  1. Looks like they've changed the process for getting tickets to the tapings of the live shows, as well. Does not seem like an improvement. Guess time will tell. Be in the Big Brother Canada Audience! Mar 9 Want to join us at the Big Brother Canada live show? Here’s how! 1) Get Tickets Each week tickets will become available for the upcoming Thursday eviction and will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. To request tickets, email bbcanaudience@insighttv.com with subject line “Audience Tickets – [Day of Live Show]” with the following information: Full name, Number of tickets, Full names of guests. To validate your request, you will be sent a confirmation email with your ticket details. Please note you will not be permitted entry if you have not been sent a confirmation email. Please note: Tickets are only available in groups of 4 or less. You are required to provide the name of your guests at the time of registration. Absolutely no group tickets larger than 4 can be accommodated. Disclaimer: Audience members may attend up to 3 studio tapings per season and production reserves the right to deny your request. 2) Rush Line If you weren’t able to get confirmed tickets, join the Rush Line! Any unused tickets on the day eviction will be given to members of the rush line. In previous episodes and seasons most rush line members end up in the audience, so it’s a great opportunity to join the audience! The rush line begins at 12 PM at 915 Lake Shore Blvd E in Toronto. Important! Audience members must be 16+ to book tickets and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian. No audience members under the age of 11 are permitted. All audience members must strictly adhere to the terms outlined in the distributed confidentiality agreement (no cell phone use, videos, recording or spoilers of any kind). 2. So it looks like there will be no "Side Show" this season. I don't see "After Dark" scheduled anywhere on Global or the Slice network, as in previous seasons, either. Those 2 extras figured very prominently in my enjoyment of past seasons. Since I'm usually busy on Thursday nights and have to watch the episodes later from PVR, I won't be able to catch the FaceBook Live "After The Eviction" episodes when they happen. Hopefully they will be able to be viewed from a Facebook archive later on.
  3. Big Brother Producer Talks BBCAN5 Twists Mar 14 By John Powell – GlobalTV The countdown is on for the launch of another season of Big Brother Canada, and this season’s theme is space and time. We caught up with Executive Producer Erin Brock to talk about all things #BBCAN5. “Our house this year is a space ship. The entire concept is that all the HouseGuests are going to board the BBCan Odyssey and the entire premise of the season is that out in space, there are no laws when it comes to time,” revealed Erin Brock. “The idea for the theme came from the fact that we are going to take HouseGuests from seasons past and give them a chance to rewrite their history against HouseGuests of the present in a ship built in the future. You will see that everything that we do this season will have a play on time.” Returning HouseGuests Gary Levy, Neda Kalantar, Kevin Martin, Bruno Ielo, Ika Wong, Dallas Cormier, Sindy Nguyen and Cassandra Shahinfar will have the chance to change their Big Brother legacies for the better, especially those whose games were ended by unforeseen twists. “This is really about redemption and second chances. It is not an All-Stars season but the concept is about people who you want to see get a second chance,” she said. “Gary, this is the ultimate second chance for him. He won the show but he didn’t win it. Neda, played that game for Jon and what is the one mistake she made? She fell in love. At the end of the day, he cut her. She played a flawless game that season. All of our second chance stories this year are a little different.” It won’t be a walk in the park for the returning Houseguests either. With such newbie HouseGuests as Canada’s reigning heavyweight boxing champion, Dillon ‘Big Country’ Carman looking to land a knockout punch and take home the grand prize, this season looks to be the most challenging yet. “Dillon is a huge super fan of the show. He watches the show every year. He could talk about every nuanced thing that has happened on Big Brother Canada. He absolutely loves the game. He loves the show and has desperately wanted to be on the show. He auditioned like everyone else. He applied. We didn’t go after him. He came to us and I am so excited to see what he does inside the house,” said Brock. The ultra-competitive Carman is not the only newbie the returnees have to worry about though. This season’s crop of HouseGuests are a mix of thoughtful and savvy gamers, each bringing something new and different to the series. “I think there is some extremely interesting people. There are some characters we have never had before. There is a young guy from Quebec, a French-Canadian guy who believes it is better to be French-Canadian than English-Canadian. We have never had that. It is kinda of an interesting thing. There is also a French-Canadian girl who is super smart, super sassy girl from Montreal. She is a masters student and she is highly intellectual. She has the opposite opinion as he does. It will be interesting to see what happens,” Brock revealed. Some fans might believe that the veterans might have an advantage over the newbies but Brock is quick to point out that Big Brother’s theme is to Expect the Unexpected and being a veteran or a super fan is not always a benefit in a game where the house politics can change from week to week. “I don’t think it is an advantage at all. Like Bruno and Kevin, they were not good buddies on their season. We purposely cast people who weren’t uber-connected outside of the show. The people we selected didn’t spend a lot of time off-screen with each other,” explained Brock about the casting process. “It is easy to say they will play together and it is an unfair advantage but everything changes when you walk through those doors. You can go in with the best-laid plan in the world but nobody’s initial plan ever works out in the end.” Just like previous seasons, Big Brother Canada will be interactive this year with fans having an impact on the season and the game in various ways. Fans will also be getting unparalleled access to the HouseGuests with ‘After the Eviction Live’. ‘After the Eviction Live’ will be a weekly Facebook Live chat featuring an extended evicted houseguest interview hosted by Arisa Cox, every Thursday night. Following the live eviction episode, fans can join the conversation by heading to the Big Brother Canada Facebook page to ask their questions live. “We really feel that our approach here is that we cannot be complacent in what we do. It is go big or go home. That is how the entire team here approaches the show,” said Brock about the new theme and changes coming to Big Brother Canada this season. The new season of Big Brother Canada will air on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and on a new night on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global. 4. This is the place where you can discuss non-houseguest-specific things about the 5th season of Big Brother Canada. Competitions, alliances, technical glitches, media coverage/stories, etc.
  5. That's what I thought too, at first, because there were only 3 votes last week. (James being the tie-breaker.) BUT, that was because Meech (Michelle) couldn't vote as co-HoH. This week, with once again 7 houseguests just like last week, only 3 people can't vote, so that leaves 4 votes. (James, Natalie, Victor and Corey.) SO, if James and Natalie vote one way (for Paul), and Victor and Corey vote the other (for Meech), then Nicole, as HoH, will cast a tie-breaker vote. (a.k.a. What "Keepittogether" said 2 hours earlier.)
  6. Outlander The Flash Reign Chicago P.D. How To Get Away With Murder Quantico Blindspot Mr. Robot Scandal Suits
  7. I like her. I just don't think she has a real chance of winning, though, after how that first week played out, and getting to see her play/interact.
  8. Michelle, Michelle, Michelle. (Not much else I can say about her right now.)
  9. Da'vonne. Mama Day. Seems like she is more appealing to Big Brother fans this time around.
  10. Nicole's HoH reign has come to an end. Luckily, one of her allies won HoH. And also luckily, there are bigger targets in the house, and since Jozea is now gone, she is not on anyone's radar.
  11. From being on the block, to being in charge. That's classic Big Brother right there. At least it means he's guaranteed to make it to week 3.
  12. Glenn has a HARD road ahead of him if he wants to win his way back into the house. He would have to win 4 head-to-head competitions, apparently. (As would Jozea, actually.) And if he DOES win out and get back in, this would be weeks down the road, with no real connections to rely on to get him through.
  13. I think if he makes it past the halfway point, he could go far.
  14. Well, in recent years (since perhaps BB15?), our numbers in here have dwindled to almost non-existent, it would seem. I guess everyone is hanging out on Morty's FaceBook group.
  15. Biography Da'Vonne Rogers Age: 28 Hometown: Inglewood, CA Current city: Lancaster, CA Occupation: Poker dealer Three adjectives that describe you: Loud, hilarious, and unpredictable. Favorite activities: Anything where I can have fun and laugh. That's anywhere from a comedy club to an amusement park full of rollercoaster rides. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house? Being away from my daughter. I spend so much time with my daughter, so to leave her for three months is going to be hell, but I have to remember this is all for her. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most? Danielle Reyes [from Seasons 3 and 7] because she had the game in the palm of her hand. She was very smart, very strategic, and I feel like she was definitely robbed of the win during her season. Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Yes, in the first couple of weeks, I want to focus more on my social game and build relationships with people. Then, my goal is do whatever I have to do to gain protection and numbers, and then, at the perfect time, get real cutthroat and take [the other Houseguests] down one by one. My life's motto is... Say what you mean and mean what you say. What would you take into the house, and why? My Bible to help control my attitude, one of my daughter's blankets or stuffed animals to keep me focused, and sunglasses so I can easily read people's lips when they try to sneak game talk.
  16. Biography James Huling Age: 32 Hometown: Sumter, SC Current city: Wichita Falls, TX Occupation: Staff recruiter Three adjectives that describe you: Cool, calm, and a being a social tough guy. Favorite activities: Boating, jet skiing, hunting, camping, going to the beach, and traveling. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house? Being away from family, friends, and my cat, Gizmo. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most? Derrick Levasseur from Season 16 because he never touched the Block. Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Yes! To be tough guy and let my social game do what I do best—get along with everyone and be a fun, cool, and understanding person. My life's motto is... You only live once, [so] live, laugh, and love. What would you take into the house, and why? Flushable baby wipes because a clean bottom is a happy bottom, a notepad so I can write notes, and my favorite jacket to keep me warm.
  17. Biography Nicole Franzel Age: 23 Hometown: Ubly, MI Current city: Ubly, MI Occupation: ER nurse Three adjectives that describe you: Classy, flirty, and adventurous. Favorite activities: Watching basketball and hockey, cuddling, coffee dates, traveling, and shopping! What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house? Being away from my family and missing their love and support. I will miss my daily talks with my mom. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most? Frank Eudy [from Season 14] because he was very trustworthy and loyal to his alliances and ally. He had to fight to stay in the house continuously and didn't crack under pressure. Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Yes, there are always twists that change your strategy, so a good social game is definitely needed. I plan on finding a great alliance, staying loyal, and being very observant. It's easy to get emotionally invested in people while playing this game, but that’s something I need to control better this time around. I'm very emotional and get attached quickly, so I need to keep my guard up a little longer, be sneaky, and play the game hard. My life's motto is... Make the most of your situation. What would you take into the house, and why? First would be a journal because I like to write out my thoughts and feelings as a way of stress-relief. Also, it helps me stay focused. Next, I'd want my pups because they are better cuddlers than any human I know. Finally, my ring because it's from my mom and it's meaningful.
  18. Biography Frank Eudy Age: 32 Hometown: Marion, AR Current city: Charlotte, NC Occupation: Medical sales rep Three adjectives that describe you: Personable, funny, and loud. Favorite activities: Going to dinner, watching movies, binge-watching TV, exercising, and being active, in general. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house? Walking through such bright lights when having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most? Mike "Boogie" Malin [from Seasons 2 and 14] because he loves the show and plays a good and entertaining game. Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Get a group of guys that are big targets together and form a "BROalition," [so it’s] targets protecting targets. My life's motto is... "If you don't like what's being said, change the conversation." —Don Draper, Mad Men What would you take into the house, and why? A desk fan for when I sleep, a TV for downtime, and a puppy because no one will evict the puppy.
  19. There's a link to the Chat room at the top left of the forum pages. http://www.tvfanforums.net/index.php?/chat.html/
  20. I read somewhere that the four coaches would be Derrick, Vanessa, Ian and Audrey. I love pre-season, mostly because of all the rumours swirling around, and never knowing what's what.
  21. Some links to after-show videos, from the morning-after appearance of the BBCAN4 cast on Globat TV's "Morning Show": http://globalnews.ca/video/2699681/big-brother-canada-host/ http://globalnews.ca/video/2699467/winning-big-brother-canada-4 http://globalnews.ca/video/2699679/big-brother-canada-winners-nick-and-phil-talk-about-100k-victory/ http://globalnews.ca/video/2699682/big-brother-canada-house-guests-unite-to-answer-fan-questions/ http://globalnews.ca/video/2699683/mitch-muffin-vs-mitch-mastermind-big-brother-canada-contestant-explains-his-alter-egos/ Throughout the season, the Morning Show had interviews with all houseguests the day after they left the house. You can search for those videos or find them in the list of "suggested videos" in the sidebar. I'm slightly disappointed with this year's Morning Show after-finale material, as in previous years they had several amusing videos where they put the houseguests through some competitions and games for fun. Was looking forward to seeing that kind of stuff again this year. Here's a link to an example from Season 2: http://globalnews.ca/video/1321061/big-brother-canada-sloppy-seconds-game
