Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 21 Episode 9

The announcer says, “Live from Hollywood, it’s Halloween Night on Dancing With The Stars.” The contestants are all dressed in Halloween costumes. They do a short dance to open the show.

 

Tom says, that’s how you start Halloween Night, with a choreographed routine from Mandy Moore. Leah Remini is filling in again tonight for Erin Andrews.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Nick & Sharna. They are dancing as Frankenstein & Frankenstein’s Bride to an Argentine Tango. They are dancing to Bring Me To Life by Evanscence. The audience cheers & applauds for them. Tom says, the Dancing With The Stars drinking game has begun.

 

Julianne tells Nick that the Argentine Tango is about kicks & flicks & his was more booty out. She says, she likes big booties, but he was missing the dynamic. Bruno says, bewitched by the creature of his own creation. He says, it was like watching a silent movie. He tells Nick not to lose that. He says it has to look like it’s almost improvised. He says, it lost the flavor of the dance. Carrie Ann says, Nick was nervous because of the dry ice. She says, he was Frankensexy when he came to the front of the dance floor. They go to the Sky Box. Tom reminds viewers to get their votes in tonight, & the phone lines will remain open for 1 hour following the show tonight.

 

Leah tells Nick that she likes booty out. Nick says, he loves being there, being dressed up & being freaks. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 24. Andy says, he loves it. Leah reminds everyone to get their votes in. Tom says, more spooky delights to haunt your dreams are coming up, next, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Halloween Night in the ballroom. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Hayes & Emma. Hayes is dancing as a werewolf. They are dancing a Waltz to Once Upon A Dream by Lana Del Rey. The audience cheers along with them & erupts for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom says, really nice & really confident out there. Hayes says, he’s a real fan of facial hair right now. Tom asks if he can grow that on his own? Hayes says, maybe in a few years. Bruno says, he was like Jacob in Twilight. He tells him he listened to the judges & everything was beautifully placed. Carrie Ann says, that was really improved, & he had just a hair of an issue in the beginning with his chin & chest area. She says, everything else was incredible. Julianne says, there was something different tonight, & he actually gave her chills. She says, he was mature & tonight he was a leading man. They go to the Red Room.

 

Leah congratulates Hayes. She says, it’s like watching him grow up & go through puberty right in front of their eyes. He says, being the youngest in the competition has it’s ups & downs & you have to use that to your advantage. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 9, for a total of 26. Hayes says, he’s definitely happy with that. Leah says, they have to get changed for the team freestyle competition. Tom says, more dances are coming up next, live.

 

Tom comes back & wants to let everyone know that he had cob webs from the set on his shoes earlier. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alexa & Mark. Mark is dressed like Edward Scissors hands for their dance. They are dance a Paso Doble to Hora Zero by Rodrigo Y Gabriela. The audience erupts for them.

 

Carrie Ann tells them they danced like there was no tomorrow. She says, she’s soo proud of them, well done. Julianne says, everyone is feeling the pressure right now. She says, she things she figured it out with what’s going on with Alexa. She says, she starts dancing all tensed up. She tells her to be consistent & sustain the character. She says, she did that tonight. Bruno says, what he thought was brilliant about this was that it was brought to life. He says, it was a Paso Doble, & it was Tim Burton. He says, it was soo great! They go to the Sky Box. Tom says, we are soon approaching the Grand Finale for this season on Thanksgiving week. Next Monday night there will be an all new dance off challenge & the viewers will help determine the winners.

 

Leah asks Alexa if the pressure helped them this week? She says, they just worked so hard this week to rise to the occasion. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 9, for a total of 27. Leah congratulates them & tells them they did a great job. She hurries them off to get ready for the group freestyle dances. More to come next, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Dancing With The Stars Halloween Night special. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Tamar & Val. They are dancing a Foxtrot to People Are Strange by The Doors.  They have a Funhouse as a backdrop in the ballroom. The audience cheers for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom tells them to pull themselves together. Julianne says, having the confidence helps Tamar get to the next step. She says, there was a little trouble with them when they are dancing together. The audience boos. Bruno says, Julianne is right. He says, Tamar goes out there with all she has, but it wasn’t as smooth as it could have been. He says, it was almost like it was overdriven. The audience boos again. Carrie Ann says, they were definitely out of sync, but she is the smoothest mover. She says, they like to see growth, & tonight she saw some growth. She says, there was some good moments & some bad moments. She says, it was better last week when she was on her own more. The audience boos some more. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Leah says, the audience clearly doesn’t agree with the judges. She says, she loves how confident Tamar is. Tamar says, she has to be to her full potential. Sasha goes up behind Lean & scares her. She falls to her knees. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 24. Val tells people to vote for them, because they still have room to grow. Tamar says, she’s still going to fake it until they make it. They rush off to get ready for the team dance. Tom has the music stop & they roll the tape of Leah getting scared again. He says, he’s really proud of Leah not swearing on the live show. He says, there’s more dancing to come, live.

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Andy & Allison. They are dancing as vampires in a Paso Doble to The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. The audience is on their feet cheering along with them as they dance. The audience erupts for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom says, quite a change of pace from last week. Bruno says, it was a huge bite. He says, they lost the shape a little. He says, it has to be from their hips. The audience boos. Carrie Ann says, she saw the same thing, but she thinks it totally worked. She says, she’s never seen Allison go so hard on anybody. Julianne says, she’s extremely turned on right now, she doesn’t know what that says about her. She says, it was twisted, & she’s twisted now. Tom says, they will get their scores after the break. More dancing to come live.

 

Leah welcomes us  back to the ballroom, with a headless horseman playing the organ. Andy & Allison are in the Sky Box with Leah. Leah tells Andy he turned someone on tonight, & asks him how it feels? He says, it feels good. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Bruno – 8, for a total of 26. The audience boos Bruno’s score.

 

Andy likes the scores. Allison says, she went hard on him this week. Tom says, Julianne is still blushing. He says, he’s getting her the entire Marilyn Manson catalog for Christmas. At the top of the leaderboard so far is Alexa & Mark with 27, and tied at the bottom for the moment is Nich & Sharna and Tamar & Val with 24.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Bindi & Derek. They are dancing an Argentine Tango to Cry Little Sister by Gerard McMann. The audience erupts for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom says, Bindi & Derek, WOW! He tells Bindi she scared him, & he tells her not to get adorable now. Carrie Ann says, All hail the queen of darkness. She says, that was danced with passion & a whole lot of sex appeal. Julianne says, they are on a whole different level together, & then they add the intensity. She says, she agrees whole-heartedly with Carrie Ann that they are shining on Halloween Night. Bruno says, that was an Argentine Tango Master Class. He says, it was spellbinding magic. Tom has Bindi make her scary face again, & then they go to the Sky Box.

 

Leah tells Derek her neck needs to be cracked & he pretends to do it 3 times with sound effects. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 30. Derek tells Bindi he loves her so much. She says, the same back to him. Derek thanks the hair & make-up department. He thanks the audience also. Tom says, he wants to thank the orthodontist to the undead for being with them all week. We see clips of different people getting scared all week.

 

We come back to tonight’s Dancing With The Stars with professional dancers on the dance floors. Tom & Leah joke about her getting scared tonight.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alex & Lindsay. Alex practiced a little this week with Artem. They are dancing a Viennese Waltz to Haunted by Beyonce. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing & erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, great stuff! Julianne says, first of all, thank you for coming back to the Alek from the beginning. She thanks him for working on his facial expressions. She says, he had passion & aggression. She says, she knew it was in him & he finally got it out. Bruno says, the woman in black has done the trick. He says, he gave him a character & he was leading the dance. He says, he couldn’t quite see the feet because of all the smoke. Tom says, there wasn’t that much smoke in their since Tommy Chung was there. Bruno says, he’s going to overlook the footwork. Carrie Ann says, the hero has returned. She says, he was kind of half-assing it, & the judges were right. She says, he was solid in this performance. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Leah tells Alek & Lindsay to go by her. She tells them, she won’t bite them. Artem is there with them. Alek says, Artem really helped him this week. Leah hits Alek in the face with the microphone. Alek tries to make an impression of Artem. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 25. Leah tells them to go get changed. Tom says, there is another dance before the team freestyle dances when they come back, live.

 

We come back to tonight’s Dancing With The Stars Halloween Night with professional dancers dancing around a cauldron on the dancefloor. Tom welcomes us back to the show.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Carlos & Witney. They are dancing a Paso Doble to Carmina Burana (O Fortuna) by Carl Orff. The audience erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, Well, well, well, very powerful stuff. Bruno says, he loves the grand scale. He says, it was almost perfect, but they lost balance at the beginning of the dance. Tom says, they have a lot of smoke in the ballroom. Carrie Ann says, Carlos’ dance excelled with the mask on, but he was thinking ahead. Julianne says, she doesn’t think he was overscored last week. She tells him he nailed it. Sasha scares them on the way to the Red Room.

 

Leah shows them her reaction when she was scared earlier. Carlos says, his dance was soo much fun. He says, there was so much adrenaline & he’s just excited to be there. Leah says, your wife got 27, let’s see what you got. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 9, for a total of 28. Carlos is excited with that score & they go to get ready for the team dances. We see highlights for the team dances. Tom says, that’s it for the individual dances. Nick’s Team Nightmare will face off against Bindi’s Team Who You Gonna Call? We see highlights for this week. The dancers say, Derek has never lost a team dance.

 

Tom welcomes us back to tonight’s Halloween Night Special. The team Captains are Nick & Bindi. Bindi chooses Carlos & Witney, Alexa & Mark and Alek & Lindsay. Nick chooses Tamar & Val, Hayes & Emma and Andy & Allison.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Nick’s Team Nightmare. The guys are dressed in pinstripe suits. The girls are in black pinstriped outfits. They are dancing to This Is Halloween by The Citizens of Halloween. The audience erupts for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom says, Team Nightmare, WOW, great job, a well-deserved group hug. He says, he wants to see it again. Julianne says, she wants to see it again. She says, it was all really good. She tells Hayes he stood out so much in this routine. She says, it was honestly one of the best team dances. Bruno says, that was a monster smash. He says, he felt like he was watching the best of Broadway. He says, every individual sequence they did as individuals was great. Carrie Ann says, if she was the other team she would be pooping in her pants right now, it was great. They go to the Sky Box.

 

Tom says, these scores will be added to the individual scores tonight. Leah talks to Nick about Derek never losing a team dance. She asks is they will break that trend tonight? Nick says, he did his best & that’s all they can do. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 30. They are all excited, & doing high kicks with Leah in the middle.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Bindi’s Team Who Ya Gonna Call for this dance. Tom says, they will perform their dance next, & then one team will be eliminated, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, before the break Team Nightmare earned a 30 before the break. He says, let’s see if Team Who Ya Gonna Call can do that.

 

Bindi’s Team Who Ya Gonna Call is dancing to Ghostbuster’s by Ray Parker Jr. The guys are dressed in zip-up grey jump suits. The girls are dressed in white gowns that are shredded at on the bottom. The audience is clapping along while they are dancing. They flip Alexa at the end of the dance. The audience erupts for them.

 

Tom calls them over to him & tells them they did a good job. Bruno says, they definitely killed that number. He says, it was so much fun & they captured the movie. He says, they all looked the same with the wigs. He says, they were slightly off sync at the beginning, but he loved it. The audience boos. Carrie Ann says, the girls were out of sync when they were together. The audience boos. Bindi thinks it was her. Carrie Ann says, she thinks they did great. Julianne says, this group was tight & it was fun.

 

Team Who Ya Gonna Call’s Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 10, Bruno – 9, for a total of 28. The audience boos. They tell Derek this is the first group dance he’s lost. Tom says, he doesn’t need to know that right now. They give each other a big group hug.

 

Tom says, the first couple who is in jeopardy is Hayes & Emma. The audience boos. Tom says, the next couple in jeopardy is Tamar & Val. The audience boos again. Tom says, joining them in jeopardy is Alexa & Mark. Alexa says, Again? Tom says, the remaining 5 couples are safe. The audience claps.

 

Tom says, the look on the judge’s faces & the sounds in the ballroom says it all. Tom says, on this 7th week of competition, the couple leaving right now is Hayes & Emma. The audience boos & claps. Tom has them go by him. He says, all the hugs need to wait until after the show, they are running out of time.

 

Tom says, they have 20 seconds until the end. He says, they are up against the clock. He says, he excelled tonight & the competition is going to miss him. Hayes says, it was great & he’s going to miss it. Tom & Leah run down all of the phone numbers to call to vote for the remaining contestants.

 

Tom says, tonight was unpredictable in the ballroom. At the top of the leaderboard is Bindi & Derek with 58, and at the bottom of the leaderboard is Alek & Lindsay at the bottom with 53. Leah tells everyone to have a great week. Tom tells everyone to have a Happy Halloween. He says, Castle is coming up next. He tells the dancers to dance amongst themselves.
