Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 21 Episode 11

Tonight’s Dancing With The Stars opens with the remaining stars talking about their dancing experiences & the fact that it’s the Quarter Finals.

 

The announcer welcomes us to Dancing With the Stars, Live. Tom says, it’s Live. Erin says, there are going to be show stopping routines. Tom & Erin introduce the remaining couples to the ballroom.

 

Tom says, less than half of the stars have made it to this point. Tom says, Tamar is not there right, she’s been taken to the hospital. He doesn’t know if she will make it back in time to compete tonight. Erin says, you have to love Live TV. Tom says, they don’t know what’s going on with Tamar at the moment, hopefully they know something soon.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alek & Lindsay. They are dancing Salsa to Back It Up by Prince Royce Featuring Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull. The audience cheers along with them, & really cheers for them when they are finished.

 

Julianne says, the good news is the wax paid off & it looks good. She says, it was a great way to open the show. She says, the bad news is he had an issue with his hips towards the end with just stepping & not using the hip action. She says, fix it for next week if he’s still there. Bruno says, he’s been pimped & he has swagger like in Miami Vice.

 

Tom laughs & tries to explain what Miami Vice is. Bruno says, it was great to see Alek in character & play with the girl. He tells Alek to work on the fluidity of his hips. Carrie Ann says, she’s proud of him & he’s come far. She says, it takes a lot of balls to come out like he did. She says, the dance just didn’t come together like it should. The audience boos. She tells him there wasn’t enough hip action & the footwork was off. Tom says, we will get the scores after the break.

 

We come back to the ballroom with Erin up in the Skybox with Alek & Lindsay. They joke about him being silky smooth from his chest being waxed. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 24. Erin tells everyone they need to get their votes in for their favorites to stay in the competition.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alexa & Mark. They are dancing a Contemporary to Make It Rain (From Sons Of Anarchy) by Ed Sheeran. The audience cheers for them when they are finished dancing.

 

The judges are on their feet. Tom says, the standing ovation from all three judges tells them something. Bruno says, this was something out of American Horror Story. He says, the choreography was brilliant & Alexa danced like she’s never danced before. Carrie Ann says, that wasn’t dancing, that was healing. She says, she inspired them all & pushed her message right out there for anyone that is struggling. Julianne says, where vulnerability is there, strength is drawn. She tells her that she just made this better for everyone. Julianne tells Mark that he choreographed that very well. She says, she could feel their emotions as they were dancing, & she thanked him. They go to the Red Room.

 

Erin tells Alexa & Mark that was insane. She tells Mark that she was covered in goose bumps. Erin asks Alexa how that felt? Alexa says, she was making a positive tonight. Erin says, it was brilliant. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 30. Erin asks Alexa how that feels? She says, it feels great. Erin tells her she is covered in goose bumps, & shows her. Tom says, there’s more dancing to come after the break, Live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with Professional Dancers dancing a Cha Cha. Tom says, another couple will be going home tonight. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Carlos & Witney. They are dancing an Argentine Tango to What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber. The audience claps along with them while they dance. They cheer for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Carrie Ann says, she’s struggling because it was good, clean & nice, but it didn’t touch her. The audience boos. She says, she feels that it lacked impact. She doesn’t think it came together & smacked her in the face & they need that at this point. She says, they are too far into the season, & she loves watching him grow each week.

 

Julianne says, they have an amazing audience. The audience cheers & claps. She says, they really have his back. She says, Carlos is an amazing dancer & it was good. She gets dramatic about how an Argentine Tango is passionate & it lacked that. Tom says, Julianne started seat dancing with Bruno & then he felt confident to caress himself. Everyone laughs. Bruno says, he didn’t mind the dance & he thought it was really well done. He tells Carlos he has to be careful with his feet. He says, he digged the concept. Tom says, he’s curious to see how this one is scored. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Carlos tells Erin they put everything into this dance this week. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 9, for a total of 27. Erin says, in the words of Justin Bieber, what do you mean? She asks Carlos how he is after Witney hit into him during practice? They show replays of the incident. Tom says, Witney is a covert for America’s Funniest Videos. Tom says, there will be more dancing when we come back.

 

Tom welcomes us back & tells us that the first ever show stopper team up round will be coming up. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Bindi & Derek. They are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Roses And Violets by Alexander Jean. The audience cheers along with them while they are dancing & they really cheer for them when they are finished.

 

Tom tells Bindi that she did it. The audience erupts in cheer again. Tom says, Bindi’s hands are still shaking. She says, the dance means soo much to her & she can’t stop the excitement. Julianne tells Bindi that she is making her shake. She says, every week she is so flawless & she grows every week. She says, she takes risks & doesn’t play it safe, ever. She says, it was a traditional Viennese Waltz & she can’t say enough about it. Tom says, we got it.

 

Bruno says, my little diamond, you got it baby! He says, this dance speaks for itself & shows what a great dancer she has become. He says, it’s a thing of pure beauty, darling. Carrie Ann says, Julianne pretty much covered it. She says, it’s like watching a sunrise & it’s a thing of pure beauty. They go to the Sky Box. Tom says, they have a massive Finale planned for Thanksgiving week.

 

Bindi is still shaking in the Sky Box with Erin. Erin says, they get caught up in her & they all want to gravitate to her. She asks Derek if that makes him want to make it better for Bindi? Derek says, he had an injury last season & he genuinely loves Bindi, & he wants to do the best for her. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 30. Erin tells them that the song was beautiful. Derek says, they really love it & he thanks the person who wrote it. We see highlights of Witney falling during the group dance practice.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the Ballroom. He says, he’s with Joey Fatone at the DWTS All Access Desk. Tom says, Tamar is not back from the hospital yet. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Tamar & Val.

 

Tom says, according to the rules, if they can’t dance during the Live show, the judge’s will score the Dress Rehearsal from earlier in the day. Tamar & Val danced a Contemporary to Wicked Game by James Vincent McMorrow. The audience cheers for the Dress Rehearsal tape.

 

Tom says, before they go to the judges, obviously, even on the best of days there is a difference in energy from the Dress Rehearsal & the Live show. Tom asks Val what they just saw? Val says, they saw a person that really shouldn’t be there, but she wants to be there for her partner. Tom says, we saw a person in the training package that has a crazy busy schedule & she wants to feel her way through. Val says, she came to the lot 15 minutes before they danced that sick with pneumonia, & that’s the way it’s been all season.

 

Bruno says, it could have been amazing, but there were a lot of mistakes & balance issues. Tom says, they need to get through this so Castle can get on. Carrie Ann says, it was a wicked shame. She says, it was a dress rehearsal. Julianne says, it is a shame & it was a dress rehearsal & we know how that it. Tom tells Val he’s always protective of his partners. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 7, Bruno – 7, for a total of 22. Tom says, they will possibly get to dance for more points in tonight’s team up challenge. Tom says, the last couple dance is up next, Live.

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Nick & Sharna. They are dancing a Quickstep to A Cool Cat In Town by Tape Five Featuring Brenda Boykin. The audience cheers along with them while they dance. The audience really cheers for them when they are finished. Tom tells the audience & viewers how good the house band is.

 

Carrie Ann says, Nick didn’t lose any mojo from last week. She says, he came back strong & he was killing it. She says, he came out of hold a little early & was a little out of sync. She says, it was about ¼ of a second. Tom says, that’s like Olympic scoring. Julianne says, it’s like Broadway with the finesse & style. She tells them to keep in hold a little longer. Bruno says, he didn’t see anything like that. He says, he saw Nathan Detroit from Guys & Dolls dancing with Jessica Rabbit. He says, slick & deadly cool. He says, it’s a deadly dancing match made in movie heaven. Tom says, the show stoppers round is coming up. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Erin tells Sharna she looks really good. Erin says, he has some family there for him tonight. Nick says, he’s the little brother, & he had to do it for them. Erin says, he did it tonight. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 10, for a total of 28. Erin says, they are getting ready to start the next round. Tom says, the first ever show stopper round will be coming up next, & they will update the viewers on what happened to Tamar during Dress Rehearsal.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. Alexa & Mark and Bindi & Derek are tied at the top of the leader board with a perfect 30. Tamar & Val are at the bottom of the leader board with a 22. We see highlights & practice sessions for the show stopper team up challenge.

 

Witney, Carlos, Alek & Lindsay went to New York to see a show about Rock N’ Roll on a cruise ship. During this dance the guys have to dance for 30 seconds without their partners. They do the Paso Doble to We Will Rock You by Queen. Part of their dance is with the women on the judge’s table. The audience cheers for them while they dance & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, they are glowing in the dark over there. She tells them to bring their pink-spattered selves over to him. Julianne says, she feels that Blue Man Group was just in there. Julianne says, that lift was amazing, first & foremost. She says, she has to be honest, that she thought there would be so much more energy when the guys danced together. Bruno says, he loves the Rock N’ Roll dance. He says, it needed a little bit more spunk & balls, but overall it was great. Carrie Ann says, they couldn’t keep up for that song, because it was a big song. The audience boos. She tells them they needed to have more to be able to do such a big song. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Erin tells them not to touch her because of the paint. She watches the clip of Witney falling again during practice. Witney says, it didn’t hurt that bad, but this morning her elbow, hip & ankle were hurting some. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 24. Carlos & Witney have 51 and Alek & Witney have 48 for the night. The guys aren’t too happy with the scores. Erin says, they still need viewer votes. Tom says, he would have had a lot more fun with how they looked if it was Dress Rehearsal.

 

Tom comes back to the ballroom & wants to fill us in on Tamar. He says, she is trying to make it back to the show as the clock ticks & they are in the final half hour of the show. We see highlights & practice sessions for Mark, Alexa, Derek & Bindi for the week. They went to New York to see the Broadway Musical New York.

 

They are dancing a Charleston for their show stopper team up dance challenge dance to All That Jazz by Catherine Zeta-Jones & Renee Zellweger & Taye Diggs. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing & erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, that’s why they call it the show stopper. He says, he thinks they are two for two. Bruno says, yes, he loves it. He says, there is style & feel, & it’s wonderful. Carrie Ann says, it’s reinvention at it’s finest & they had teamwork. Julianne says, it was all perfect. She says, she wishes she was in that number with them. They go to the Red Room.

 

Erin says, that was awesome & she agrees with Julianne, they all wanted to be in that. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 30. Erin says, by the way, both couple have had a perfect night. They both have a score of 60. Tom says, Tamar has just arrived & hopefully she will get in the ballroom in time to dance the next dance. Tom says, sadly, one couple will be eliminated tonight.

 

We come back to Dancing With The Stars. Tom shows video of Tamar getting out of a vehicle & going into the studio. Tom says, she is determined to make it back to compete & do what she can for the competition.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Nick, Sharna, Tamar & Val. They went to Las Vegas to train with the cast of Cirque du Soleil. They are dancing a Rumba to Hey Jude by The Beetles. Tamar makes it out in time for the dance!!! The audience cheers for them while they dance, & they really erupt for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom tells everyone to take a seat & sit down. Tom asks Tamar what the hell was she thinking? He says, the show was told by the Network lawyers that they would have been the couple going home tonight. He says, WOW!

 

Carrie Ann says, she has nothing but respect for her, because that was a fantastic performance. She says, she doesn’t know what drugs they gave her, & she’s kidding. She says, that was a fantastic performance & she didn’t let anyone down. Julianne says, they just witnessed what the song says, It’s all about love. She says, they all supported Tamar. Bruno says, it was what the show is all about, love.

 

Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 9, for a total of 27. Nick & Sharna have 56, Tamar & Val have 49 for the night. Tom asks Tamar if she feels o.k. to join the couple on stage? Tamar says, of course.

 

Tom says, the first couple who is safe is Bindi & Derek. Erin says, the next couple who is safe is Nick & Sharna. Tom says, also advancing closer to the coveted mirror ball is Alek & Lindsay. Erin says, there are 3 couples left, Tamar & Val are safe. Tom says, that means Alexa & Mark and Carlos & Witney are in jeopardy. Tom says, that means one of our married couple will be eliminated when we come back. Alexa is crying & Carlos has her go by him as we go to commercial.

 

We come back to the ballroom with scenes from the break of Alexa crying. Tom says, there has been no shortage of drama tonight. Tom says, one of their married couple dancers will be eliminated tonight.  Tom says, Alexa & Mark and Carlos & Witney on this 9th week of competition the couple leaving tonight is Alexa & Mark. Alexa & Carlos hug & kiss each other. The audience seems to be in shock.

 

Erin says, Carlos told Alexa he wishes it was him. Erin says, this has nothing to do with tonight. Carlos is really crying hard on stage. Alexa says, if she had to leave she wanted it to be like this. Tom says, what a way to leave, that was an amazing dance. Mark tells Alexa she has come so far & they will be friends for life.

 

Tom says, they will be headed to New York after the show to be on GMA & The View tomorrow. Tom says, viewers need to use up all their votes with the numbers posted on the screen. Derek & Bindi are at the top of the leader board with 60 and Alek & Lindsay are at the bottom with 48. Erin tells everyone to vote.

 

Tom says, this was a rare show with them not knowing what was going to happen. He says, Castle is new & next here on ABC.
