? Lindsay says, it was her bandanna that tripped him. Carrie Ann says, there was more than just the bandanna, & told her not to worry about that. She says, they exude confidence. She tells Wanya she wants to see him on the edge a little more if they come back next week. She says, he seems to be in his comfort zone. Len says, it's the Quarter Finals shoot-out, & he's come out guns blazing. He says, he has his own little way, which he loves to watch. He says, the timing was off at one point, but it was a great number. Bruno says, what he liked was the kicking & jumping like a wild pony at a rodeo. He says, it was so enjoyable, even though there were a few mistakes. He says, it was energized. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin asks Wanya what was going on? He says, he slipped out of time, but it's all good. Lindsay is crying because of the bandanna. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 9, for a total of 25. Erin says, the good news is that 4 points is coming in the next round for these two. Tom says, Jodie & Keo and Ginger & Val are tied for the lead. He says, the team dancers are about to square off. We see a little bit of this weeks practice with the judges before going to commercial break.

 

We come back to Dancing With The Stars with professional dancers dancing. Tom tells everyone to log on to Dancing With The Stars Facebook page to vote live for the next dances if you are watching live in the Eastern & Central Time Zones.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Team Bruno, Nyle & Peta and Jodie & Keo. They are dancing The Argentine Tango. The audience & Bruno go crazy for them when they are done. Bruno says, you got it kids. Len says, he loves the concept, Bruno's bravery having the two couples switched. He thought it was incredible with Nyle & Jodie dancing together. He says, it was a terrific job. Carrie Ann says, Brunooooo, yeah, I know you, always taking risks. She says, it was not an easy dance. She says, the strength was really impressive all the way through. She says, they were like a super sexy version of the Rockets. They go to the Sky Box for their scores. Tom says, judging is over for this dance.

 

Bruno says, he couldn't tell who the professionals & the celebrities were, because they all danced 110 percent. He says, they are the ideal partners to work with. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 10, America - 9, for a total of 29. Erin is shocked by America's vote. Bruno says, he's happy. He tells Erin that if she puts something in front of him he'll eat it. Tom says, Bruno is like the Anchorman of Dancing With The Stars. We see a video of Len's white feet getting a spray tan to match his tanned legs, before going to commercial break.

 

We see behind the scenes during a commercial break. Tom says, the judge's team up challenge will continue here on ABC.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the second dance of the judge's team up challenge. He says, it's another opportunity to vote.

 

We see highlights for Team Len, Wanya & Lindsay and Ginger & Val. They are dancing the Samba. The audience & Len go crazy for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom tells them they did a great job. Carrie Ann says, all hail the Great Len. She says, they didn't need him. She says, she hopes the little slips don't keep them from moving on. Bruno says, Len is the king of the jungle. He says, that was Sambalicious. He says, Ginger had her hips moving, & she's found the sex appeal, & can't stop it. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom says, the viewers have one more chance to be a judge tonight.

 

Len says, they wanted to go out & have fun. Val says, they were allowed to do that since Len wasn't judging. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Bruno - 10, America - 9, for a total of 29. Erin says, Len is not happy with America's voting. Len says, we get what we get. Len says, from now on everyone gets a 10 from him. Tom says, the hat that Len has on reminds him of what Carrot Top will look like years from now.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Team Carrie Ann, Antonio & Sharna and Paige & Mark. Tom says, Team Carrie Ann's team will perform their Paso Doble next, & one team will be eliminated, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, so far Team Bruno & Team Len are tied. Team Carrie Ann is dancing their Paso Doble. The audience & Carrie Ann are going crazy for them when they are finished. Tom tells everyone to dry off on towels that are on the floor, from them getting wet at the end of their dance.

 

Bruno says, he loved every second of it. He says, it was jam packed & had great creativity. Len says, it was terrific. He says, carry on Carrie Ann. Carrie Ann says, she's really proud of them. She said it was really hard to put together. Judge's scores: Len - 10, Bruno - 10, America - 9, for a total of 29. Tom says, America was the toughest judge of all. He tells viewers to continue to vote for their favorite couples.

 

Tom says, the next couple who is safe, & is definitely dancing in the Semi-Finals is Antonio & Sharna. Tom says, that means one of the two remaining couples has the lowest viewer votes & scores combined. Tom says, Jodie & Keo and Wanya & Lindsay, it's going to be tough to say goodbye to one of these couples. The couple leaving right now is Jodie & Keo. The audience boos. Erin says, they are leaving on such a note. She says, it was such a wonderful night for her. Jodie says, she can't ask for a better week to go out on, with a week of perfect 10's. She says, she starts filming on Fuller House tomorrow, so she will be going to work. She thanks Keo for everything. Tom recaps the phone numbers of the remaining couples, for the viewers to call in & vote.

 

Tom says, Ginger & Val are at the top of the Leaderboard with 59. Erin says, Wanya & Lindsay are at the bottom with 54. Tom says, the Semi-Finals are next week, & it will be a double elimination. He says, he will see us all next Monday at 8 p.m. Easter/7 p.m. Central. He says, goodnight.
