Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 21 Episode 7

We open tonight’s Dancing With The Stars Switch Up episode with the dancers talking about the switches. The announcer welcomes us to Dancing With The Stars. The dancers come out of red doors that are in the middle of the dance floor. The professional dancers dance for the audience with the crowd cheering along.

 

The judges are all on the walkway after the doors are removed. Tom & Erin welcome us to Dancing With The Stars. Erin says, she’s glad he’s back because she missed him. Tom thanks Alfonso for standing in for him. Max is in the ballroom as a guest judge tonight. Tonight’s partners for the switch-ups are Alek & Emma, Alexa & Derek, Andy & Sharna, Bindi & Val, Carlos & Lindsay, Hayes & Allison, Nick & Witney, Paula & Mark, Tamar & Louis.

 

Max tells everyone he’s going to be himself & tell the couples what’s on his mind. He says, he can’t wait to see the switched partners. Erin says, the switches have caused mixed emotions. We see a few highlights for the issues that the couples had this week.

 

Tom says, there is a lot of competition to come. We see video of Val telling Louis good luck tonight & he winks his eye at him.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, tonight is the switch up. We see highlights & practice sessions for Tamar & Louis. They are dancing the Samba to Good Times Roll by GRiZ & Big Gigantic. The audience cheers along for them while they dance, & they really cheer for them when they are done. Val whistles & claps for them.

 

Tom says, “Well, well, well.” Tom welcomes Max back. Mac welcomes Tom back. Mac tells Tamar she is an amazing performer. He says, everything they did separate was great & they had a few issues when they did the dance together. He says, they probably needed a little more time. The audience boos a little for what he said. Bruno says, big on the girls, I love it. He says, she takes center stage so great, but she had some balance issues with her Samba steps. He says, she missed a couple passes & kept throwing up her arms. She says, it lacked it’s finish, & she couldn’t get the bouncing. He tells her she needs to clean it up.

 

Carrie Ann says, Tamar is the only woman left in the competition that really owns the dance floor. She says, it wasn’t her best performance, next week will be fantastic. Julianne says, she gives her props, because the dances are twice as long then the other week’s dances. She tells her she needs to get grounded, with digging her toes in the ground. Tom says, that was constructive comments from the judges. Tom tells the viewers to go to ABC.COM to get their votes in & lines will be open until 1 hour after the show. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin has Tamar tell the viewers a little bit. She says, it’s a lot to go through to dance with a different partner all of a sudden. Erin says, Louis demands a lot from people. They show footage from Louis audition video from 2005. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 7, Max – 8, Bruno – 7, for a total of 29. Erin says, one more couple will be eliminated next Monday based on scores from last week & tonight. Tom asks who made Louis wear Fabio’s hair in that video? We see a short video clip of Emma breaking Alek’s nose with her elbow during practice before going to commercial.

 

We come back to the ballroom with professional dancers dancing a Jive. Tom says, they were getting up back into the switch up. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Hayes & Allison. During the video package Hayes’ voice was cracking when he talked. He said, puberty isn’t finished. They are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Like I’m Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor Featuring John Legend. The audience loves the dance & cheers for them when they are finished.

 

Bruno says, he’s the ideal prince charming that one day will be king. He says, it’s a very very hard routine, & he was a little bit like a kangaroo. The audience boos. Carrie Ann disagrees, & tells him to just watch his chin. Julianne says, high five Carrie Ann, I agree. She says, there was charm and grace & it was still youthful. She tells him to start at the bottom & go to the top. Max high fives Bruno. The audience boos him the whole time. Max says, it was very jumpy & fast. He says, the facial expressions didn’t show the sophistication, it showed that he wasn’t trying to mess up. Tom says, it’s a split decision from the judges. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom tells everyone to got to ABC.COM to get their votes in.

 

Erin says, she never thought she would see Max agree with Bruno. Hayes says, he feels like he’s back at week one, & she was awesome. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Max – 7, Bruno – 7, for a total of 28. Erin says, Bruno turned in an 8, but held up a 7 on his paddle. They are going to have it checked on the break. Hayes says, the scores are correct as always. Tom shows video of the stars being hooked up to the lie detector machine getting asked funny questions before we go to commercial.

 

We come back to the ballroom with Tom saying that Bruno did actually gave Hayes & Allison. Tom says, he’s not going to let them live that down. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Paula & Mark. They are dancing the Jive to Shake by Otis Reading. The audience cheers along with them while they dance, & really cheer for them when they are done.

 

Tom says, that was Paula Dean & the world’s most perverted milkman. Carrie Ann says, Paula is a little dirty, & that was her best dance ever. Julianne says, Mark brought the milk & she brought the cookies. She says, she really got into character. Max says, this was fun, even with the little flashes. He says, he really liked it & she has some really toned legs. He tells her she was playing it safe & he feels that she could do more. Bruno asks Mark what he put in that milk, did he spike it? He says, they were naughty. He tells her the kicks & flicks need to be on the toes, but it was good. Paula says, she didn’t know that. They go to the Red Room to get their scores. Tom says, Olivia Newton John will be a guest judge next week.

 

Erin talks about Paula’s flashing. She says, she has on bloomers. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 7, Max – 6, Bruno – 6, for a total 28. Erin has Paula show them the flick she did with her hand when Max gave her the 6. She does it. Tom says, there’s more dancing to come after the break, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the switch up night in the ballroom. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alek & Emma. He was having a hard time during practices keeping his hands off of her, because he said she’s hot. They are dancing the Rumba to Let It Go by James Bay. The audience applauds & cheers for them while they are dancing. The audience erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Julianne says, they all just witnessed something happening on the dance floor, & it’s o.k. to show you enjoyed it. She says, he’s really close to going all the way up for her. She tells him to work on his facial expressions. Tom says, his nose is broke. Max says, he’s the dark horse of this competition for sure. He says, he doing great, & every girl feels really secure with him. He tells him to let his emotion be part of the dance. He says, let things happen that are part of the dance. Bruno hugs Max. He says, in the Rumba the feet continuously stay on the floor, you don’t step it. Carrie Ann gets skipped this time, but gives a thumbs up. We go to commercial.

 

We come back to the ballroom with Alek & Emma in the Sky Box with Erin. She says, she’s trying to cool down, because before the break they saw one of the hottest Rumba’s ever. She talks about him man handling her & putting his hands on her bum. He says, he liked it & he was happy. He says, he likes the switch up. Erin asks if they can get a date? Emma says, sure, yes. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 7, Max – 7, Bruno – 7, for a total of 29. The audience is booing & so does Erin. She says, she felt something there & she’s not happy. She tells everyone to vote & says, boo again. Tom says, they got 29 & a date.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Bindi & Val. Bindi brings a huge snake to one of the practices. She uses a lot of animal metaphors. They are dancing the Cha Cha to Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne. The audience cheers & claps for them while they dance. They erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, WOW, great attitude my dear, great job. Max says, he loved it, he loved it, he loved it. He says, it was the dance of the night for him for sure. He says, she’s real, she’s here & it’s been great. Bruno says, she lifts his spirit like a bright summer’s day. He says, the foot placement & precision was absolutely perfect. He says, she just had an issue with her shoulder. Carrie Ann tells Bindi her switch up took her to a whole new level tonight that she’s hasn’t seen yet. Julianne tells her she’s a ray of sunshine with Derek, Val or whomever she dances with. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin says, Bindi is a real life Disney Princess. She says, there’s pressure since she got her first 10 last week. She says, forget about the snake. Val says, they are a team & he wanted to great things for Derek. We see a video clip of Val telling Bindi he was soo proud of her after the dance tonight. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Max – 10, Bruno – 9, for a total of 37. Erin says, there’s another 10 this week! Bindi is in shock & says, she’s soo grateful to be there & share her story. She says, they are the greatest family behind the scenes. She thanks everyone & screams. Tom wants to keep Bindi for next season. He says, there’s more to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to tonight’s Dancing With The Stars with professional dancers dancing. Tom says, we come back with Bindi & Val at the top of the leader board so far, & Paula & Mark trailing at the bottom of the leader board.

 

We see highlights & practice sessions for Carlos & Lindsay for this week. Carlos says, Lindsay & Witney are best friends. They are dancing the Quickstep to Bossa Nova Baby by Elvis Presley. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing. They erupt for them when they are finished dancing.

 

Tom says, WOW, very nice, very nice. Bruno says, that was not a Quickstep. He gives a lot of expressive words to describe the dance. He says, it was magnificent. Carrie Ann thanks Lindsay, & says, to her, it doesn’t get any better than that. Julianne tells him he owed that Quickstep. Max says, it was not a good Quickstep, it was an Amazing Quickstep. They go to the Sky Box for their scores. Tom says, they should get some good scores. They tell Erin they are sweating. Erin says, they have great comments from the judges. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Max – 9, Bruno – 10, for a total of 39. Erin asks if it was worth it? Carlos says, it was worth it & he thanks everyone.

 

Tom says, Witney looks so pleased, & he laughs. We see more video from the lie detector test. Tom says, more of the custom made partnerships are coming up live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Alexa & Derek. They are dancing the Tango to Pompeii by Bastille. The audience cheers & claps for them while they dance. They erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, Wow! Carlos is cheering for his wife. Tom says, there wasn’t any stumbling on that one. Carrie Ann tells her it is the hallway point & the stakes are high. She gives her a standing ovation. Julianne says, they want to see her break it open & see the raw natural person. She says, they saw that tonight & she was lit up when she was dancing. Max says, in her past dances she sees to be in her head. He tells her to let it out & she did, very well done. Bruno says, it was a metamorphosis. He gives a lot of descriptive words. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom says, let’s see how close she comes to her husband’s scores. Tom says, Olivia Newton John is a guest judge next week.

 

Erin asks what happened today? Alexa says, Derek was pumping her up & he’s proud of her. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Julianne – 10, Max – 10, Bruno – 10, for a total of 40. Erin says, that’s the first perfect score of the season. Alexa says, she couldn’t do it without the three men there for her. She says, her husband, Mark & Derek. Tom says, the audience is going crazy also. He says, we will be back with more dancing, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with video of Alexa’s reaction to her score. We see highlights & practice sessions for this week for Andy & Sharna. Andy had to miss a concert this week because of the demanding schedule. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Can’t Feel My Face by The Weekend. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing. They erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Julianne says, the musicality & footwork, she pauses, & says….”Nailed it.” Max says, the Argentine Tango is his favorite dance, & she never took their eyes off each other. He says, it was awesome. Bruno says, sinfully sensual, it was as hot as an erupting volcano. Carrie Ann says, last week she thought he was becoming Peewee Herman. Now she says, he’s becoming a James Dean. She thanks them both & says, it was hot. They go to the Sky Box for their scores. Tom says, no one goes home this week. The elimination will be next week.

 

Erin says, Andy had to cancel a show because he cares about this & wanted to get it right. She says, he does care about his fans also. Andy says, Sharna told him to have a smell the fart face while he dances. He says, they are in a super sexy dance, & tells her to have that face. Andy says, balls & farts made that happen. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Max – 9, Bruno – 9, for a total 36. Erin says, she was always worried about her breath when she was dancing. She tells the viewers to get their votes in if they want the couples to stay next week. Tom says, there’s more dancing after the break, live.

 

The judges are dancing at their table when we come back to the ballroom for the last dance of the night. We see highlights & practices sessions for this week for Nick & Witney. They are dancing the Paso Doble to Don’t Look Down (Nicky Romero Remix) by Marin Garrix Featuring Usher. The audience cheers & claps for them while they are dancing. They erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, WOW, very nice, very nice finish to. Max thanks them for having him. He says, he’s a fan of authentic dancers. He tells him he’s a great performer. He says, it’s not his type of Paso, & he has many more weeks to go. He says, it’s just not his dance. Bruno tells him he’s still the leader of the pack & he’s like a Hell’s Angel. He says, sometimes he went a little too much in. Carrie Ann says, it was consistent & it would have been good to see more of the shaking. Julianne says, sometimes it went a little too far, but she admires his commitment, tenacity & strength. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom says, Olivia Newton John will be the guest judge next week.

 

Witney says, she hopes they get good scores also. Nick says, it would be nice to dance with all the pros on the show. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Julianne – 9, Max – 8, Bruno – 9, for a total of 35. Erin tells everyone to be careful when they call in to vote. She says all of the phone numbers start with 1-855. Her & Tom post the phone numbers for everyone to call to get their votes in.

 

Tom says, what a great night. The top of the leader board is Bindi with 65 & at the bottom is Paula with a 44. Tom thanks Max for being the guest judge. Erin says, that Olivia Newton John will be the guest judge next week. Tom took a moment to say that his dad loved this show & never missed an episode. He says, he would like to think he didn’t miss this one either. He is about to cry. He says, goodnight. Tonight’s show was In Memory of Ray Bergeron January 24, 1934 – October 12, 2015.
