Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 21 Episode 4

The announcer says, “Live from Hollywood, this is Dancing With The Stars.” The professional dancers are dancing in the ballroom. Tom says, “That’s how you start a show.” He welcomes us to the second night of the two night extravaganza. The professional partners get to honor their hometowns tonight. The remaining couples are introduced to the ballroom.

 

Tom says, last night Chaka & Keo were the first couple to be eliminated. Bindi & Derek finished at the top of the leaderboard with 25 last night. Victor & Karina finished at the bottom of the leaderboard with 17 last night.

 

Emma is from Tamworth, England. We see highlights for her & Hayes for this week. They are dancing the Quickstep to Are You Going To Be My Girl by Jet. The audience goes crazy for them. Julianne says, it was fresh & it was youthful, & it was everything they are. Bruno says, it was hip, it was cool & it was the joyful of youth. Bruno says, he’s like a super model. He tells Hayes he lost the frame a little bit, but it was absolutely his best dance. Carrie Ann says, it was fresh & it was also classic. She says, he held the hold the entire dance. She tells him he needs to work on his feet. They go to the Sky Box by Erin.

 

Erin tells them that they were good. Hayes says, he was nervous coming into it, but it came out pretty good. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 7, Bruno – 8, for a total of 23. Erin says, if that was him being nervous, what is this? Hayes thanks Emma for everything. Erin says, someone is going home tonight, so they do need your votes to make it through. Tom says, there are a lot of heart touching stories coming up, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the couples celebrating the Hometown Glory days. Witney is from American Fork, Utah. We see highlights for her & Carlos. They are dancing the Cha Cha to Hound Dog by Elvis Presley. The audience erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Bruno tells him never to give up the chase until he gets the prize. He tells Carlos to be careful because he looked like a horse at times. He tells him he covered it beautifully. Carrie Ann says, she was impressed tonight. She says, she thinks he’s fantastic & he has soo much swagger. She tells him he needs to fill the place & don’t shrink the package. Alexa is not happy & the audience boos. Julianne tells him that he has the swagger & groove. She says, he was squatty & really entertaining. She says, it was fun to watch. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin tells Carlos that Alexa was not approving of the comments. Carlos says, it was really hard going from the Foxtrot to the Cha Cha. Erin asks Witney if she’s disappointed with the comments? Witney says, no, Carlos gave it his best & did all that he could. She says, she’s proud of him. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 7, Bruno – 7, for a total of 21. Witney says, they will take it & there’s room for improvement. Erin says, exactly. Tom says, there’s more to come after the break, live.

 

Tom says, “We are back & we are live.” Anna is from Chelyabinsk, Russia. We see highlights for her & Gary for this week. They are dancing a Medieval Paso Doble to Overture 1812 by Tchaikovsky & Peter Illyich. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing & goes crazy for them when they are finished.

 

Gary says, “Welcome to Russia.” Carrie Ann says, intensity check, character check, stomp check, Paso Doble a little. She says, everyone was rooting for him & that’s the heart of the show. She says, today was not quite as good as yesterday, but it was fun to watch. Gary says, it was incredible to do. Julianne tells them they are all rooting for them. She says, he can be intimidating & scary. She says, he was off on his steps a little bit, & it was still entertaining to watch. Bruno tells him he had some steps off kilter. He says, he can’t wait to see what he does next, it will definitely be a surprise. They go to the Red Room with Erin. Tom says, there will be another couple leaving tonight.

 

Gary tells Erin that it is was fun to do. Erin asks how he felt about being in jeopardy last night? Gary says, it doesn’t matter to him. If he stays he stays, if he goes he goes, it’s all in the grand scheme of things. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 5, Julianne – 5, Bruno – 5, for a total of 15. Gary says, the scores will go up, & if that’s as high as they can count, God Bless them. Erin asks, “What am I supposed to do?” Tom says, you know things are funny when even the announcer gets a catch in his throat. More to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to tonight’s Dancing With The Stars with professional dancers dancing us back. Tom welcomes us back. Allison is from Utah, but she has established her home in L.A. We see highlights for her & Andy for this week. They are dancing Contemporary to Heaven Is A Place On Earth by Belinda Carlisle. The audience cheers for them while they dance, & they go crazy when they are finished dancing. Tom tells them, “Good job.”

 

Julianne says, dancing is hard & it takes a lot of time & energy to get focused & to the place you want to be. She says, she saw that today. She tells him he doesn’t finish his arms & he needs to stretch them completely. She tells him he did much better tonight than last night. Bruno tells him it was such a difficult routine, & he can’t believe he made it through it. He tells him they are trying to avoid his arm issues. He tells Andy he messed up on the lift, but everyone else says, he killed it. Carrie Ann says, she felt him in it & having the commitment tonight. She tells him it was well done. They go to the Sky Box to get their scores.

 

Erin has them show the tape of the lift, & he nailed it. Bruno is motioning how he almost fell when he lifted Allison. Andy says, the comment that hurt last night was that he was a musician. He thinks he’s come a long way. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno - 7, for a total of 23. Bruno says, he called it right. Andy says, he will get Bruno back. Erin says, they needs votes to stay.

 

Mark is from England. We see highlights for him & Alexa for this week. They are going to be using one of his mom’s signature moves in their dance tonight. Tom says, they dance their Rumba when we come back, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Tonight’s Dancing With The Stars. Alexa & Mark dance the Rumba to Somewhere In Time by John Barry. Alexa does his mom’s signature move, & the audience erupts for them.

 

Tom says, there are moments when you can hear that the audience is going to go crazy. Bruno says, proper, classic Rumba, what more can I say. Carrie Ann says, she loves hearing the professional dancers stories. She tells her she nailed Shirley Ballas’ signature move. She tells her to work on her hips. Julianne says, she danced with such class tonight, & it was a classic Rumba & it was beautiful. She tells her to watch the hip action. She tells Alexa she’s danced with Mark since she was little, & she did Shirley’s move as well. They go to the Sky Box for their scores. Tom says, one couple will be eliminated tonight.

Alexa says, Shirley Ballas is in the audience, so she didn’t want to disappoint. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 7, Bruno – 8, for a total of 22. Mark says, he was just glad to be able to dance that with Alexa. Erin tells him that his face at the end said it all.

 

Louis is from Amsterdam, Netherlands. We see highlights for him & Paula for this week. They are dancing the Tango to Get Ready Here I Come by The Temptations. The audience goes crazy for them. Paula says, she only messed up two steps.

 

Tom asks Carrie Ann what she thought of the Bickerson’s? Carrie Ann says, she liked the dance, but she did make a few mistakes. She says, she did a good job. Julianne says, she was giving it, she loved it & there were a few mistakes. Bruno says, a red hot dress for a red hot momma. He tells her to keep the right temperature at all times, & boil at the right point. Tom tells Bruno he’s the craziest chef. Bruno says, “But tasty.”

 

Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 6, Julianne – 6, Bruno – 6, for a total of 18. Louis says, they’ll take it. Paula feels bad for Louis. Tom tells Louis to not critique before the judges give their scores. More to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with the judges dancing while sitting at their table. Tom welcomes us back to tonight’s Dancing With The Stars. Derek lived in Utah when he was little, & moved to England. We see highlights for him & Bindi for this week. They are dancing the Waltz to Only A Man by Johnny Lang. The audience goes crazy for them when they are finished.

 

Julianne says, what she just saw was two dancers dancing as one. She says, it was soo beautiful. She tells Bindi that she has so many sides & she’s showing she’s so comfortable in her skin & she’s showing all the sides of her. Bruno says, it was soo moving, & there is such a purity to her movement. She says, it’s like she the perfect actress. He says, she’s close to perfection, but to watch her shoulders. Carrie Ann says, she’s frustrated because it was absolutely stunning, & it was beautiful until she lifted her feet off the floor & did the lift. The audience boos. Tom says, that explains the expression then. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin says, she was giving this wonderful woman a kiss. She says, in the rules it states that you can’t do a lift in the Rumba. Bindi says, she’s grateful for the love & support from her family. She thanks Derek for being the perfect partner. Erin says, she’s a real life princess. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 23. Derek says, Carrie Ann gave them a 9 last night, so it balances out. Tom says, there is more dancing to come after the break, live.

 

Professional dancers dance us back into tonight’s Dancing With The Stars. Tony is from Pristina, Kosovo, & he lived there until he was 13. We see highlights for him & Kim for this week. They are dancing the Foxtrot to Come Home by OneRepublic. The audience goes crazy for them. Tom tells them their eye connection was great. Tony says, this dance meant soo much to him.

Bruno says, they were much more comfortable. He says, don’t start to play it safe now. He says, they still have more to do to keep pushing it further. He says, it’s a long way to go. He tells her to concentrate on the footwork. Tom tells Bruno to concentrate on moving it along. Carrie Ann says, there was a flow to her, but it wasn’t as much energy as yesterday. She says, she’s a beautiful mover, & she wants to see more. Julianne says, when she hits her line it stops. She tells her to keep going & let her line travel. She says, it was beautiful. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Tony says, he has to give Kim a lot of credit for this week & knowing how much this dance meant to him. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 6, Julianne – 6, Bruno – 6, for a total of 18. The audience boos. Kim & Tony grin. Kim says, no one likes three 6’s. Tom says, the judges made the audience come together as one. He says, there’s more dancing to come after the break, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to more live Hometown Glory routines. Lindsay is from Utah. We see highlights for her & Alek for this week. They are doing the Quickstep to American Girl by Elle King. The audience claps along with them as they dance, & they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom tells Alek he got through that really well. Carrie Ann says, it was o.k. She says, she salutes Lindsay for being such a great teacher. She tells Alek he had a few mess ups this time. He says, they are like a power couple. Julianne says, they started out so strong & were in sync. She says, their shoes met a couple times. She asks Alek how old he is, 22? Alek says, yes. She says, he’s still young, but very mature. Bruno says, he’s going to rename him “Alek The Great.” Bruno says, of all the Quicksteps tonight’s he’s the only one that went on his toes. He says, everyone else did it on flat feet. They go to the Sky Box for their scores.

 

Erin tells them they are a power couple & it looks flawless out there. Alek says, he’s having a great time. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 7, Bruno – 8, for a total 22. Erin says, there is one couple leaving tonight, & everyone needs the viewers to vote. Tom says, there are more dances coming up, live.

 

Tom says, we’re back & it was a little judge selfie time. He says, there are more Hometown Glory dances coming up. Karina is from Karkiv, Ukraine. She says, she was there until she was 14, & then came to America. We see highlights for her & Victor for this week. They are dancing the Rumba to Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys. The audience cheers for them while they dance, & they whistle & cheer for them when they are finished.

 

Karina tells Victor he did a great job. Tom shouts out to the band. Julianne tells Victor he looked like he was 10 feet tall tonight, & he did a great job. Bruno says, he played it straight & he played it well. He tells him he looked like a giant, & got his lines perfectly. Carrie Ann says, whoever says size matters hasn’t met him. She says, he dominated & did a great job. They go to the Red Room for their scores. Tom says, they will be back in the ballroom next Monday, live.

 

Erin tells Karina she’s on fire. Victor says, he likes to take control on the horse track & he wants to control Karina like that. Erin tells him he’s the best, just the best. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Julianne – 6, Bruno – 7, for a total of 20. Erin tells the viewers to vote carefully. Victor says, vote for Karina & Victor Espinoza. Tom says, there’s more dancing coming up going toe to toe, live.

 

Professional dancers dance us back to Tonight’s Dancing With The Stars. Tom welcomes us back. Sharna is from Woga Woga, Australia. She says, she left when she was 18. Her mom is able to see her, but her dad & Aunt can’t because they are on dialysis. We see highlights for her & Nick for this week. They dance the Foxtrot to I’m Coming Home by Skylar Grey. The audience erupts for them when they are done. Nick is pointing to Sharna when they go by Tom.

 

Bruno says, no questions, Nick is back on track. He says, it reminds him of dancing cranes, in time together. Carrie Ann says, there was power, there was passion & it was magical. She tells them it was very well done. Julianne says, he left everything & protected Sharna. She tells him that his chest was caving in again, & it’s a game changer. She tells him to put a grapefruit under his chin to practice. They go to the Red Room for their scores.

 

Erin says, she loves this night when they get to her the pros stories. Erin asks Nick how that felt tonight? Nick says, it was about someone besides himself, & that was important. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 8, for a total of 24. Erin tells Nick it’s the highest score of the night. Nick asks if she’s serious? Erin jokingly says, “Nick Carter, do I look like a liar?” Nick says, “No.” Erin laughs. Tom says, there is one more couple to dance before another couple leaves us tonight, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back with our final Hometown Glory routine. Val in now shirtless! Val considers New York City as his home & his heart. He says, his parents left the Ukraine for their children, & he owes everything to them for that. He & Tamar are dancing the Charleston to Living In New York City by Robin Thicke. Tom tells them, “Great job, great job.” He talks about them always doing great routines. Tamar says, they are like brother & sister. Val says, she’s really changing his life.

 

Carrie Ann says, that was the funkiest Charleston she’s ever seen on this show. She tells them they killed it & nailed it. Julianne asks if they went & practiced last night? She says, she feels like it was seamless & the connection was soo on point. Bruno says, it was so uplifting, & many other positive expressive words. He says, he loved it. Judge’s scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Julianne – 8, Bruno – 9, for a total of 25. Tom says, they take the lead. Val says, it’s the American dream for him. He says, he’s very honored to be a part of tonight. He says, he’s grown up with all of the pro dancers. Tom says, it’s been a treat for their lives to unfold on the show.

                                                      

Tom has them join the other couples on the walk way. Tom says, it’s time to get to. Erin says, they can now reveal which couples are safe & which couples are in jeopardy. Tom says, the first couple in jeopardy is Gary & Anna. The audience boos. Erin says, joining them are Victor & Karina. That audience boos again. Tom says, the rest of our couples are safe.

 

Tom says, let’s get to it. He says, Gary & Anna and Victor & Karina on this third night of competition the couple leaving right now is Victor & Karina. The audience boos, but claps for them. Erin says, “No, Victor, no, please come back every season.” She asks if he hears the audience’s reaction right now? Victor says, he’s had an amazing time, & the pants last night were just so tight. Tom says, he & Bindi are always so full of good cheer & he’s going to miss them. Erin says, Victor & Karina will be on GMA tomorrow.

 

The phone numbers are posted. At the top of the leaderboard tonight is Tamar & Val. At the bottom of the leaderboard tonight is Gary & Anna. Erin says, they will be back next Monday for another live show. Tom & Erin both say goodnight.
