Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 22 Episode 2

The announcer welcomes us to tonight's Latin Night on Dancing With The Stars. Professional dancers are in the ballroom to open tonight's episode. Tom says, another grueling day at the office. He welcomes us to tonight's show. Erin says, based on what she's seen during rehearsals we are in for a sizzling night. They introduce the competing couples to the ballroom.

 

Tom & Erin let us know that one couple will be eliminated tonight based on scores & last weeks viewer votes. We see highlights & practice sessions for Jodie & Keo.

 

Jodie & Keo are dancing the Samba to Burn Up The Dance by Dillon Francis & Skrillex. The audience claps along as they dance, & they explode for them when they are finished. Tom says, Good start my dear to Jodie.

 

Len tells Jodie she didn't need the flames, that dance was hot enough. He tells her to watch her legs a little bit. He tells her she did better than last week & it was great! Bruno tells her that she shouldn't doubt herself during the performance because she will start to rethink thinks. He tells her she was hot. Carrie Ann says she was way more in the zone this week, & she is a great dancer. She tells her not to tense up, because it shows. She tells her she's incredible, & to keep it up. Jodie says, it's a little nerve racking to go first, but she's happy. Tom says, Jodie & Keo will find out their scores, live in the sky box when we return.

Erin welcomes us back to Latin Night. She is in the sky box with Jodie & Keo. She says her shoes are killing her. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Bruno - 7, for a total of 21. Erin says, she thinks they were worried about what Len was going to do. Erin asks Keo how he's feeling about tonight's elimination? Keo says, he feels good. He tells everyone to go out there & enjoy it, in case it's their last time out there.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Marla & Tony. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Don't by Ed Sheeran. The audience erupts for them when they are done. Tom says, that was a great act for amino acid.

 

Bruno tells Marla he thinks she flushed him, but he's getting over it. He says, he did like what he saw, & her body is maintained to perfection. He says, he wants her to flaunt what she has. She agrees. Carrie Ann says, she doesn't think she needs to get down with every dance. She tells her that she is elegant, & it suited her perfectly. She says, she wants to see a little more angle & elongating. She said she nailed it perfectly. Len says, the Argentine Tango is a dance of intimacy & seduction. He says, it was polished to perfection, & she gave it what she had. He said it was great. They go to the sky box for their scores.

 

Erin asks Marla if Tony has picked up on any of her healthy habits? Tony says, he hasn't & Marla orders some crazy things when they go out. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 6, Bruno - 7, for a total of 20. Erin says, Len needs some more intimacy. Erin tells the viewer to get their votes in if they want their favorite couples to stay in the competition. Tom says, there will be more dancing to come with the stars when we return, live.

 

We return to the ballroom with professional dancers dancing. We see highlights & practice sessions for Geraldo & Edyta for this week. They are dancing a Salsa to Ran Can Can by Tito Puente. The audience erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, he couldn't help but notice that Cheech is in the audience. Carrie Ann says, she was entertained. She says, his shirt brings some style & sass, & she loved it. She says, there was improvement. Len says, there's a word in the dictionary that describes this, & it's trumpery. He tells him he's the type of person that's great on Dancing With The Stars with no dancing experience, & he says, he salutes him. Bruno says, he had plenty of bravado, but he's not sure what the content was. He says, it was impressive for all the wrong reasons. Geraldo talks about the Donald & Melania theme. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 5, Len - 4, Bruno - 4, for a total of 13. Tom says, viewers need to vote, & there will be more to come, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to tonight's Dancing With The Stars. He says, it will be this seasons first elimination of the season. Mark Ballas was hurt in yesterday's rehearsal, so Paige is dancing with Alan tonight. They are dancing a Salsa to Danza Kuduro (Feat. Lucenzo) by Don Omar, Lucenzo. The audience erupts for them when they are done. Tom says, "WOW!"

 

Tom says, in all the years of doing the show he admires the professionalism of the professional dancers. Len says, well done to Mark, Alan & Paige. He tells Paige she has done the best dance on the show this season so far. Bruno says, it was energy combined with her great sense & ease of movement. He tells her just to watch getting ahead of the music because she wants it so much. Carrie Ann says, Bruno is right that she rushed a little bit in the beginning. She tells her she destroyed that number. She says, she is full out & so powerful in every movement. Tom sends them to the sky box for their scores. He tells her to go & give Mark a hug.

 

Erin asks Mark what his status is? Mark says, he had an MRI today, & he will get a bone scan & CTI scan tomorrow to make sure everything will be o.k. Paige says, she pulled herself together to make sure they could do the best dance possible tonight. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 8, for a total of 24. Erin says, this is the highest score of the night so far. Alan says, it was an honor to step in for Mark to help her get the best score so far this season. He says, he's sorry that Mark got hurt. Erin says, you get 12 votes per phone line this season, & tells everyone to get their votes in.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Antonio & Sharna. Tom says, we will see them dance a Rumba after the break, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to tonight's Dancing With The Stars Latin Night. Antonio & Sharna dance a Rumba to Adorn by Miguel. The audience erupts for them when they finish dancing.

 

Bruno says, he wants to see continuous movement when he dances. Carrie Ann says, he didn't provide a strong enough frame for Sharna because his feet were shuffling. She calls him out of the lift, & not keeping Sharna's foot on the ground. The audience boos. Len says, he is a dancer, & it will come through. He says, he needs to get a little more finesse in the dance, & he will be good. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin tells Antonio he doesn't need coaching because that was flat out sexiness. She tells him he was booming. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 6, Bruno - 7, for a total of 19. Erin says, the audience isn't booming, they are booing. She asks Sharna what they will do for next week? Sharna says, they will get it together & come back strong.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Kim & Sasha. They are dancing a Salsa to Conga by Gloria Estefan. The audience cheers along as they dance. They erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, very nice, & calls them over to him. Tom says, Gloria was watching. Carrie Ann tells Kim she kind of got stuck on the choreography a little bit. Kim says, she did, but she's o.k. Carrie Ann tells her not to make faces & just do her. She tells her she has Tina Turner legs & Beyonce energy. She says, she does have to take off for the mistake though. Len says, there was a mistake, but otherwise it was well done. Bruno tells her she shakes her touchy like the best. He tells her to keep going on, & cover up the mistakes. He says, he hopes she will be back next week, because they have so much to offer. They will get their scores after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with professional guys on the dance floors. Erin welcomes us back to the ballroom in the sky box with Kim & Sasha. Erin tells her she loves Carrie Ann's comment. Sasha tells Erin that Kim looked soo soo hot. Erin says, she hopes they make it to next week for the Most Memorable Year episode. Kim says, she will do something about The Facts of Life. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 6, Bruno - 6, for a total of 19. Erin says, if you want Tootie to make an appearance next week, they need to get their votes in. Noah Galloway is making an appearance in the ballroom tonight as a guest.

 

We see highlights for Nyle & Peta. They are dancing the Rumba to Stole The Show by Kygo Feat. Parson James. The audience erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Len says, there was a massive lift on that stage, & it was a proper lift. He says, he can't accept that, & it was all to hectic. The audience boos. He says, Rumba is a very slow dance, & they need to calm it down. He says, less is more. Bruno says, tuned in & turned on with spine-tingling intensity. He tells Peta she needs to teach him not to break the hand, & to finish the dance. He says, it's very very difficult without hearing the music. Tom tells him he needs to stop now, or they will run over. Carrie Ann says, she thinks it was stunning. She says, tempo wise he was fantastic. She says, he was a little to strong for the tone of the song. She says, there was a lift. Tom says, the judges are all over the place on this. Tom asks how she teaches him? She says, they have a bunch of different cues, & she explains they get him through. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 6, Bruno - 7, for a total of 20. Tom says, in order for them to stay in the competition the viewers have to vote. He says, more Latin Night dances coming up.

 

Erin goes back stage to show us what's going on. She says, they are getting ready for Mischa & Artem's Cha Cha, & they will be live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with professional dancers dancing. We see highlights & practice sessions for Mischa & Artem. They are dancing the Cha Cha to singers in the ballroom singing Pata Pata by Miriam Makeba.

 

Tom asks Mischa what Artem was saying to her before tonight’s dance? She says, Artem was telling her to have fun with the song, because she was having a hard time hearing the song. Bruno says, that's what happened. He tells her it will go better next time. Carrie Ann says, they saw more of her personality, & she looked adorable. She says, people want to lift them up, & that's what she loves about the show. She says, she commends her for the improvement that she did see. Len says, her nerves get the better of her, & he says she was a little bit off time, but she gave it a go. Tom says, much better reviews than last week. They go to the sky box for their scores.

 

Tom tells us that a runner that was hurt 3 years ago is in the ballroom, & she will be running again in this year’s Boston Marathon. Mischa says, it was harder to do things when the live band was there tonight. Erin says, there were parts that she looked fantastic. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 5, Len - 5, Bruno - 5, for a total of 15. Erin says, the first elimination will happen at the end of tonight's show. She tells viewers if they want their favorite dancers to stay in, they need to get their votes in.

 

Tom welcomes us back to tonight's Latin Night. He has an apron on that says, "Tom's Taco's." He says, this is what happens when he misses Production Meetings. We see highlights & practice sessions for Von & Witney. They are dancing the Cha Cha to Ain't Too Cool by LunchMoney Lewis. The audience cheers along while they dance, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom asks Witney how much money she has made off Von so far for her charging him for being late & farting. She says, $1,500, & it's all going to charity. Carrie says, he had some great moments, but he was dancing a little too small. Len says, it was tasty in places, but some funny bits were going on. He says, good job, well done. Bruno says, the magic Von is getting soo large. He says, some things get lost in translation. He tells Witney not to let him drown the dance with his personality. He tells Von he did a good job. They go to the sky box for their scores.

 

Erin says, she would take the Barbie Drill Sergeant comment anytime. Von says, he pays a whole lot more in the locker room for farting. He says, the starting rate is $500. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 6, Bruno - 7, for a total of 20. Erin says, it's 1 point better than Antonio. She tells Von that Antonio said he was a lot better than him in his package. Tom says, more routines are on the way. They are live, & are coming right back.

 

We see a sneak peek during the commercials again. The announcer says, "More live performances are coming up on Dancing With The Stars."

 

Tom welcomes us back to tonight's Dancing With The Stars. We see highlights & practice sessions for Wanya & Lindsay. They are dancing a Salsa to Echa Pa'lla (Manox Pa'rriba) by Pitbull. The audience cheers & claps along while they dance, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom tells then they did a great job. Lindsay thanks him. Len says, it was full of rhythm & he's full of praise. He's says, it was a great job. Bruno says, smooth hips, it was a great job. Carrie Ann says, he's the king of the ballroom tonight. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom says, next week is the Most Memorable episode, & in two weeks it's going to be Disney Night in the ballroom.

 

Erin says, Wanya has lost 15 lbs. already. He says, his goal is just to look like a dancer. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Bruno - 8, for a total of 24. Erin says, they are tied for the highest score of the night. She tells the viewers that one couple will be eliminated tonight, & to get their votes in. Tom says, we will be back, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. We see highlights & practices sessions for Doug & Karina. They are dancing the Paso Doble to Buster Voodoo by Rodrigo Y Gabriela. The audience claps & cheers for the while they are dancing, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

The audience chants when they are finished. Tom tells Doug, his daughter gave him great advice. Bruno says, it was like watching Spartacus & the dancing gladiators. He tells him he needs his hips forward, but it was very good. Carrie Ann says, Doug Flutie is in the game. She says, he was owning every move, & it was well done. Len says, it had attack, purpose & it was better than last week. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin asks Dough if he ever would hear that he needs to keep his hips forward? He says, no. He says, he's getting comforter with the atmosphere. He says, it's fantastic having Karina as a coach. He says, she's hard at times, but it's great. Erin asks if Karina is stressed about the elimination tonight? She says, they did all they could do, it's up to America. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 6, Bruno - 7, for a total of 20. Erin asks if he likes the scores? He says, yes, they just need to improve each week. Then he says, he needs to keep improving. Erin says, she is o.k. They laugh.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Ginger & Val. Tom says, they will rap up the show with their dance when we come back, & then one couple will be sent home, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, they are back with the final dance of the night. Ginger & Val are dancing a Samba to Sorry by Justin Bieber. The audience cheers for them while they dance, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, swagtastic. Carrie Ann says, she loves that she was trying to find her inner sexiness. She says, there was a bit of a slip up, but it didn't show in her face. She applauds her for that. Len says, he's not a big fan of the flowers & stuff, but once they got into it they did great. He says, he loves seeing the steps he recognizes in the routines, & they did that. Bruno says, Ginger is always fare weather. He says, she brings on the best. Tom says, he hears she sings to her baby. She says, she sings that song to her baby to go to sleep. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Bruno - 7, for a total of 21. Tom asks if that feels right? Ginger says, that feels great. They join the other couples on the walkway.

 

Tom says, the first couple that is in jeopardy is Mischa & Artem. Erin says, and joining them are Geraldo & Edyta. Tom says, also in jeopardy are Doug & Karina. Tom says, they are tonight's bottom three. Erin says, guess what? The rest of the couples are safe. Tom says, let's get to the final results of the night.

 

They go through each of the bottom three couples. Tom says, Doug & Karina, Geraldo & Edyta, Mischa & Artem, the first couple to be eliminated this season is Geraldo & Edyta. They hug each other. Erin says, she loved having Edyta back, she missed her legs. Erin says, Geraldo was great, & asks him what he learned from her? He says, she was amazing & if he didn't get eliminated tonight, he would have demanded a recount. Tom says, it was great having them here. He tells the viewers to get their votes in. Erin says, they will be back live next Monday, with the Most Memorable episode. Tom says, they will be on GMA tomorrow morning, & Jimmy Kimmel Live will be on later tonight. Erin says, bye.
