  1. Baby News Trump . . . 'You're Sired!' Donald and Melania Trump Donald Trump's empire keeps on expanding, but his newest addition is on the home front. Norma Foerderer, a Trump spokeswoman, confirmed a report that the 59-year-old real estate mogul-TV reality star's wife, Melania, is pregnant. "The baby is due in the spring," said Foerderer, adding that the child's gender is not yet known. It would be the first child for the 35-year-old model and commercial actress, who lived with Trump for three years before they exchanged vows in January. Melania, who has appeared in numerous print ads and graced the covers of Vogue and British GQ magazines, is Trump's third wife. He has four children from his previous marriages: Donald Jr., 27; Ivanka, 23; and Eric, 21, with first wife Ivana Trump, and Tiffany, 11, with second wife Marla Maples. Trump and his Slovenian-born bride were married in Palm Beach, Fla. The setting for their opulent reception was Trump's $42 million Versailles-inspired ballroom at his Mar-a-Lago estate and club. The New York Post, which first reported the news about the pregnancy, said the mother-to-be planned to spend time recuperating at Mar-a-Lago after giving birth. Trump's NBC reality show, "The Apprentice," is now in its fourth season.
  2. Heartbreak News Kathy Griffin Makes New 'D-List' . . . Divorce Kathy Griffin and Matt Moline on their 2001 Wedding Day and on the red carpet at the 2005 Emmy Awards. Comedian Kathy Griffin has filed for divorce after 4-1/2 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, court documents show. Griffin, 43, married Matt Moline in Los Angeles in February 2001. The couple have no children. The divorce papers were filed on Friday, September 23 in Superior Court. Griffin asks that the couple's assets be divided and that Moline be denied spousal support. Griffin has appeared on such TV shows as "Seinfeld" and "Suddenly Susan." Her latest stand-up special, "Kathy Griffin Is ... Not Nicole Kidman," was filmed in Los Angeles. A self-professed reality show junkie, Griffin recently was the center of her own reality show, "My Life on the D-List" which centered around her climb to be accepted by Hollywood's elite. Moline and Griffin's marriage was predominantly featured as an anchor of the Bravo show depicting her relationship as rock solid. Apparently, reality isn't all it's cracked up to be. Bush, 23, and Murray, 24, were married in April during a seaside ceremony in Santa Monica. The two met while filming the WB's television show. She plays feisty cheerleader Brooke Davis and Murray plays Lucas Scott, a brooding intellectual struggling to find peace. "This is a difficult and unfortunate situation," Bush said in a statement. "I am glad this is being resolved sooner rather than later." Murray issued a statement of his own, saying: "I am saddened to announce that Sophia and I are separating. This is a very difficult time for me."
  3. Wedding News Ashton and Demi: 'A Lot Like Marriage' The Happy Couple . . . Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Demi Moore just got "Punk'd." The erstwhile Brat Packer became Mrs. Ashton Kutcher on the evening of Saturday, September 24 in a top-secret ceremony, Us Weekly and People reported recently. Representatives for both actors declined to comment on the marriage, but both magazines said the deed took place in the Los Angeles-area around 10 p.m. in front of 100 guests. The wedding was described as put together at the last minute and was a traditional Kabbalah ceremony. Moore, 42, and Kutcher, 27, swapped vows at Moore's home with ex-husband, Bruce Willis and her "Charlie's Angel: Full Throttle" costar, Lucy Liu looking on, according to Us, which was first out of the gate with the nuptial news. Per People, the ceremony location was a bit more vague, taking place at "a private Beverly Hills residence." The magazine reported the attendees also included Punky Brewster alumna, Soleil Moon Frye and her husband, Jason Goldberg, who is Kutcher's producing partner. Both publications agreed that Moore and Willis' three daugthers--Rumer, 17; Scout, 14; and Tallulah, 11--were on hand to see their mom marry the guy they call MOD, for "My Other Dad." One happy family as they attend the premiere of 'Charlie's Angels.' In back, (left to right): Bruce Willis, Rumer Willis, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. In front, (left to right): Scout and Tallulah Willis. This is the first marriage for Kutcher, who had previously dated actresses his own age--Brittany Murphy and Ashley Scott--before hooking up with Moore. The "Ghost" star has two previous trips down the aisle to her credit: She was married to musician, Freddy Moore from 1980 to 1984 and to Willis from 1987 to 2000. By all accounts, Moore and Willis have remained tight, and he has come to befriend Kutcher. Moore and Kutcher first began turning heads--and making tabloid headlines--in April 2003. Jaws dropped in June of that year when Moore and leading men past and present, Willis and Kutcher, accompanied by the three girls, turned up en masse for the premiere of Moore's ostensible comeback vehicle, "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle." They have since denied a slew of reports claiming secret weddings and hidden pregnancies. With tabs alleging Moore was with child last month, Kutcher cracked some humor at David Letterman during a talk show appearance on his late show talkfest, "Why am I the last person to find out everything? I'm going to be a daddy? God, no one tells me anything." Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher After rising to fame in the 1980s in such films as "St. Elmo's Fire" and "About Last Night...," Moore became one of Hollywood's most bankable actresses in the early 1990s with a string of hits, including "Ghost," "A Few Good Men," "Indecent Proposal" and "Disclosure." She took a brief hiatus in the late '90s to focus on motherhood before returing to the big screen in 'Full Throttle.' Next up is the thriller, "Half Light." A former Calvin Klein underwear model, Kutcher's acting career took off on "That '70s Show." He has gone on to mastermind the MTV candid-camera series, "Punk'd" and starred in such films as "Dude, Where's My Car," "Cheaper by the Dozen," "The Butterfly Effect" and, most recently, "Guess Who" and "A Lot Like Love." He's lending his voice to the upcoming 'toon, "Open Season" and stars opposite Kevin Costner in the horror flick, "The Guardian." Both films are slated for release in 2006. Jury Service Almost Wrecked Wedding Ashton Kutcher's shocker weekend wedding to Demi Moore almost didn't happen when the actor was called up for jury service last week. The "Punk'd" host, 27, desperately tried to defer his community service, but was told he would have to serve -- by law. Luckily for Kutcher, the case he was supposed to oversee was settled before it went to court.
  4. Baby News Bo Bice Welcomes New 'Idol' Rocker Bo Bice No more idle time for this Idol. Bo Bice and his wife, Caroline Fisher, welcomed son Aidan Bice into the world on Saturday, September 24, according to Bice's RCA representative, Roger Widynowski. It's the first child for both. None of the tyke's vital statistics--or even place of birth--were released, though Bice and his missus have reportedly been spending most of their time in Nashville. The "American Idol" runner-up, 29, met Fisher, 24, two years ago in his prefame days as a guitar store clerk in Hoover, Alabama. The fledgling rocker became a regular at the restaurant where Fisher waited tables and the duo quickly began a relationship. They tied the knot in their homestate on June 15. The baby news tops off a banner year for the long-haired rocker, who last May nabbed second place to country fried crooner, Carrie Underwood on the Fox reality hit. Bice's good luck streak continued when his debut single, "Inside Your Heaven"/"Vehicle," opened at number one on the singles chart, knocking bona fide winner Underwood out of the top spot. Bo Bice But it hasn't all been smooth sailing for the southern songster. While performing onstage as part of the "Idols Live!" tour last August, Bice suffered a broken foot, but planned to soldier on with the remaining dates. Unfortunately, the erstwhile performer received a second blow when he was sidelined for good later in the month after undergoing emergency surgery to remove a blockage in his intestines. But even a little hospital stay didn't stop the big-hearted crooner from helping those in need. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Bice temporarily donated his Helena, Alabama home to a New Orleans family of four left homeless by the city's flooding. "I wanted to do anything I could," Bice told People earlier this month. The rocker relocated to Nashville with his wife to work on his upcoming record. He plans on leaving his Alabama home open to victims of the hurricane for at least six to eight months. Bice's debut album will be released on RCA Records this fall.
  5. Wedding News Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore: 'Just Married?' Newlyweds? Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore LOS ANGELES, California - Actors Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were married on Saturday, September 24, capping their celebrated two-year-long older woman, younger man relationship, two celebrity magazines reported. Representatives for Kutcher, 27, and Moore, 42, could not be immediately reached for comment, but both Us Weekly and People magazine reported on their Web sites that the couple were married in Los Angeles area. Us Weekly reported that the wedding was attended by about 100 of the couple's friends, including Moore's second husband, Bruce Willis. Also at the wedding were actress Lucy Liu and Moore's three daughters from her marriage to Willis. It was the first marriage for Kutcher and third for Moore. She was married from 1980 to 1984 to rock musician Freddie Moore and from 1987 to 2000 to Willis. Moore, who starred in "Ghost," "G.I. Jane" and "Striptease," first began dating the younger Kutcher in 2003, just as she was making a highly publicized return to the screen as a high-kicking villain in "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle." Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Kutcher, whose break came as a star in television's "That '70s Show," is co-creator of the MTV reality show "Punk'd." His films include "Just Married" in 2003, "Guess Who" in 2005 and "Dude, Where's My Car?" in 2000. People Magazine said Kutcher and Moore met at a dinner in New York City in 2003. After Kutcher began dating Moore, the magazine said "he quickly carved out a place in the lives of her three daughters by Willis -- Rumer, 17; Scout, 14; and Tallulah, 11 --who came to embrace Kutcher as a third parent, affectionately calling him MOD, short for 'My Other Dad."' The relationship between Moore and Kutcher has been seen by some in Hollywood as evidence of a liberating new trend in which older American women are dating younger men, challenging the traditional convention of May-December romances.
  6. Taryn Manning Recalls 'Surreal' Flight Taryn Manning LOS ANGELES, California - Actress Taryn Manning says flying in an airliner that was the subject of a breaking news story she sat watching on TV was the most "out of body experience I ever had." Manning, who has appeared in such films as "Hustle and Flow," "Crossroads" and "8 Mile," was among 140 passengers on the JetBlue airliner that had to make an emergency landing Wednesday, September 21 at Los Angeles International Airport after its front landing gear became stuck in a sideways position. No one was hurt. JetBlue airliners have satellite television monitors installed in the backs of their seats so that passengers can watch TV during their flights. "When we saw our plane on TV as 'breaking news' . . . it was the most surreal, out of body experience I ever had," Manning told talk-show host Craig Ferguson during a taping of Ferguson's "The Late Late Show" on Thursday, September 22. JetBlue lands safely at LAX despite landing gear turned sideways. While the plane circled Southern California for three hours to burn off excess fuel before landing Manning said she, like other passengers, wrote a note to her family. "I just composed a little something so that if anything happened they would know that our last goodbye wasn't on the phone," she said. The passengers displayed a range of emotions during the ordeal, according to the actress. "A lot of the women of course were crying," she said. "There was a gentleman across the way who was writing in his journal and crying, and seeing that isn't easy." When the plane finally touched down safely amid a shower of sparks and smoke as its front tire disintegrated, Manning said passengers burst into a deafening round of cheers and applause. "It sounded like Dodger Stadium in there," she said.
  7. 'Hustle & Flow' Stars Survive JetBlue Scare by Charlie Amter 'Hustle & Flow's' Taryn Manning and DJ Qualls On almost any New York-bound plane out of the Los Angeles area, chances are a celebrity will be on board. The ill-fated JetBlue Flight 292 was no exception. "Hustle & Flow" stars Taryn Manning and DJ Qualls were among the 145 passengers and crew on the plane en route from Burbank's Bob Hope Airport to New York's JFK Wednesday, September 21 that was forced to make an emergency landing due to defective landing gear. "Yesterday was a life changing day," Manning said in a statement released by her publicist. "The pilot is a true hero. I'm thankful to be alive." In an interview with "Access Hollywood," Manning said she, Qualls and her publicist were heading to New York to promote "Hustle & Flow." The actress-singer said the pilot notified the passengers early on that there was a problem and the plane would have to land at Los Angeles International Airport. "You never think it is going to happen to you," she said. "I wrote little notes to my boyfriend and to my mom and brother . . . I was not wanting to be writing what I was writing. Everybody was putting their IDs on them. It was scary." 'One Life to Live's' Tuc Watkins Manning and Qualls were not the only Hollywood types on board. "One Life to Live" actor Tuc Watkins was heading to New York. He plans to recount his harrowing experience on "The View" on Friday, September 23. Meanwhile, Manning appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on Thursday, September 22 and still appeared visibly shaken from her ordeal. Early reports claimed that "Nip/Tuck" star Kelly Carlson (Kimber) was also a passenger on the hobbled jet, but FX tells E! she was not on the flight. In a drama that played out live on television across the United States on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 21, the Airbus A320 jet circled the skies of Southern California before touching down at LAX with a front wheel facing the wrong direction. Manning, Qualls and the other passengers had access to MSNBC and Fox News via JetBlue's in-flight TVs, with many watching their plane and hearing various commentators predicting the outcome of the emergency landing. The sets went dark about 15 minutes before the plane descended. JetBlue flight 292 makes a safe emergency landing at LAX with faulty landing gear. The craft circled the region for three hours with its front wheels turned sideways, unable to be retracted into the plane. The pilot landed by balancing on the back wheels, then easing onto the front tires, which shot flames along the runway before tearing off. "We couldn't believe the irony, that we were watching our own demise on TV--it was post-post-modern," passenger Alexandra Jacobs, a reporter for the New York Observer told CNN. Manning described it to host Craig Ferguson as "surreal." She said she had to turn her TV off because it was too much to handle. Her publicist, who is also her best friend, was sitting across the aisle from her and only reported the good reports as they came across her TV monitor. Because the plane needed to land nose up, the crew ushered passengers and their carry-ons to the rear of the plane. Passengers had to assume the crash position, head between knees, as the Airbus made its final approach. One flight attendant yelled, "Brace! Brace! Brace!" The pilot, Scott Burke, made a textbook landing on a cleared-out runway, surrounded by emergency vehicles. Qualls was later spotted milling about with fellow passengers, who were shuttled to the main terminal and rerouted to New York. For her part, Manning tells "Access Hollywood" she has newfound "compassion for anyone who has ever had to go through anything so terrifying." She also gave her praise for the flight attendants of JetBlue while on 'The Late Late Show.' She also had advice for future air travellers, "Pay attention to the preflight instructions. They really know what they are talking about."
  8. Engagement News Rebecca Romijn 'Stands By Her Man' Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell Rebecca Romijn, whose screen credits include the "X-Men" films and "Rollerball," is engaged to Jerry O'Connell. The couple became engaged over the weekend in New York after dating for a year, Us Weekly magazine reported. O'Connell's publicist, Joy Fehily, confirmed those details to The Associated Press. "We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives," the couple said in a joint statement. No other details were available. Romijn, 32, was married to John Stamos (television's "Full House") for six years. They announced their split in April of last year and their divorce was finalized in March. She has since dropped Stamos from her last name. Earlier this year, Romijn finished filming "Man About Town," which features O'Connell. They also worked together on "The Alibi," which has yet to be released. The 31-year-old O'Connell, whose films include "Stand by Me," "Jerry Maguire," "Tomcats" and "Mission to Mars," stars in the NBC medical crime drama, "Crossing Jordan."
  9. Reconciliation News Take Two: Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen Charlie Sheen really misses the missus. Six months after a pregnant Denise Richards filed for divorce from him, Sheen appeared on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" and said he and Richards were trying to reconcile those hitherto irreconcilable differences. "We're working toward getting back together and fixing things," the "Two and a Half Men" star said. The couple never announced a reason for their breakup. But on Thursday, September 15, Sheen offered a hint. "I think the one thing I would point to as a primary reason, basically, is that I was a gigantic ass," he said, adding, "It's the first time I got dumped in my life." Even after the split, they have remained close. Sheen was by Richards' side when she gave birth to their second daughter, Lola, in June. The two have also been frequently photographed together. Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards Star magazine reported last month that Sheen bought his estranged wife a massive pink diamond in an effort to woo her back. The magazine also claimed they were planning a "recommitment ceremony" for December. Representatives for the couple have not confirmed the report. But, said Sheen, "Things are really good. Today we have hope, we have a shot. I made a commitment to this woman that I love, this family that I love and I realized this can be fixed." Richards, 34, and Sheen, 40, met on the set of "Good Advice" five years ago and wed in 2002. Their first daughter, Sam, was born in 2004. Aside from "Two and a Half Men," which begins its third season next Monday, September 19 at 9 p.m., Sheen will voice a role in the big-screen 'toon, "Foodfight!" Richards, meanwhile, stars in the new UPN comedy, "Sex, Love & Secrets," which premieres Tuesday, September 27, and has a leading role in the indie feature, "A Private War," with her old "Wild Things" costar Neve Campbell, due later this year. It's A Rerun for Sheen and Richards Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen Charlie Sheen says he and wife, Denise Richards, are working toward getting back together. Richards filed for divorce in March after three years of marriage. Sheen told David Letterman on CBS' "The Late Show" on Thursday, September 15 that their relationship has since rebounded. "We're working toward getting back together and fixing things," the 40-year-old actor said. The couple were married in June 2002. They met while shooting the independent film, "Good Advice" in 2000 and appeared in 2003's "Scary Movie 3." It would be a dramatic U-turn for a relationship that publicly disintegrated just months before Richards, 34, gave birth to the couple's second child. "It's the first time I got dumped in my life," Sheen said. "I think the one thing I would point to as a primary reason, basically, is that I was a gigantic ass." "I had to take a step back and really take a look at myself and the situation," Sheen said. "I made a commitment to this woman that I love, this family that I love and I realized this can be fixed. Things are really good," he said. "Today we have hope, we have a shot."
  10. Zellweger Explains 'Fraud' Claim Against Chesney Ren
  11. ET Online and The Insider Heartbreak News Renee & Kenny . . . 'She Had Him At Goodbye' Ren
  12. E! Online 'You Had Me At . . . Goodbye' by Joal Ryan Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney in happier times. A week ago, Renee Zellweger was "happily married" to Kenny Chesney. But in the whirlwind romantic life of the Oscar-winning actress, a lot can happen in seven days. Wednesday, September 14 in Los Angeles, Zellweger checked the paperwork box marked "fraud," and filed for an annulment from her country star husband of four months. "The reports are true," Zellweger representative Nanci Ryder confirmed. "There are no further details." Zellweger, 36, and Chesney, 37, wed May 9 on a beach in the Virgin Islands. The bride wore a strapless Carolina Herrera; the groom, a black Stetson. The ceremony, held in front of friends and family, came about five months after the couple met at a tsunami relief benefit in January. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney "I am incredibly happy," Chesney said at the time. "I may well be the luckiest man alive. To be so in love with someone who is so perfect for me. It's just hard to imagine that I'm not going to wake up." Three days later, Chesney resumed his "Somewhere in the Sun" tour. By late July, E! Online columnist Ted Casablanca was reporting on buzz that had the newlyweds splitting up. At the time, Ryder told Casablanca, "I just saw her [Zellweger], and I'm sure it's not true." Last week, Britain's Daily Mail estimated that Zellweger and Chesney had spent 15 days together since their wedding. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney Caught by the newspaper on the red carpet for the London premiere of "Cinderella Man," Zellweger, who attended the event solo, batted away rumors of a marriage in swift decline. "I'm happily married," Zellweger said, per the paper, "but I don't talk about it because I want to keep my precious things precious." Word of their pending annulment was first reported on the afternoon of Thursday, September 15 by People magazine. Later, Los Angeles' City News Service dug up the filing, and the "fraud" declaration. The marriage was the first for both. Zellweger, the titular singleton of the "Bridget Jones" movies, previously had been linked, but legally unattached, to the likes of White Stripes rocker Jack White, Jim Carrey and George Clooney. Chesney, meanwhile, seems ready to keep rolling right along. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney The Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Association's reigning Entertainer of the Year, the singer is set to appear at the 20th anniversary Farm Aid concert on Sunday, September 18 in Illinois. On October 1 in Houston, he'll be part of a Country Music Television benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Then there's the new album, "The Road & the Radio"--it's due out November 8. No word on where the annulment fits into the schedule. In the pantheon of short-lived Hollywood marriages, Zellweger and Chesney's four-month-long union lasted an eternity compared to those of Zsa Zsa Gabor (one day, in 1982) and Britney Spears (55 hours, in 2004).
  13. E! Online Engagement News Damon Pops Question - "How You Like Those Apples?" Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso Matt Damon seems to be in a rush to catch up to his newlywed crony, Ben Affleck. "Good Will Hunting" star is taking his relationship with girlfriend Luciana Barroso, 29, to the next level, after popping the question to the Argentine-born beauty shortly before Labor Day weekend, E! has confirmed. Damon and Affleck will now share more than an Oscar as they both take on double duty. While Affleck is currently expecting his first child with wife, Jennifer Garner, Damon will take on stepfather duties to Barroso's 6-year-old daughter, Alexa, from a previous relationship. It will be the first marriage for the 34-year-old actor. No wedding date has been set for "The Talented Mr. Ripley" star. Damon and Barroso, a former bartender who now works as an interior designer, have been together for two years. The 29-year-old brunette was at Damon's side throughout the European shoot of 2004's "Ocean's Twelve" and has accompanied him home to Boston to meet his family and friends and keep him company on the set of his upcoming film, "The Departed." Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso Apart from planning his forthcoming nuptials, Damon has a full slate ahead of him. He'll next be seen opposite George Clooney in the upcoming drama, "Syriana," a first-person account of life inside the CIA. The film is set for release on November 23. Sticking to the same theme, Damon will also appear in the film, "The Good Shepherd," a 40-year-history of the CIA, told through the eyes of one of its founding officers. Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro also star in the film, which is set for a December 22, 2006 release. Damon is also set to star in a recently-announced third 'Bourne' film--"The Bourne Ultimatum." The movie is targeted for a 2007 release. The just-engaged actor can currently be seen on the big screen in "The Brothers Grimm," opposite Heath Ledger. Damon was previously linked with Winona Ryder, Claire Danes, Minnie Driver (whom he famously dumped during an Oprah appearance) and Affleck's former assistant, Odessa Whitmore.

The National Enquirer was first out of the gate at about 9 a.m., with news of Spears begin admitted to the hospital for a C-section. Days later, the duo launched another joint production: "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic," their little-watched UPN reality series. As for Fey, even childbirth and her 80-hour work weeks on 'SNL,' hasn't slowed her down from her busy schedule. She's waiting to hear whether NBC will pick up her yet-to-be-named series pilot. She serves as both star and executive producer in the show, in which she portrays a head writer for a sketch comedy/variety show. Not exactly a stretch for the prolific actress/writer/comedienne. Fey is also working on the script for Paramount's "Curly Oxide and Vic Thrill," a based-on-a-true-story comedy about a young Hasidic Jew and an aging rock-'n'-roller who meet and form a band.
  16. ET Online and E! Online Wedding News Inside Robert Downey Jr.'s Weekend Wedding Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Levin Robert Downey Jr. has successfully made it down the aisle. Acclaimed actor Robert Downey Jr. wed his 'Gothika' producer Susan Levin on Saturday, August 27. The pair were expected to tie the knot in the Hamptons at the legendary Ron Perelman-owned Creeks Mediterranean villa, but then decided to move the nuptials to another top secret location in the Hamptons, notifying their guests at the very last minute. The elegant celebration took place at a 5.2-acre compound overlooking the bay in a ritzy part of the Long Island town of Amagansett, New York. The compound is the Windy Dunes estate, owned by wealthy Palm Beach socialite Lucy Sprunger. The couple swapped vows before an A-list guest list that included the likes of Billy Joel, Sting and Ellen Barkin. Keanu Reeves made a spashy entrance by arriving on his motorcycle. According to sources, Sting and Joel performed at the evening ceremony. On Friday, August 26, the night before the wedding, five party trucks were seen parked outside the property, and sources say 150 guests were expected. "It's my turn . . . to luck out," Downey said of his relationship with Levin. This is the second matrimonial go-round for Downey. He and first wife, Deborah Falconer, wed in 1992, after knowing each other only 42 days. They separated in 1996, when Downey's escalating drug addictions began landing him in legal hot water, and finalized their divorce in April 2004. Their union produced one child, 11-year-old son, Indio. Robert Downey Jr., Susan Levin and Downey's son, Indio at the NBA All-Star game. Downey credits his wife-to-be with helping him kick his drug and alcohol habits. One of his biceps reads "Susie Q" in an inky tribute to Levin (the other bears his son's name). Downey, 40, and Levin, 31, met in 2002 while filming "Gothika"--a starring vehicle for Downey alongside Halle Berry and a producing credit for Levin--and got engaged in November 2003. In a 2003 interview with USA Today, Downey sang Levin's praises. "She has a real life, and she's really organized," he said. "It's really cool." Levin's level-headedness is perhaps made all the cooler by the fact that 'real life' and organization have never been among Downey's strong points. The onetime Oscar nominee's famous cycles of drug addiction and relapse have cost him numerous acting jobs, and landed him both behind bars and in extended rehab sessions. His troubles trace back to June 1996, after a traffic stop turned up cocaine, heroin, crack and a loaded pistol in his Ford Explorer. Three weeks later, the intoxicated actor was found passed out on a child's bed in a neighbor's house. Three days later, he was busted for leaving a recovery center. Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Levin The following year he spent time in Los Angeles County jail for a probation violation, and, in 1999, was sentenced to Corcoran State Prison in central California after again slipping up. Ordered into rehab, he walked away four days into treatment and found himself facing more jail time. What followed over the next five years was a pattern of repeated lapses, court dates, rehab programs and jail time. The roller coaster ride of addiction almost destroyed the Oscar-nominated star's career. Although he received an Oscar nomination for his starring role in "Chaplin," it left him unemployable, as no production company would insure him. But certain, loyal friends were willing to give Downey another chance, and the actor found steady work with roles in such films as "The Singing Detective" and "Gothika," while taking it one day at a time. This is a bright new chapter in the talented yet troubled star's life. "It's like I've got a shotgun in my mouth and my finger on the trigger," the actor said of his addiction to the sentencing judge, "and I like the taste of gunmetal." All told, Downey made at least nine trips to rehab in the past decade but Levin changed all that, and Downey refocused first on his family life and then on his career. Robert Downey Jr. with his new bride Susan Levin "Once I finally got committed [to sobriety] I discovered all kinds of hidden talents," the actor told the Detroit Free Press. Downey elaborated, "I'm a born soccer mom. We drive to Indio's games singing Clancy Brothers songs, and I can actually get the order right at the In-N-Out Burger. It's like a revelation to me. And I've also discovered I can be a considerate companion--although I still talk too much." After releasing his debut album, "The Futurist," last November, Downey resumed his prolific career. His next film, the murder mystery, "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang," opposite Val Kilmer, is due out October 21, and he has at least a half-dozen other projects in various stages of completion, ranging from the Disney remake of "The Shaggy Dog" to a film about the Zodiac serial killer to an Edgar Allen Poe biopic. As for Levin, she most recently produced the Paris Hilton-starring horror film, "House of Wax" and will executive produce "Invasion," the upcoming remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," starring Nicole Kidman and due out next year.
  17. E! Online Baby News Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld Jerry Seinfeld's burgeoning flock has found its Shepherd. The comedian and wife Jessica welcomed son, Shepherd Kellen into the world on August 22. It's the couple's third child together. Shepherd joins brother Julian, who made his debut in March 2003, and sister Sascha, who was born in November 2000. The littlest Seinfeld was delivered at New York's Cornell Medical Center. Both mom and new babe were home by August 23. None of the baby's vital statistics have been released. Baby and parents are all said to be "doing great." Seinfeld, 51, and his 34-year-old wife tied the knot in 1999, shortly after his long-running NBC sitcom came to an end. The couple generated their share of tabloid headlines during their courtship, when they hooked up just after Jessica's honeymoon with first husband Eric Nederlander. The Seinfelds swapped vows on Christmas Day, shortly after Jessica's divorce. Aside from another round of diaper duty, the three-time papa has plenty to keep him busy. Seinfeld is currently working on "Bee Movie," a computer-generated feature-length cartoon for DreamWorks. The funnyman inked a deal last year to write, produce and star in the flick, featuring an A-list roster of talent: Renee Zellweger, Oprah Winfrey and Uma Thurman are among those voicing the film. The 'toon is slated for a November 2007 release. Baby News Jason Goldberg and Soleil Moon Frye Jason Goldberg and Soleil Moon Frye Punky Brewster is all grown up. Soleil Moon Frye, best known for her starring role as the titular spunky moppet in the 1980s NBC sitcom is now a mother, People magazine reports. Frye, now 29, and her husband, "Punk'd" producer Jason Goldberg, welcomed their first child, Poet Sienna Rose Goldberg, early on the morning of August 24 in Los Angeles. Poet weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Mother and child are "doing wonderfully," a friend tells People. The couple married in 1998 after becoming "the best of friends" with Goldberg two year prior in New York. Frye shot to fame as a child star on "Punky Brewster," which premiered in September 1984 and ran through 1988. But as she entered her teens, her celeb status dwindled and she wound up relegated to a string of largely forgettable made-for-TV movies (see: "Summertime Switch," "Piranha") and low-budget flicks ("Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings," "Motel Blue") through the late '80s and early '90s. At age 19, she tried her hand at directing with the indie film, "Wild Horses," which she also cowrote and costarred with Danny Masterson ("That '70s Show") and Scott Caan ("Ocean's Eleven"). Soleil Moon Frye starred as Roxie King in 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.' She returned to the small screen as a regular on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" for the show's final three seasons. Frye also does voiceover work, starring as Zooey on the Disney Channel's "The Proud Family" and the upcoming feature version, as well as the upcoming 'toon "Bratz," based on the popular toy line. She may be best known these days, however, for her near constant recurrent appearances on re-runs of VH1's "I Love the 80s," where she appears as herself waxing poetic on a variety of subjects from her favorite decade, and 100 Greatest Child Stars, where she ranked 35th. Goldberg, meanwhile, is the producing partner of Ashton Kutcher. Their joint credits include the TV series, "Punk'd" and "Beauty and the Geek" and the films, "The Butterfly Effect" and "Guess Who."

  20. Eminem Enters Rehab Eminem Two days after deep-sixing his European tour citing "exhaustion," Eminem has confirmed through his publicist that he is in drug rehabilitation. The Grammy-winning rapper "is in the hospital under doctors' care," Interscope Records spokesman Dennis Dennehy said in a brief statement August 18. "He is being treated for dependency on sleep medication." No further details were released. However, Star magazine reported that the rapper had checked in to a facility in his native Michigan. Eminem has rapped about the wonders of LSD, has reportedly popped Ecstasy and even has a Vicodin tattoo, but he had claimed to have reformed his bad-boy lifestyle over the past few years. On August 16, Dennehy released a statement announcing the cancellation of the 10-date European leg of the rapper's "Anger Management 3" tour. At the time, Dennehy would only say the 32-year-old rapper nixed the trip due to "exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues" and that he was being treated for the undisclosed maladies. Eminem The European sojourn was set to kick off September 1 in Hamburg and wrap September 17 in Dublin. The dates won't likely be rescheduled. Eminem had finished the U.S. run of the tour, which also featured 50 Cent, Lil Jon and members of the G-Unit crew, August 13 in his hometown of Detroit. The trek had been marred by a major bus accident en route to Denver July 13, in which several members of the tour, including Eminem's deejay, were hospitalized. News of Eminem's rehab stint comes amid some other trouble for the rapper. After having weathered salvos from his mother, grandmother and ex-wife, Eminem now faces a lawsuit from his aunt and uncle, Betty and Jack Schmitt, who claim he is trying to evict them from a house he had built for them and renegged on a promise to pay them a yearly stipend of $100,000. In their suit filed Aug. 12 in Michigan's Macomb County Court, the couple are seeking $350,000 in cash and ownership of the property, according to documents posted at the Smoking Gun. In July, the Detroit Free Press reported the rapper otherwise known as Marshall Mathers III would be retiring from recording and performing following the European tour and instead focus on producing other artists. But Mathers angrily dismissed the report, telling MTV.com, "When I say I'm taking a break, I'm taking a break from my music to go in the studio and produce my other artists and put their albums out. When I know my next move, I'll tell everyone my next move." Eminem If indeed he retires, he will go out as the best selling hip-hop artist of all time. His four solo studio albums--1999's "The Slim Shady LP," 2000's "The Marshall Mathers LP," 2002's "The Eminem Show" and "Encore"--have moved more than 25 million copies in the U.S. alone and generated sales of more than $1 billion. He's also won nine Grammys to go along with his Best Song Oscar for the "8 Mile" track "Lose Yourself." As an A&R man for his Shady Records, he guided 50 Cent's monster-selling debut release, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," and has shepherded releases for his G-Unit posse and his Detroit rap crew D12.
  21. Courtney Love Ordered Into Rehab Courtney Love Courtney Love tearfully admitted using drugs in violation of her probation terms August 19. She was in court for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance, which wasn't identified. The rocker-actress was ordered into a 28-day drug treatment program by a judge who said he had wanted to put her in jail. "I think that you need to hit rock bottom before you make a decision about what you're going to do in the future," Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin told the sobbing Love. Love's voice cracked as she said, "Yes, your honor," when asked by Rubin if she understood she was admitting to three probation violations. She is on probation in three separate cases. Ironically, the actress garnered acclaim for her portrayal of a troubled drug addict in 'The People vs. Larry Flynt,' and is the widow of the late Kurt Cobain, lead singer of the band Nirvana, with whom she has a daughter, Frances Bean. The 41-year-old Love was told to enter a drug treatment facility by the end of the day. Her attorney, Howard Weitzman, wouldn't disclose the name of the facility or whether it was a lock-down program. Courtney Love at an event with her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. The judge ordered her back to court September 16 for sentencing on the probation violations. "There will be sentencing and some further consequences at that time," Rubin said. "I think you either need a long-term drug program or a long term in County Jail." Outside court, Weitzman said Love had had a relapse but will "deal with it." "She's serious. She's sincere. And she's pretty tenacious about getting her life in order." Weitzman said. The lawyer explained Love had violated terms of probation in one case but that "if you violate in one you violate in all." Love, the former lead singer for the band Hole, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge on February 10. She was already on probation in two unrelated drug cases. Earlier this month, the judge issued a bench warrant for Love's arrest, but he agreed to hold it pending the hearing on August 19. Courtney Love At a red carpet event this month, Love said: "I'm clean and sober for over a year and no one seems to care! They're like, 'Oh, her dramatic weight gain.' So, stop making fun of me!" Unfortunately, making fun of Love was a major focus at a recently taped "Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson" where the often lewd antics and erratic behavior of Love overshadowed the subject of the televised special. After repeated jokes and jabs at the lack of Love's sobriety, the addictive musician continually proclaimed her innocence to the crowd. At one point, toastmaster comedian Jimmy Kimmel shot back at the wisecracking Love, "If this is you clean and sober, then you have bigger problems than drugs." Her unpredictable conduct can be reviewed several times this month as Comedy Central repeats the Pamela Anderson Toast including one uncensored version airing Saturday, August 20. In July, a judge praised the singer for making progress in a court-ordered drug treatment program. The treatment is tied to a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of a controlled substance in 2003 when police alleged she tried to break into a former boyfriend's home.

This will be the first marriage for Cross. Marcia Cross As for the other leading ladies of Wisteria Lane, the "Desperate Housewives" are not so "desperate" in real life! Nicollette Sheridan is engaged to Nick Soderblom. Felicty Huffman has been happily married to 'Fargo' actor William H. Macy since 1997; the couple have two daughters. Everybody STILL Loves Lucy by David Bauder, AP Television Writer Lucille Ball NEW YORK - Lucille Ball is America's most beloved dead star. The company that developed the "Q score" that broadcasters and advertisers quietly consult to measure a personality's popularity has done a survey that tests the reputation of performers who have gone on to that big soundstage in the sky. The redheaded sitcom star of the 1950s and '60s, who died in 1989, has topped past "Dead Q" lists as her comedies seemingly live forever on television, said Steve Levitt, president of Marketing Evaluations, Inc., which conducts the tests. "What is there not to like about Lucy?" he said. Bob Hope, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Red Skelton follow her on the popularity list. For 41 years, Levitt's company has given consumers a list of names and asked if they know the people and to rate how much they like them. From their responses they calculate the Q score, a measure of both familiarity and likability. Advertising executives use the information to make sponsorship decisions, while broadcasters check Q scores to see how well their news and entertainment stars are connecting. Johnny Carson Two performers are relatively new to the list: Johnny Carson and John Ritter were both ranked among the 10 most popular dead stars. Others offer a reminder of television's power to keep people figuratively alive; "The Honeymooners" star Jackie Gleason, who died in 1987, is still remembered and beloved. Tom Hanks has been the most popular live star in the last few surveys. Dead stars still do business, though. Coors used film clips of Wayne in a popular commercial, while Fred Astaire has danced to hawk a vacuum cleaner. "Some of these deceased personalities have Q scores equal to or greater than some of the live personalities we measure," Levitt said. "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz and Michael Landon fill out the top 10. Out of 169 personalities tested, diet doctor Robert Atkins had the lowest score. Tupac Shakur and Johnnie Cochran also have high negative ratings, Levitt said. The national survey was conducted by mail questionnaire. 24. Access Hollywood Man Arrested In Grammy Winner Shooting Marc Cohn A man suspected of shooting Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Marc Cohn during an attempted carjacking was arrested after a 5 1/2-hour standoff with police. Cohn, who had a hit with the song "Walking in Memphis" and won the Grammy for best new artist in 1992, was shot in the temple late August 7 when a man fired into his band's van in a parking garage. Cohn, who is married to ABC news reporter Elizabeth Vargas, was treated at a hospital and released August 8. He canceled the remaining five stops on his tour with Suzanne Vega. The bullet grazed Cohn's driver and tour manager Thomas Dube, who also was treated and released. Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the bullet appeared to have been slowed by the van's windshield and by Dube before hitting Cohn. "Frankly, I can't tell you how he survived," Jackson said. Police arrested Joseph William Yacteen late August 8 outside a vacant house where had holed up for hours, negotiating with police. The standoff ended when he was forced out by tear gas, pointed a gun at officers and was shot with a non-lethal rubber ball, Jackson said. Yacteen allegedly tried to stop Cohn's van after allegedly fleeing a downtown hotel where he had tried to pay his bill with a stolen credit card. Dube, who saw that he had a gun, sped up and swerved trying to avoid Yacteen, police said, and Yacteen fired one shot into the van. The van was carrying four people at the time. Marc Cohn Yacteen also allegedly fired several shots while fleeing security guards and trying to take a car from a woman. He eventually disappeared in a stolen SUV, before being located at the vacant house, authorities said. Yacteen, 26, was being held on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery and other charges. In addition, an arrest warrant had been issued after he missed a court hearing July 15 in a drug and weapons charge. Cohn, who has often specialized in songs of loss and longing, said in a 1998 Associated Press interview that he had learned to focus on his family and his music instead of the pursuit of success. "I'm less obsessed today and (music) means more to me," he said. "I take it less for granted." When he won the best new artist Grammy in 1992, Cohn was also nominated for song of the year and best male pop vocalist, both for "Walking in Memphis." "I didn't consider there would be more than one; if anything, it would be best new artist," he said at the time. "To get three is pretty great." Among his albums are "Marc Cohn," "The Rainy Season" and "Burning the Daze."
