Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 22 Episode 6

The announcer welcomes us to Famous Dances Night on Dancing With The Stars. Professional dancers dance to Putting On The Ritz in the ballroom. The audience cheers & claps along with them while they are dancing.

 

Tom says that was choreographed by Mandy Moore. He & Erin welcome everyone to tonight's Dancing With The Stars Famous Dances Night. Tom & Erin welcome the remaining couples to the ballroom. Tom says, the dancers are back to their original partners after last week's Swith-Up.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Kim & Sasha. Kim has stress fractures in both of her ankles from the competition so far. Tom says, they will do their dance when we return, live.

 

We return to Dancing With The Stars with Tom in the Master Control Room. Tom jokingly tells one of the guys to stop yelling, because he's hosting. Kim & Sasha are dancing the Jive to You Can't Stop The Beat by Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, & Elijah Kelley, from the movie Hairspray. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, that's incredible. Len says, he's happy, & it was a terrific way to open the show, well done. Bruno says, he was dancing the whole way through. Kim gives him a hug. Carrie Ann tells Kim she's one to watch. She says, she's so consistent that it scares her. She tells her she doesn't want her to disappear in the background. She says, her energy was just a hair under for this routine. The audience boos. She tells her there were some mistakes, & she's telling her this because of the score she will give her. Bruno calls Carrie Ann Max. Tom jokingly says, this is what happens when you go to the wet bar before the show. Kim & Sasha go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno -8, for a total of 24. Sasha says, they take the critic & work harder for next week. He is jumping around, with his hands waiving. Tom says, it has been a week of behind the scenes drama. We see some video from this week, & then go to commercial.

 

We come back to the ballroom with the judges dancing to Footloose. Tom holds up a 4 paddle for their dancing.

 

We see highlights & practices sessions from this week for Von & Witney. They are dancing a Jazz to Bad by Michael Jackson. The audience cheers & claps for them while they dance, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, we see a little Michael Jackson action, & he tells them they did a good job. Tom wanted to see his reaction hop again. Bruno says, don't mess with the boss, that was bad ass. He tells him he had the Jackson shuffle well done. He says, the key of it was hitting those moves like lighting, & just a couple of times he didn't do it. He says, overall he did a fantastic job. Carrie Ann says, she can tell he was a bit nervous in the beginning, & he embodied him. He tells him that he had his own spin on it. She says, there's only one King of Pop, may he Rest In Piece. She tells him he was on it. Tom says, today is Len's birthday. Len says, it's not Thriller Miller, it's Bad, but not in a bad way. He tells them they did very good. Tom sends them to the Red Room, but they head to the Sky Box. Tom stops them to redirect them.

 

Erin tells Von he did great. She asks him to do his favorite move from the dance, & he does. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 8, for a total of 24. Erin tells the viewers to make sure to get their votes in to keep their favorite couples in the competition. Tom says, there are more famous dances to come. We see a few clips from the week, & then go to commercial.

We come back to the ballroom with professional dancers dancing the Can-Can. Tom welcomes us back to Famous Dances Night.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Jodie & Keo. Jodie hurt her nose & her her foot this week during practices. They are dancing a Contemporary to Try by Pink. The audience cheers & claps for them while they dance, & they really erupt for them when they are finished. They are on their feet for them.

 

Tom says, WOW! He says, the audience started clapping for them even before they started for her determination. Carrie Ann says, that was a very hard routine to watch. She says, it was dynamic, artistic, & beautiful. She says, they seem stronger together than ever. She says, there was a danger factor. Len says, it had that confrontational feel about it, & they performed it very well. She says, there was a little struggle getting into the lift, well done. Bruno says, incredibly demanding. He says, even a professional dancer would find it really really hard to reproduce that dance. He says, they nearly gave him a heart attack. He says, they pulled it off, & he gives them credit for that. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Jodie tells Erin this was a dance that was so powerful, full of highs & lows, & she wanted to just go out there & do it. She says, they worked their tails off this week through pain & whatever came. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 8, Bruno - 8, for a total of 25. Erin asks Jodie if that makes her foot feel better? Jodie says, yes, much better. Erin tells the audience to get their votes in for their favorite couples to keep them in the competition. Tom says, there are more iconic dances coming up. He says, we'll be right back, live.

 

We come back to Dancing With The Stars with everyone in the ballroom singing Happy Birthday to Len. He even has a birthday cake.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Paige & Mark. They are dancing a Jazz to Soul Bossa Nova by Quincy Jones from the movie Austin Powers. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Len asks if they really want to know what he thinks? Paige tells him Happy Birthday. Len says, there is nothing about that dance that he didn't like. Bruno says, they were really brought back to the Swinging 60's. He says, it was the accuracy of the stylistic details. He says, he loved it. Carrie Ann says, it is by far one of her favorite dances. She says, the choreographer is all about the details, & they were all on it. She says, the additional moves & their spin on it were well. done. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin tells them that was amazing. Mark says, they had something different at the beginning of the week, & they were 2 days behind starting this dance. She has them do some moves from the dance. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 10, Bruno - 9, for a total of 28. Erin says, Len must have given them the 10 for his birthday cake. Tom says, they need to give him cake more often. Tom says, there are more dances to come, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with professional dancers dancing a Jive to Putting On The Ritz. We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Nyle & Peta. They are dancing a Quickstep to Hey Pachuco! by Royal Crown Revue from the movie The Mask. The audience is cheering & clapping for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them & are on their feet when they are finished.

 

Tom says, he's making it look easy being green. Tom says, WOW, you guys, & the audience is still going. Tom says, as far as they know it's still Nyle under the mask. Bruno says, he loves the explosive, off the wall antics. He says, he maintained the Quickstep throughout the dance. He says, they lost it a couple times, but it was incredible. Carrie Ann says, it's really hard to dance in a mask like that. Tom asks Carrie Ann if she's danced in a mask before? She says, that's for her to know. She tells Nyle his frame was really broken, & he needs to watch that. The audience boos. She says, the dance got away from him, because it was a little fast. Len says, the performance was terrific, & he always amazes him. He says, he gives him critiques about the dance. He tells him he's not as good as Val. The audience boos. Tom says, he had his sugar high, & now it's his sugar crash (referring to Len). They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin says, it's fantastic, but she's not judging the show. Nyle says, it was a lot to handle with the mask & everything, but he will get better. Erin says, he had to shave his beard for the mask. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 9, for a total of 25. Peta says, the scores are amazing. Nyle takes his teeth out for everyone to see them. Tom says, they will be right back, live.

 

We briefly see behind the scenes of Dancing With The Stars during the commercial break. Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom in the Sky Box with Erin & Jodie.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions from this week for Ginger & Val. They are dancing a Jazz to Nasty by Janet Jackson. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, he would pay good money to see her do the weather like that. Carrie Ann says that was a lot of fun. She says, she was so well-rehearsed. She says she would like to see a little more. She says, she almost owned it, but didn't get it all. Len says, it was clean & precise, but lacked a little attitude on occasion. He says, it was clean, not nasty. Bruno says, it was Janet in the clean version. He stands up & says, as Janet she has to punch it more. He demonstrates with Val. Tom jokingly tells he'll be there is he chooses to get a restraining order against Bruno. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin tells Ginger that she looked very Jay Lo. Val says, her husband was making all that noise. Ginger says, she wanted to come out & punch it, & to hear that she didn't do it fully, she's a little disappointed. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 8, for a total of 24. Val tells Ginger she was amazing. He tells Len Happy Birthday. Tom says, a spousal 10 over there (from Ginger's husband). Tom says, there is more dancing to come, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. We see highlights for Doug & Karina from this week. They are dancing Bollywood to Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny) by A.R. Rahman & They Pussycat Dolls Featuring Nicole Scherzinger from the movie Slumdog Millionaire. The audience cheers & claps for them as they dance, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, it looked like they were having fun. Doug says, they were. Len says, from Hollywood to Bollywood & it was great fun. Bruno says, it will stay on his head forever, because of all the steps that were put in the dance. He says, it's everything he wanted. Carrie Ann says, that was by far her favorite number that he's ever done. She says, he's not doing paint by number anymore. She says, he was a little backwards from everyone the way he was doing some of the moves. She says, he's having a great time, truly, & that's what this is all about. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin tells them the Bollywood dancing was really fun to watch. She says, she's never seen Karina clothed this much before, but it's fantastic. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Bruno - 7, for a total of 21. The audience boos. Karina says, when she saw him he was on point. She says, it was the first time they have done this dance, & they will watch it back. Tom says there is more dancing to come when they come back, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom to see highlights & practice sessions for Wanya & Lindsay. They are dancing a Jazz to Bye Bye Bye by NSYNC. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom tells them they are getting well-deserved hugs all around. The audience is still going. Tom says, somebody got his mojo back. Bruno that was as polished as Kim Khardashians face. He says, it was really pop. He says, he's right there, nothing is missing. Carrie Ann says this boy is on fire. She says, that was amazing. She says, he brought the stuff. She says, she's never seen him be in it, on top of it & around it before. Len says, he's just taken a great step forward to the finals. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Tom says, it's a great night all the way around. Joey Fatone from NSYNC is there, & says, it was amazing someone from Boyz 2 Men performing one of their songs. Lance Bass says he did an amazing job, & he's holding up a 10 paddle. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 9, Bruno - 10, for a total of 29. Erin says, it's the highest score of the season. Joey is being dramatic. Erin asks him how he put up with this? Lance says, a lot of valium a lot of valium (jokingly).

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Antonio & Sharna from this week. Tom says, they will dance their Footloose Jive when we come back, & then one couple will be eliminated, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. Antonio & Sharna are dancing the Jive to Footloose by Kenny Loggins. The audience cheers & slaps for them while they are dancing, & they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, this team is tight! Tom hurries them over to him. Carrie Ann says, that's the way to bring the house down at the end of this incredible night. She says, he made a mistake at the beginning, but he killed it. Len says, there's only 4 weeks to go in this competition & it's anyone's guess who will win. Bruno tells him he's proven tonight that he's a leading man. He tells him he has it all, & hard work pays off. Tom says, a positive attitude can amplify, & they proved that this week. Judge's scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 9, Bruno - 9, for a total of 27. Tom says, it's their highest score of the season. Tom tells viewers to get their votes in, & has them join everyone else.

 

Tom says, the first couple who is in jeopardy is Paige & Mark. The audience boos. Erin says, also in jeopardy are Doug & Karina. The audience boos again. Tom says, & joining them in jeopardy are Von & Witney. The audience boos for a third time. Erin says, the remaining couple are safe, & will all be back next week. Tom says, one of these three couples has the lowest votes from the past two weeks. Tom says, the couple leaving right now is Doug & Karina.

 

Erin tells Doug that she's known him for a very long time & didn't think she would get him on the show. He says, it's been an unbelievable experience. The audience stars chanting Flute.  Tom tells him he had a great dance tonight. He says, they will be on GMA tomorrow. Tom recaps the phone numbers for the viewers to call to get their votes in. Tom says, Wanya & Lindsay are at the top of the leaderboard with 29. There are 3 couples tied at the bottom of the leaderboard with 24. Tom says, there is a double elimination next week, & the team dances will be the men verses the women. Tom tells everyone to watch an all new Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.
