  1. I've always said it was an odd match. Her image was always squeaky clean when I first heard her, back when I was at school. Many, many moons ago...
  2. Singer Whitney Houston Enters Rehab Again Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown NEW YORK (Reuters) - her publicist, Nancy Seltzer, told The Associated Press Wednesday. She declined to provide details. The news was first reported by syndicated entertainment TV show "Access Hollywood." In March 2004, Houston checked herself into an undisclosed rehabilitation center. After years of denying drug use, the pop diva said she had used cocaine, marijuana and pills in an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's "Primetime" in 2002. She has said she was using the power of prayer to help her get over drugs. In January 2000, Houston left behind a bag at an airport in Hawaii that allegedly held less than half an ounce of marijuana and three partially smoked marijuana cigarettes; a petty misdemeanor drug charge was dismissed when a counselor said Houston didn't need treatment for substance abuse. Houston, 41, has been working with producer Clive Davis on a comeback album. The Grammy-winning singer is known for her rendition of "I Will Always Love You" and her role in the 1992 film "The Bodyguard." Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown have been married since 1992 and have an 12-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Brown has a history of drug and alcohol arrests. The couple live near Alpharetta, a suburb north of Atlanta.
  3. How was the Michael watch this am? I see he is in Yahoo news again. The glittering memories of the moonwalking Jackson, who in the 1980s thrilled millions with his innovative dancing and dazzling concerts, have been eclipsed by pictures of a dazed, once pajama-clad, middle-aged man entering court for another round of public humiliation. Jackson, 46, says it is a back injury that is causing his suffering. "I'm very much hurt. I'm in pain. I'm in pain," he whispered to reporters on Monday. Trial observers wonder whether the real cause of his pain is the daily stress of seeing some of the tawdry details of a very private life held up for the world to shudder at. "I think for a man who has worked so hard to construct an image, to sit here in court and watch that image be eviscerated is very difficult for him," said J. Randy Taraborrelli, who wrote the 1991 biography "Michael Jackson: The Magic and the Madness."

  9. 'Desperate Housewives' Actor Has Baby Girl James Denton LOS ANGELES - It's a girl for "Desperate Housewives" actor James Denton. Malin O'Brien Denton weighed 7-pounds, 5-ounces when she was born early Tuesday at a Los Angeles area hospital, publicist Susan Madore said. Denton, 42, wife Erin O'Brien Denton and their newborn are doing well. "They are really great, really great," Madore said, adding the mother returned to the couple's Glendale home just hours after giving birth. Denton, 42, plays Mike Delfino on ABC-TV's "Desperate Housewives" and his wife is a personal trainer. The couple also has a son, 22-month-old Sheppard.

  11. Letterman Thankful Alleged Plot Unraveled NEW YORK - On his show Monday, David Letterman thanked the Montana authorities who helped unravel an alleged plot to kidnap his young son and nanny and hold them for $5 million ransom. A painter who worked at the talk show host's ranch near Choteau was arrested last week and charged with solicitation. Authorities say Kelly A. Frank was planning the kidnap for when Letterman and his family next visited the ranch. "Last week, my family and I were involved in a little legal activity, and fortunately everything turned out fine, but I want to just take a second here to thank some people," Letterman said on Monday's show, his first one since the arrest. He thanked two FBI agents, Teton County Sheriff George Anderson, county attorney Joe Coble "and the great people of Choteau, Montana. "They have always made me and my family feel entirely welcome as though it were our home and that's how we think of it," he said.

    Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston Laughs at Irony of 'Breakup' Film LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Jennifer Aniston's next movie is called "The Breakup," but she gave no details about her own personal life in her first interview since her highly publicized split from actor-husband Brad Pitt in January. "There is always going to be the tough and the nasty," Aniston told syndicated TV show "Access Hollywood," referring to rumors and tabloid reports surrounding the Hollywood couple's surprise separation. "You just tune out to that." Neither the former "Friends" star nor Pitt have spoken publicly about their decision in January to part company after 4 1/2 years of marriage. But their silence has done nothing to quell weekly speculation in gossip columns, ranging from tales of a happy reunion to an affair between Pitt and actress Angelina Jolie. Both Pitt and Jolie have denied any romance between them. Aniston, 36, has been variously reported to be reluctant to have children with Pitt or unwilling to set aside her high-profile career for a quieter, less public life. But she told "Access Hollywood" that despite being on the receiving end of some negative publicity, she still feels the public is rooting for her. "There has been so much love and support. It feels really good," she said. Aniston laughed off the irony of her next movie being a romantic comedy titled "The Breakup," about a couple separating. "Well, you know," she said, "I just figured, seize the moment." Although she has starred in big-screen comedies "Along Came Polly" and "Bruce Almighty," Aniston said she felt she had yet to complete the transition from TV to film. "I feel like I have got one good foot in there, and we will see if they still want to have me back," she said.
  13. Parker Bowles in Line to Become Queen By ROBERT BARR LONDON - In the latest twist in a royal wedding saga that has been full of flip-flops, the British government revealed Monday that like it or not, Britons will have to get used to Queen Camilla. That's because Camilla Parker Bowles will, by law, automatically become queen when Charles is crowned. While the public has come around to supporting the marriage, opinion polls still show strong opposition to Parker Bowles taking the title of queen. But any attempt to change the rules to bow to popular sentiment would be exceedingly difficult: It would require not only a new law in Britain, but also legislative changes in 15 nations of the Commonwealth. Ever since Prince Charles' office announced the wedding in February, preparations have been riddled with reversals that have prompted many observers to liken the nuptials to a farce. The Windsor Guildhall where Britain's Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will hold their marriage ceremony on April 8. Charles and Parker Bowles were initially to get married at Windsor Castle, but were forced to choose a decidedly more downscale venue
  14. Anniston 'Tunes Out' Bad Rumors Entertainment - AP Gossip/Celebrity NEW YORK - Jennifer Aniston says she's been able to "tune out" the "tough and the nasty" headlines and rumors surrounding her separation from Brad Pitt. "There is always going to be the tough and the nasty. You just tune out to that," said Aniston in an interview on "Access Hollywood" to air Monday. Excerpts were released in advance. Aniston and Pitt, who were married on July 29, 2000, announced their separation in January, after months of tabloid speculation that their marriage was in trouble. The 36-year-old actress said that despite being on the receiving end of some negative headlines over the past year, she feels the public is rooting for her. "There has been so much love and support," said Aniston, who starred in NBC's "Friends." "It feels real good." Aniston also said she doesn't feel like she's made the full transition from television to film actress. "I feel like I have got one good foot in there, and we will see if they still want to have me back," she said. "I've just got to keep making good movies." Her screen credits include "The Good Girl," "Bruce Almighty," "Along Came Polly" and the upcoming "Derailed," with Clive Owen.

    General Info

Berry, Gellar Nix William Morris By Sarah Hall Apparently, Sarah Michelle Gellar (above) is more than capable of holding a grudge. The actor left the William Morris Agency in a huff this week after learning of unflattering comments that WMA President David Wirtschafter made about her in a lengthy New Yorker profile. In the piece, titled "Secret Agent Man," in the New Yorker's "Letter from California" feature, Wirtschafter said Gellar was "nothing at all" before the success of the horror flick The Grudge. An outraged Gellar rapidly exited the agency, apparently in favor of management that can better appreciate her Buffy the Vampire Slayer acting chops. Gellar wasn't the only Tinseltown type ticked off by Wirtschafter's candor in the 12-page piece, in which he made cutting remarks about numerous clients. On Thursday, Halle Berry (above) also bid a not so fond farewell to WMA in response to the article, reportedly feeling that it assaulted her privacy and rights as an agency client, per Daily Variety. The Oscar winner was the subject of three paragraphs in the article, which quoted from a finance-related discussion Wirtschafter had with Berry's attorney about her starring role in the upcoming Perfect Stranger. "She will be treated as an investor in the film for the difference," Wirtschafter is quoted as saying, "and for every dollar she invests she would get a dollar-fifty out of the gross until she recoups a hundred and fifty per cent [sic] of her investment." Wirtschafter also stated that the Catwoman star was willing to "give up a little money to get a good director or costar." Me-ow. Apparently, Berry is not willing to have her financial matters aired in a public forum. The thesp is reportedly not seeking new agency representation at this time. Perhaps concerned about losing additional clients, WMA issued an apology in an apparent effort to soothe ruffled feelings. "As an agency, we are deeply sorry if any remarks in the New Yorker story have caused any hurt feelings or ill will," a WMA spokesperson told Variety. "It was never our intention to hurt anyone."
  20. Molly Shannon Delivers Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon gave birth to a son, Nolan Shannon Chestnut, in New York Tuesday. The tyke tipped the scales at 8 pounds, 1 ounce. Nolan is the second child for Shannon, 40, and her artist husband of nearly a year, Fritz Chestnut. The couple also have an 18-month old daughter, Stella. The merry Manhattanites got engaged in March 2003 after more than two years together and tied the knot in a small Santa Barbara ceremony on May 29, 2004. Shannon is best known for her SNL stint in the late '90s, which introduced her eccentric Catholic schoolgirl Mary Katherine Gallagher, a role Shannon reprised in the 1999 film Superstar. Hubby Chestnut, 32, specializes in super-sized paintings and moonlights as a bassist for the underground alt-rock group Maxi Geil! & PlayColt. After a brief stint of diaper duty, Shannon is due on the set of Sofia Coppola (news)'s French epic Marie-Antoinette. Shannon will play the aunt of the titular queen, played by Kirsten Dunst. Shooting starts in Paris next month.

  22. Janet: Stalked and Stalker? By Joal Ryan California - Janet Jackson, the alleged stalker, was named in court papers by a novelist of the "first Internet fatal attraction story of lust, pride, greed, sloth, hate, wrath and envy in its most rarest form." Just another day on the dockets for the family Jackson. The California case saw Jackson win a three-year restraining order against Robert Gardner, 39, of New York. Per the ruling Thursday in Santa Monica, Gardner was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the pop star and her business associates. The development was perplexing to Gardner who, according to reports, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Linda K. Lefkowitz he had business and personal matters to discuss with Jackson. "She apparently does not want to have contact with you," Lefkowitz explained to Gardner. The explanation was likewise perplexing to Gardner. "I do not want to be considered a stalker," Gardner said, per Reuters. "I'm one of her fans." According to court documents filed by Jackson's camp, Gardner has been much more than a fan, bombarding the singer with faxes and letters for nine years. In 2004, her restraining order request said, Gardner requested Jackson get him a ticket to Saturday Night Live so he could see her host the show. Later, it is alleged, he showed up at the studio armed with assorted sharp, pointy objects--a box cutter, a pair of scissors and a "multi-function knife." Jackson, 38, was not present for Thursday's ruling. (And, no, she wasn't up in Santa Maria at brother Michael's ongoing child-molestation trial, either.) Outside the courtroom, City News Service reported, Gardner said he planned to get a lawyer and fight the restraining order. In Cincinnati, Angela Whitterson is engaged in her own Jackson-related court battle. On Tuesday, Whitterson filed a request seeking protection from the "tyrant Janet," accusing the singer of "actively harassing and stalking" her, as well as being a "complete nuisance." According to Whitterson, Jackson has badgered her for nearly six years by "home phone, cell phone, email, laptop computer and PC" in an effort to arrange "trysts and in-person meetings." She accuses Jackson of hacking her personal computer, bugging her telephone, hiring a private investigator to trail her, and orchestrating repeated acts of vandalism on her 1992 Honda Civic and 1992 Honda Accord, among other "tyrannical things." "You people have NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO idea what she and this has been putting me through. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO idea," Whitterson wrote on her Website. Whitterson is the author of In Control--Like Janet, described as a novel and a true story of a "fatal attraction relationship between megastar Janet and a fan." A request for emergency civil protection was denied by the court. Another hearing on the matter is scheduled for Mar. 29. Jackson's reps could not be reached for comment late Thursday.
