  1. In the clip on tonight's show where Kevin and Jason were discussing bathrooms, Kevin mentioned how much he wanted to win the big prize for his family. I wonder if he ever considered getting an actual paying job, instead of being a stay-at-home-dad.
  2. Exactly, but nobody ever ridiculed him for it. I think Josh still lives with his mommy too.
  3. I'm not answering for fredtheturtle, but I think that was fredtheturtle may have meant is that voting for someone just to make someone else mad isn't really the point of the AFP contest. IMO, the person who wins that should be the person who gets the most votes because s/he IS the favorite.
  4. Mark really doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would beat someone's ass. He strikes me as the type of person who maintains control over himself.
  5. Really? He tried to go on the show before? That's very interesting to me, because I thought he "played" like someone who hadn't even seen the show before.
  6. I don't think it matters how great Cody's hatred of Paul is. He'll still vote for him so he can prove that they all should have stuck with him (Cody) because he was the only one who had the smarts to try to put Paul on the block. After Paul's gift of three weeks of safety from BB, nobody even tried to get him out. It was like Paul was the pimp and the rest were his whores (yes, I said it ), and they spent the rest of the game trying to be his favorite whore in the stable.
  7. Well, I still don't care, but if Cody does win I hope the money goes toward the care of his daughter. If he owes any back child support (likely), that might happen. It's really not much money, especially after taxes. None of the prizes, other than the big one, are very big. BB is stingy. Cody and Jessica talked about all kinds of travel. I don't think either one really has a clue about how much those trips would cost.
  8. I think the Mary Kay remarks were just in jest. Running an ebay business can be lucrative, but you don't need a degree in business to do it. I've run into a lot of those folks when I do clearance shopping. Usually they appear to be the "soccer mom" type. They clear out entire shelves of product. I bought a lot of clearance school supplies recently that I distributed to families that I know who struggle. I saw a few people who had multiple carts, overflowing with items. I suspect they were ebay sellers. I suppose they technically "own their own business".
  9. I enjoy watching the expressions of the other HGs when AVP is announced. Just about every one of them always think they deserve it, and they do not have kind expressions toward the winner. I'm not going to bother voting. None appeal to me enough to put forth the effort.
  10. It's possible, and even likely, given the season. But the questions were very easy. It almost looked like Christmas was throwing it.
  11. I actually still like Alex, but she made stupid decisions and I don't think she deserves AFP by a long shot.
  12. She must feel truly desperate for money. She has whined about not even having a car. I hope at some point she realizes how petty she is being. She's got an education and good health. And she's got family and friends she is close to, so whining about a car, and actually PRAYING for money is just pathetic, IMO. Maybe when she gets out and sees the aftermath of the hurricanes and fires, she'll get over her selfishness.
  13. True. This season has turned into a super snoozefest, IMO. But I'm no quitter, so I'll see it through to the end.
  14. I don't watch the live feeds very often anymore, and I don't even read much of the live feed updates here at Morty's. I marvel at the LFU;s here that they're able to get through them so they can post for others. It generally gets a bit boring toward the end, but this season is beyond predictable. My tolerance level just isn't that high.
  15. Or....it was in their agreement with her at the outset that she'd make it to the end. Fixed "game".
  16. I agree. I feel that if Jason had seriously said, in a moment when they weren't joking around, "Hey, it bothers me when you hit me and you cross the line with some of the things you say.", Alex would have stopped. She genuinely liked Jason. She didn't do what she did to be hurtful.
  17. I think they fed off each other's inner assholery™ (a newly invented word, coming soon to a dictionary near you. ). Everybody has a little assholery™ within themselves. Paul, being the huge asshole that he is, was able to draw out the assholery™ within the other HGs and use it to his advantage. I don't accept that he had good game play. He got so many advantages from production that it's impossible to judge his game play. I guess we're all fools for even watching after seeing that they gave him a three week head start on everyone else. I guess this season was a study in human behavior about how people act when someone gets a huge advantage over everyone else. Kinda like life. Kinda depressing, actually. I'll see it through. It's almost over anyway.
  18. I don't know if we can call anything a "Spoiler" anymore in this season. I did enjoy some of the comments there. "Unexpect the expected"
  19. I wasn't really a Paul fan, but I wasn't a Paul hater. Now I think he's despicable. I get that he's trying to win, but he unnecessarily wants to destroy some of the HGs. That's just evil.
  20. "...compared to some people" Yeah, compared to some people he looks good, but we've become a society of mostly lazy people who take their health and vitality for granted when they're young. The human body is an amazing thing and is able to overcome a lot of abuse, but at some point that abuse will catch up with you.
  21. Agree. His mannerisms, and the expression he usually wears, age him more than anything else.
  22. Kevin looks like he took youth for granted and just let life happen to him. If you have a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, get adequate exercise, take care of your skin, and try to have a positive outlook on life, you're going to stand a much better chance of looking great when you're Kevin's age. Kevin looks sad. His Saran Wrap technique for avoiding exercise that will tone his waistline is indicative of just how lazy he is when it comes to doing the things necessary to take good care of his body. Kevin doesn't look good for his age, IMO. I, on the other hand, do.
